The problem with buying all these south american wonder kids, is that in two years there will be another crop of the same, being bought by our rivals, and so it goes on.

@@christianjohn9359 I don't foresee anyone dominating the league in England to the extent of attaining Real Madrid's attraction. Pep and Ferguson, Shankly and Paisley are rarities.. You're lucky if you get one every 25 years that can do that to the league. It's not just about having good players. The manager is the chess player. You can have a nice handcrafted board with the most incredibly detailed pieces, but if the chess player (manager) is not great, success will be limited. The manager is so underrated in football, I find. He is the general and the players are his troops. Only the most exceptional generals can guide those troops to consistent success. Chelsea's absolute historical peak resulted in only 2 in a row, with one of the best ever managers. I can't even imagine us having a team that like that again, nevermind in combination with one of the best managers ever. We haven't even finished crafting the chessboard and people are dreaming of checkmates.
