Your encircling the bullseye 4 1/4 inch group of herters at 100 yards could be stated as averaging 2 inches from the bullseye point of aim at 100 yards - for the glass 1/2 full bunch. What is the name/source for your barrel light? Did it come as a unit or did you find a barrel clamp to match the light? Thank You
That is correct about2" away from point of aim, but a 4" group at 100 yards is considered poor accuracy for a rifle these days. The light is an older Surefire and I found a clamp, not sure from what, I forget. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Uff-da. That's horrible accuracy. I have the laminated thumbhole stock with harmonic dampener version. It's a lot more accurate than the standard version and I haven't even experimented with the har damp that much, yet. Wonder if the mini-30 is more accurate. That would be better wolf medicine anyway. 🤷♂️ Thanks, John!
Yeah, that accuracy is about average for this era of Mini-14 shooting bulk type ammo. The Mini-30 had accuracy issues in the past, 7.62x39 ammo is .311" bullet diameter, while some Mini-30s had a .308" barrel. Take care and thanks for watching!
Not to cast aspersions on anyone who owns a Mini 14, but the accuracy issue was always a deal-breaker for me. Thankfully, I live in a state where I am limited as to what rifle I can own…at least not yet.
My Mini-14 was made in 1999. I'm a fan . Thanks for upload
Yep, they are great rifles! Thanks for watching!
I'm Alaskan Native and grew up hunting with my uncle's mini-14. He hunted everything from seals to moose with it.
Yep, pretty popular in the Bush! Thanks for watching!

Yeah, the accuracy issue was always a problem. The newer ones are better, but an AR-15 action will usually be more accurate. Thanks for watching!
it has good enough accuracy for a semi auto carbine. its not a precision bolt action sniper rifle
