I noticed that your on the right side driving. I'm in Tennessee and I've got a 2013 jeep wrangler sport 2 door softtop and I've had it for almost 4 months now and love it. I'm getting ready to put a set of 285 70 16 AT tires and a winch very soon.
Technically it would, but with this size we don’t notice a difference really, very very small. We keep up the same pace with traffic and have never been caught by a speed camera (which are everywhere and very strict in Australia). It’s pretty much business as usual. Hope that helps.
Have you managed to find some good aftermarket lights for this 2018 jk? I have the same one as you and the STEDI LED conversion apparently aren't suited for these.

And I also discovered the issue with STEDI for the 2018 JK's - I called and emailed them and they insisted they wouldn't fit and while I didn't buy them I still have a quiet confidence that they would fit fine.. Anyways... I ended up buying JW Speaker headlights (yes they're expensive).. The headlights are amazing, but if you consider them here are 2 things you need to know as an Aussie - 1) Aus versions are not quite 'plug and play', you'll need to do some basic wiring to get your parkers and DRL's running (a 1 hour or less job for an auto elec if you're not confidence yourself). and 2) You need to buy the Aussie spec ones which are suited to right hand drive cars. Did you end up adding wider flares just concernd about Qld legal width limit . I'm going to put 33 on a tj and 2 inch lift so should be equivalent to a tk stock
I’m not sure on the 392 wheel specs Sam, so it would come down to their offset size. The tyres should likely be ok depending on that. I’m not a fan of wheel spacers but yes they would give you added distance. Cheers

This is the stock standard bumper that comes with your Jeep in Australia! You could probably find one for like less than $50, shipping might sting assuming you’re in another country.
@@2asianguys667 I don't want to guarantee it because I dont have a JL but i dont think it will rub. The JL has a larger fender gap/wheel well, and the JL-Rubicon in some countries (like USA) come with the same 285/70/17 tires as standard. So im very confident they will fit, especially if you're fitting aftermarket wheels. But always chat with your wheel/tire shop!
We don’t get the luxury of cruising at those speeds at Australia for the most part 60-65mph at the most here. But for the most part I’d say it’s not much worse than stock. Maybe 400-450ish kilometres per refill. Hope that helps, cheers
Stock wheels should fit them, but there's a much higher chance of rubbing issues (eg, on sway bar) as the stock wheels sit much further inside the wheel wells. Its also a great excuse to justify aftermarket wheels :)
@@xw8462 Nope the spare tyre mount is fine too. You will notice once you do it, that there are 2 rubber mounts that stick out and touch nothing from the back of the mount (that are intended to put pressure on the stock tyre to vibration) These will no longer touch your tyre with aftermarket wheels because the offset is much lower (so like how the wheels stick out further from the car), so you do need to take note the extra vibration and weight of the tyre on the spare tyre mount. You are certainly not increasing its longevity. I never replaced these rubber mounts in my old JK (not this white one) and never had a problem over the years I owned it. It probably depends on how much off-roading you're doing. But you can buy replacement rubber supports that are longer and are not too expensive. Or, if in the unlikely event something eventually goes wrong, its a good excuse to upgrade to an aftermarket spare tyre mount, or maybe a new rear bar too :)

Not yet - haven’t had an issue here so far. It’s very minor compared to a lot of other 4x4s on the road.

A little but nothing substantially different in my opinion. Wind noise still wins.
Just bought a 2016 jk willys looking at adding 392 rubicon wheels and tires. 285/70/17. Recommend a 1”wheel spacers?
