Thank you. I am in RCIA. Raised Baptist. I am saying the Rosary every morning. Today was the assumption. I thought, “How can I meditate on something that I don’t know about?” So I googled and found this. Thank you. I have read Revelations many times. When I read today, it was like the first time.
@Broruben Mont The catholic has been around for over 2000 years and came with a lot of traditions that were practiced before the Bible was put together.
For example, Our Lady of Kibeho taught the visionary Claire how to pray the 7 sorrows of Mary and asked her to teach it and reintruce it to the world.
Before that, she appeared to a visionary from Sweden with the same rosary.
She said she appears to whom she wants as longer as it doesn't interfere with Her son will.
She foretold the Rwandan genocide 10 years before it happened.
If you are interested just ask God if it is ok to pray the rosary and do your own research about her apparitions. That is what I did anyway and now I am here declaring that I finally have a heavenly mother.
All of this since last April during lent that when I started asking God.
Now I have decided to devote my whole life to the 7 sorrows of Mary rosary.
Asking her to pray for me in the name of Jesus Christ has been the best testimony of my life.

If you Love the Catholic Church, then what you are saying is, I believe in God, I believe in the Holy Eucharist, I believe in His saving Plan, I believe He established a Church, I believe in eternal life, therefore, I believe in God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. The Church is the Body of Christ, the Holy Eucharist is Christ True Body and Blood, the Mana..Now we just wait for the promise land which is Heaven. But she did NOT ascended there with her body like the church sais. The Assumption is based on another UNbiblical philosophy, that she had no sin. Assumption of Mary could NOT take place if she was sinner.

I watch these videos trying to learn the apologetics I’m not exactly great at it but there is a video from Ray comfort do Catholics worship Mary some have made good arguments to explain that it is not worship but respect and asking for her to pray for us but one of the tactics they use in Ray comfort Ministry is to read parts of scripture and debunk it I disagree because there is a fullness in Scripture that if you don’t read all of the verse or chapter in context you are missing something I wonder if you would be interested in using some of these apologetics that you have learned on some of his channels maybe this would help

Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant - that is true. She contained within her the living Bread of Life, the living Word of God, the eternal High Priest. John the Baptist danced before Mary just as David danced before the original Ark of the Covenant. There are many more correlations, some of which are mentioned in this video. Mary is the new Eve and the Queen Mother.
I would also like to point out that during the Mass the Bible is read - the first reading is from the OT, then there is a Psalm, the second reading is from the NT, and then there is the Gospel. Catholics actually read the Bible and hear it when they attend Mass. I'm just pointing this out as I am often told that Catholics never read the Bible and know nothing of it.

When I began studying Scriptures to find out the parallels between the Ark of the Covenant and Mary, I was really surprised to find out there were so many. Here are some:
1. The ark traveled to the house of Obededom in the hill country of Judea (2 Sam. 6:1-11).
Mary traveled to the house of Elizabeth and Zechariah in the hill country of Judea (Luke 1:39).
2. Dressed as a priest, David danced and leapt in front of the ark (2 Sam. 6:14).
John the Baptist - of priestly lineage - leapt in his mother's womb at the approach of Mary (Luke 1:41).
3. David asks, "How can the ark of the Lord come to me?" (2 Sam. 6:9).
Elizabeth asks, "Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Luke 1:43).
4. David shouts in the presence of the ark (2 Sam. 6:15).
Elizabeth "exclaimed with a loud cry" in the presence of Mary (Luke 1:42).
5. The ark remained in the house of Obed-edom for three months (2 Sam. 6:11).
Mary remained in the house of Elizabeth for three months (Luke 1:56).
6. The house of Obed-edom was blessed by the presence of the ark (2 Sam. 6:11).
The word "blessed" is used three times; surely the house was blessed by God (Luke 1:39-45).
7. The ark returns to its home and ends up in Jerusalem, where God's presence and glory is revealed in the temple (2 Sam. 6:12; 1 Kgs. 8:9-11).
Mary returns home and eventually ends up in Jerusalem, where she presents God incarnate in the temple (Luke 1:56; 2:21-22).

8. The Ark of the Covenant contained the stone tablets, manna, and the budded Rod of Aaron.
Mary contained within her womb the Word of God, the Bread of Life, and the eternal High Priest.
9. The Ark of the Covenant was constructed to specifications laid out by God Himself.
Mary was created in the Image and Likeness of God.
As for being a queen, the heavenly kingdom is foreshadowed by the Davidic kingdom in the OT. In that kingdom, Bathsheba was the queen mother and Solomon would not turn down her request. Mary is the Queen Mother to her Son, Jesus.
I believe Scriptures are the word of God and are of paramount importance. I believe them all. I know that God became incarnate through a Jewish woman named Mary, not a fake goddess that never even existed. God chose to come to us in this way so it is fitting. And I am not going to complain about it or tell God I don't like it or beg to differ. And I would be careful about comparing the Theotokos to a fake pagan goddess.

Have I said that anyone who disagrees is not Christian? Perhaps you have me mixed up with someone else because I have NEVER said that and I find the thought repugnant. Where did you come up with that? And do I need your permission to respect, admire, and love Mary? I did not put Mary on a throne. God did. She is the Queen Mother because of God's grace. Gabriel called her "ketcharitomene", which basically means "chock full of grace". Gabriel is a messenger. God is the one who made Mary full of grace.
Jesus followed the Ten Commandments. Among those Commandments is "Honor thy father and thy mother". Jesus, being God, honors Mary perfectly. Should we do any less? Shouldn't we try to be like Jesus?

Note what Elizabeth said to Mary. "Blessed art thou among women", "And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?", "as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy", "blessed art thou that hast believed".
Elizabeth herself used the words "leaped for joy" and she was filled with the Holy Spirit when she said them. So she was speaking the absolute truth. But you want it to be "the infant stirred because the baby Jesus was nearby"?
No. The word of God is far too important to screw around with. I will stick to the Scriptures here because they are the word of God and what you have said is not.

The Father has revealed the fullness of the truth through his one true church. We do not have to be PHD’s or Scholars to see what Mr. Hahn just showed us. We simply have to go to mass and listen. And I argue that every mass is just as informative. The old in the light of the new and vice versa. All in line and in the light of catholocism!

We Catholics believe the powerful prayer of the Blessed Mother. If Jesus has been seen talking to Moses and Elijah in Mt 17:1-13 and Lk 9:28-36, why not the Blessed Mother nor the Saints? To think that most fundamentalist always question the *'Assumption of Moses not being in the Bible'* but seen talking to Jesus very much alive.
If we are encourage to ask for prayers from others, why not ask for the help of the Saints in heaven? These saints are part of God's plan to bring everyone else to HIM. *The Saints prayers are very much in Rev 5: 8* "When he took it, the 4 living creatures and the 24 elders held a harp gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the Holy Ones or Saints."
So the Saints must be aware of our prayers if they are offering our prayers to God. They are aware of our petitions and present them to God by interceding for us. John is very much explicit that the saints are actively interceding for us since they are holding the incense offerings which are the prayers of the saints to God. Prayers are not physical thing that can be offered.
When everyone asks for prayers, we mediate on behalf of that person, we intercede on behalf of those who are asking for help.
Prayer is not, by definition, necessarily equated with the *'Adoration' that is due God alone. Prayer CAN certainly involve an act of adoration when it is directed to God, but the term does not necessarily denote adoration. It can simply mean “an entreaty’.* In Latin precari "to ask earnestly, beg, entreat.” Example laying hands while praying could mean invoking a spiritual blessings on someone.

I agree 100% Denny. Our brother Robert, who has issue with Our Lady, should study Dr. Hahn's conversion story. Dr. Hahn took issue with Mary also. But after much study and much prayer, here he is, one of the leading Catholic theologians in the Church today. Praise God!

Very interesting. For myself I was brought up Presbyterian. When I met my wife she was catholic. I went to church with her a few times, but it did nothing for me. Many years later we are attending and are members of a Pentecostal Holiness church. I have been to the local Catholic Church and just found it bordering on depressing. Perhaps other churches are a little more up beat and would be more inspiring. I once went a Catholic funeral and the priest started to give the eulogy but happened to be popping peanuts in his mouth while doing it. That kind of did it for me. I do however enjoy listening to Dr. Hahn and learning more about scripture.

Jesus who is the word of God was planted in Mary . The word became flesh and dwelt among us. Why was Jesus born of a virgin because only the blood of God could pay for the sins of the entire world. Now, not mother in the sense of being older than him or the source of his divinity, but mother in the sense that she carried him in her womb and gave birth to him on earth, meaning she contributed the genetic matter to the human form God took in Jesus Christ. Mary was obedient to the calling of God and became the handmaiden of the Lord but she is not God and she isn’t omnipresent or omniscient. @@seanrathmakedisciples1508 Jesus is my savior, but we are not saved yet... if you think you're saved already then that must change. We strive to BECOME saved in Heaven by Christ. Christ's death on the cross and resurrection saved us from our sins, therefore giving us a CHANCE at salvation. Before his death, the gates of Heaven were not opened. After his death and resurrection, the gates of Heaven were opened, and God, who is Christ Jesus, welcomed those who accepted his love into Heaven, therefore saving their souls. Accept God's love, do his will, love others as he loves you, answer the call to the sacraments (bapstims, confession, receiving his Holy Body and Blood, Confirmation, etc.), go to the holy Mass. This is what God calls us to do. We are not saved yet, as we become saved when we reach Heaven, and I'm praying that you do so as well as all souls on earth.

Baptism always followed immediately after believing that Jesus died for all your sins past present and future sins ( 2000 years ago on Calvary). and being filled with the Holy Spirit by asking Jesus to fill you. The rest of our lives is led by renewing our minds by god’s word and becoming disciples of Jesus while making other disciples. Acts 2:38 Saint Peter gives us the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Thank you Scott for your perspective of the Faith. I have relatives of another Christian denomination, and when I visit their Church, It always seems to be scriptures in the general area of the readings read in Mass. I enjoy the worship service, and the contemporary Christian music/psalms. My non-catholic family and friends make me feel welcome in their congregation. Why do some Christians judge us for including Mary in our prayer life? I've been to a couple of Calvary chapel services, here in Massachusetts, and it felt as if every example of how not to pray, was the ways that we catholics do. I have nothing but love for my sister's & brother's in Christ. I wonder if other Christians knew the headache it causes, would they open the eyes of their hearts, and accept us in light of our differences in traditions? Converting the convinced isn't really what the great commission's intention is. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, all the apostles and saints knew and know this. Love one another as He has loved us. Pass on God's passion. Peace out.
