As a former Protestant and recently reverted to Catholicism, you have no idea how helpful and mind blowing this video is! I search continuously to understand and learn these concepts, especially regarding the Blessed Mother, and I’m very grateful for this! Praise God, He leads me to the answers to my questions one by one, and opens my mind to these truths that I was so blind before. God bless you!
If you actually believe the scriptures as being without error and being the word of God then you might consider ,that in 73 books of the bible that you claim to believe, that no one prays to anyone other than God. No one prays to anyone other than God. In those 73 books is the example of who we are to got to so your asking Mary to do something for you is not scriptural at all.
@@brucewmclaughlin9072 She is the greatest intercessor, the mother of God. Read the greeting Mary got from the angel Gabriel and Elizabeth and the wedding at Cana. Come on man read, not just what you think proves your position but read the whole thing. Remember, the mother of the king is the queen mother.
@@cheese9879 Strange as how God's written word the scriptures point us to Christ being our intercessor not His mother. Cana story and you think her words are intercession ? If you are sitting at the dinner table and ask someone to pass the salt because someone at their end of the table needs it , you are now interceding? Do you not find it a bit strange that the writers of the Gospels Matthew and Mark both list the names of Jesus Christ's step siblings but not even a hint of Mary being more than the most blessed , and the mother of Jesus . Read God's word for yourself , don't just accept what any church group tells you.
Thank you. I really appreciate this teaching on the Assumption of the Blessed Mary. Iam learning so much as I move closer to joining the Catholic Church starting this week in RCIA. Blessings ✝️

Thank you Dr.Owens,May the blessed Virginia Mary continue to be with you and your family, thanks for your Wisdom of God and your mission to the catholic church.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. He alone ever lives to make intercession for us as a glorified man who is able to sympathise with us having been down here on earth with all its trials and tribulations himself. It does NOT say one mediator and one woman!!!
I too am always craving more and better understanding-so I very much appreciate your devotion to scholarly work but most especially to your sharing it with those of us who can’t do what you do. THANK YOU!!
Thank you, that was really well researched and presented. I made me think about when Jesus was in the womb, Mary and He were sharing the same body, that alone makes her so special and worthy to be in heaven without judgement. She had her judgement before she was born somehow in God's ultimate creation story... May we all pray to her today and everyday, especially with the special weapon of the Rosary.
Heaven yeah!! Great exposition of this Christian dogma and promise for those who trust in the Lord like Mary- “Let it be done to me according to thy word”- Amen
Señor acrecienta mi fe y ayúdame a no dudar de ti. María reina en los cielos , madre de la Iglesia. Iglesia que brota del costado de cristo como esposa nueva Eva
Song Of Solomon Many verses are references to the Blessed Virgin Arise my love, my dove, my perfect one You are a garden enclosed, my bride A fountain sealed. Eve was the first woman. She said No to God's plan Mary is the new woman. She said yes to God's plan Moses bore the Law FROM God Mary bore God The Theotokos is With her Divine son, Christ God in the kingdom
it's actually sufficiently revealed in the Bible. Being the New Ark is sufficiently demonstrated, and in the Psalms, the Ark is declared to be requisitely in Heaven. The Ark is not her soul, it's her body; which is what John clearly sees and declares. It's even clearer than Jesus' divinity because He never declares Himself to be God nor asks us to pray to Him. But the Ark being in Heaven is in black and white.
Here’s some practical proof for Mary’s Assumption. No faith venerates and hold dear first class relics of saints more than the Catholic Church. The most important of those relics would be from our Blessed Mother. But we have NO first class relics in spite of there being two tombs of our Blessed Mother, one in Jerusalem and one in Ephesus. Why is there no first class relics? Because she was assumed, body and soul, into heaven where she sits as the Queen Mother with her Son, the King of Kings.
@Cabrece55, Amen!! May the Lord continue to bless You to the fullest truth of the Gospel scriptures. Spiritually is always growing! We still have all eternity to continue learning!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊️🌿
❤❤❤ May God bless all of us who believe, love Mother Mary and hope in Her Mercy. May there be conversion of sinners. Blessed be God with His Mother Forever. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Upcoming soldiers from Scott Hann camp!!! Great work brother Awesome explanation Can you please help on the below In revelation 12 why does the Holy Bible say about women again giving birth.. Should we take it literally or what exactly is that
This reminds me of the faithfully true refrain: "A text without context is pretext." And alas, no such beliefs about Mary exist in either scripture or the earliest Fathers. But what's that against abstract philosophizing cloaked in pious theological garb. Hence, the "Queen of Heaven" Part 2: "But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem." Jeremiah 44:17.
I don’t know if you will ever see this .. to anyone else seeing this , the queen of heaven referred in Jeremiah 44:17 and chapter 7:18 .. all these refer to some sort of idol that existed at that point of time , which indeed did exist and it was the the moon ( again look it up if you are that much into scriptures that I think you should be willing to do the work and find out what this actually means historically) The people back then were leaving out God the creator and worshipping moon. On the other hand the revelations and psalm, point out that Mary is the queen of the heaven, because Christ has been mentioned , either as a baby to be delivered or a king. In Old Testament, the mother of the king is the queen. And even if that is not something scriptural for you then do read KJV psalms 45:9 and before you do ask the Holy Spirit to see what God wants you to see.
- For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 - Deuteronomy says dont talk to the dead and it was also one of the reasons Saul died. - As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you. He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it. Luke 11:27-28 - No where in the Bible are we instructed to venerate dead people and ask them to pray for us - Just because it's been practiced a long time doesn’t make it correct. - The RCC has tried to mend the veil and become the conduit to salvation.
And your answer is right in your rebuttal: Blessed are those who hear the word and obey it : Lk11: 27-28 Who obey the word the most, the blessed Virgin Mary when she said yes! So your answer contradicts your reason!
@@MrErpman: No. Our Lord Jesus was saying that we should try to be like Mary and follow her total obedience and acceptance of His will. "Let it be done unto me according to Thy will" "Do whatsoever He commands " No other person on earth obeyed God more than Mary did. That is why she is our role model.
Solomon had 800 wives who were also queens of Solomon. 1st Kings 2:19 she had a seat brought in for her, hardly a queen's throne. She asked for Adonijah to have Abishag to wife. Solomon mocks his mother then has Adonijah put to death. She isn't addressed as queen in the Tanakh 1st Kings chapter 2, but only as his mother. Mary was lower, only addressed as "women" throughout the 4 Gospels. How about Scott use the method of reading the text as it is written and in context.

Tiny question, in revelation we see Mary giving birth and crying out in birth pains, yet traditionally we believe that the birth was painless, like "light passing through a pane of glass". Is it contradictory to believe that Revelation is speaking of Mary and that she had a painless birth? Is the author using literary devices and it is for dramatic effect and not referring to the birth of Jesus or referring to the pain not because it was painful but for some other purpose? Any theologians in the comments would be greatly appreciated.
I am not a theologian, far from it, but I have heard an interpretation that goes: *The Catholic is the Mystical Body of Christ on Earth. * At the Presentation in the Temple, Our Lady was told by Simeon that a sword would pierce her heart. *Mary always knew that her Son would have to suffer and die. *She is known as Mother of Sorrows, Mater Dolorosa. *She suffered, as any mother would, seeing Our Lord crucified. *The Woman of Revelation, Mater Dolorosa, gives birth to the Church; the Mystical Body of Christ on Earth.
@@alhilford2345 Mary is nowhere in Revelation 12. The “woman” in Revelation is a metaphor for ISRAEL who brought forth the Messiah. There is no mention of a “Catholic church” in scripture and no apostle called himself a Catholic/Roman Catholic.
@@suzannemcmaken4648 I don't think so because all the other people in that scene are real people, not symbolic. Jesus being born is a person, St. Michael is a person and Satan is a person. There isn't a symbolism of Israel and the Blessed Mother fits better, when you look at her as the queen mother, the mother of Jesus and fleeing to the desert. I think your interpretation works but I think on the primary literary level it is Mary Mother of God in that scripture.
The problem as I see it in praying for the dead, assumes that time passes at a similar rate in Purgatory as it does on Earth. It may be that the time in Purgatory is equivalent to a flash on lightning here on Earth. Purgatory is outside of time and space, so there is no "time" as we know it. We know that Heaven and hell is eternal, but we don't know anything about Purgatory other than as Catholics we believe it exists.
Seven Roman Catholic blind spots: Rome says, “We will use the word “Father” as a formal and professional title for our clergy.” But Scripture says, “call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” (Mat_23:9 ). Rome says, “Our bishops cannot be the husband of a wife.” But Scripture says, “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife...” (1Timothy 3:2 ). Rome says, “There is nothing wrong with having statues and icons.” But Scripture says, “Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Yahweh your God.” ( Lev. 26:1). Rome says, "All our saints are dead." But Scripture says that EVERY member of the congregation must be a saint while they are still living. Romans 16:15, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Corinthians 6:2, Ephesians 2:19, Ephesians 4:12, Ephesians 5:3, Philippians 1:1, Philippians 4:22, etc. Rome says: You are encouraged to incorporate repetitive elements in prayer with "decades" of ten repetitions. But Scripture says, "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions..." Matthew 6:7 Rome says to honor Astarte (Easter) and Saturnalia (December 25th). These were already pagan holidays of Rome before Christianity got there. But Scripture says, “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-26). In other words, when He said, “this do ye as often as ye drink it” He was referring to the cup of Passover wine and the unleavened bread of the Passover meal that He was having with His disciples. Rome says, “You need to submit to our authority if you want to go to heaven.” But scripture says, “... If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.” (John 14:23). The Father and Son want to abide in you. Your body is supposed to be the temple of the Holy Spirit and not a church building or a church altar (1 Corinthians 6:19). There is absolutely no room for any religious organization to insert itself into this equation. They have no right to make this kind of spiritual power grab.
That is if you read the Bible with no sense of history and TRADITIONS COMING FROM THE JEWISH PEOPLE WHO GOD CREATED AS HIS OWN people. You are coming from the American culture which says the Bible alone.
One Protestant blind spot… You are certainly welcome to believe and profess whatever you want to believe, there are plenty of differing beliefs in the world today. But to glean this from the historically decidedly Catholic Trinitarian book is just plain silly… History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time, growing in numbers of hundreds of “inspired” NT writings. Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself? Peace!!!
. At 1:29 the bible alone is not enough to understand it ? So we bring in what? Someones imagination and make claims that Mary was assumed into heaven when Mary the mother of Jesus ,in scripture is Never elevated by any writer including Jesus Christ her son! Yes bring in traditions as they are so helpful to convince people who choose to listen to the church without making sure what is taught is actually correct. The church teaches Mary can intercede for us but that is nowhere in scripture. The church teaches Mary's a mediator. That is nowhere in scripture. The church teaches Mary was immaculately conceived. That's nowhere in scripture. The church teaches Mary was assumed into heaven. That's nowhere in scripture. The church teaches that Mary is a dispenser of grace. That's nowhere in scripture. This is why the Roman Catholic church hates the Bible and sola scriptura. The Word of God is the enemy of the Roman church because it refutes the false teachings of the church. Heb 12:2 is who we are to focus on , so start questioning what you are taught.
Sola Scriptura is a myth..... Made up by protestants who only came on the scene 1500 years after Jesus ascended into heaven 😂.... So why would anyone in their right minds listen to people who came on the scene thousands of years after Jesus ascended into heaven ..... I would rather listen to the Catholics who walked and talked with Jesus.... Direct from the main source.... NOT SOMEONE WHO HAPPENED ALONG 1500 YEARS LATER.... FOR 1500 YEARS EVERY CHRISTIAN BELIEVED IN THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY..... UNTIL THE RABBLE ROUSERS PROTESTANT THOUGHT THEY TOO CLEVER AND BROUGHT THEIR OWN NARRATIVE.... MARTIN LUTHER..... WHY WOULD THEY GO AGAINST THE TRUTH?... IF YOU BELIEVE IN SOLA SCRIPTURA THEN YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW WHATS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE ABOUT THE WOMAN BEING CLOTHED WITH THE SUN.... OTHERWISE YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE...... PROTESTANTS HAVE A PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW CHURCH HISTORY..... BEFORE THE BIBLE THERE ONLY WAS ORAL TRADITION UNTIL PAUL AND MARK ETC STARTED WRITING GOSPELS AND EPISTLES.... THE BIBLE WAS ONLY PUT TOGETHER IN 382AD..... By the Catholics...... There were no protestants at the time the Bible was put together you guys came along 1200 years later.... and corrupted the Bible..... Martin Luther your god removed 7 books from the original Bible on his own authority..... Who died and made him God 😂 Not everything is in the Bible..... Otherwise the Bible would reach to the moon and back... EG.... THE BIBLE STATES : " AND JESUS PERFORMED MANY OTHER MIRACLES BUT THESE ARE RECORDED SO THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE".... So if you use Sola Scriptura then you only can say that Jesus performed only those miracles mentioned in the Bible otherwise you a hypocrite..... SOLA SCRIPTURA IS A MYTH PROTESTANTISM IS FROM SATAN PROTESTANTISM IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND TITHES....... ASK ANY EX PROTESTANT 😂.
Here Bruce... Some church history to educate yourself : For 1500 years after Jesus died and was resurrected there was only one church …..the Catholic church founded by Jesus Himself when He anointed the apostle Peter as the first pope " You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church" Then 1500 years after that along comes Luther ( after Satan had whispered in his ear) and split the church apart ….just as Satan had instructed . Luther Calvin and others started the rot . ( Now remember this was 1500 years after Christ founded His church …..there was no protestant church at the time Jesus walked the earth ….it was the Catholic church Catholic means universal . From the Greek word KATOLIKOS. Martin Luther, an EX CATHOLIC wanted to reform the Catholic church but took it too far. He began the great division in the church in the 16th century .He believed he was inspired by God and that no one could criticize his ideas. He was a narcissist...he said " In a 1000 years no bishop has been bestowed with such gifts as God has bestowed upon me". He said he is certain that he has received his dogmas from heaven …..he said " I am the prophet of the Germans ". But the fact is he followed the teachings of Henry of Ockham. He started translating the bible from Greek without having any knowledge of Greek .He translated the " man is justified by faith " into " man is justified by faith alone " he added the word " alone " by himself .When someone criticized him for that he replied " Doctor Martin Luther translates it that way and that's how I want it."....over 1400 errors were found in his translation .He excluded certain books from the bible by his own authority …..he said the epistle of James is nothing more than straw because it does not present any evangelical character. Regarding the book of revelation he said that he does not find anything apostolic or prophetic in this book. He commissioned rude paintings of the pope of that time and got it published ( is that the conduct of a holy man ….a man inspired by God ?). When he blessed people he would say " May the Lord fill you with his blessing and hatred for the pope. ( Is that a blessing ? Or a curse?) On marriage he said that marriage is mandatory ….that woman was not created to be a wife but to beget children they only serve for marriage or prostitution. He said he hates divorce so much that he prefers bigamy. He allowed prince Phillip to have 2 wives and justified it based on the bible and when people found out…. he lied and said that one was his concubine and not his wife. He loved the virgin Mary and said she was the tender mother of God ….in his dining room He had the crucifix and and an image of Mary holding the infant Jesus . He accepted baptism and the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. He later said that Lutheranism was no better than catholicism
@@chommie5350 Well that was a nice excuse for not looking to scripture for your answer. Luther is not someone to follow , ,Jesus IS . Ever noyice that the roman Catholic church points out all the negatives about Luther but shys away from discussion of all the corruption happening in the roman Catholic church when Luther was alive? You do not call a council to discuss flowers in front of the church. Trent was called to address two items 1. Corruption in the roman Catholic church 2. and what to do with the reformation group as it tore itself away from the corruption of the roman Catholic church. There is only one church and there is only one body of Christ and that is comprised of all born again believers in Christ . John 3:3 is not a suggestion. Salvation of your spirit is what is pointed to by faith without any works included Eph 2:1-22 All through the scriptures of the new testament we find that everything we do is by faith. Works that we do for God mean nothing unless we are doing those works in faith. Salvation is by faith , not faith and works ,not faith and mass attendance , not faith and baptism , it is by faith . So ignore what Luther said and read the bible for yourself . ignore what the pope says and read the bible for yourself. Heb 12:2 tells us who we are to focus on and it is not His mother or any person that teaches you anything, it is Christ alone not Christ and someone , just Christ. John 14:6 excludes anyone else as it is Jesus alone who redeems you. There is no position of cardinal or pope in the early church, these were added after 385 AD when the roman Catholic church started. Catholic being universal in context is correct but when you add roman to it , it becomes anther meaning. Salvation is only through Jesus and not through the church. The church is made up of all the believers in Christ ,it is not an organization that claims to have authority. Focus on your redeemer that is Christ, not on any church group that claims to be the one and only, when in reality they are not.
Looks like you didn't watch the whole video . He then goes on to give refrences and verses that back up his claims yet you do not do the same , my friend.
Absolutely right, all these ideas about Mary are mere imagination of the Catholic Church. No scriptural foundation for these doctrines. The argument is devoid of any evidence but mere speculation.
You are awesome with great points. Thank you so much. But you speak so fast that it is hard to follow sometimes. I know you may be a gifted ventriloquist, but, you could do better by speaking a bit slower. Great mind; great teacher! God bless you.
The Assumption was added to RCC theology by hitler's pope pius VII in 1950. It was not accepted by anyone for almost 2000 years after CHRIST. I love Mary. She is my Christian sister, fellow servant, and fellow saint as are all true believers in CHRIST. CHRIST stopped Mary veneration right at the first as follows: Luke 11:27 KJV "And it came to pass, as He (Jesus) spoke these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto HIM, Blessed is the womb that bare YOU, and the paps which YOU have sucked. 28 But HE said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the WORD of GOD, and keep it." Mary was a sinner. Keep this in mind: Romans 5:12 KJV "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all mankind, for that all have sinned" Romans 3:10 KJV "as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after GOD. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one." Matthew 19:16 KJV "And, behold, one came and said unto HIM (CHRIST), GOOD MASTER, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And HE said unto him, Why call me good? there is none good but one, that is, GOD..................."
Actually, you are wrong on all counts. To begin with, Pope Pius VII lived from 1742 to 1823. I don't think he ever met Hitler. It was Pope Pius XII who pronounced the Dogma of the Assumption. Do you know what a dogma is? It is the AFFIRMATION of a truth revealed by God, and which has been believed since the beginning of the Church. Dogmas are declared to combat heresies, and the heresy denying the Assumption had growing since the sixteenth century. The Dogma sets things straight!! Your other arguments regarding Mary and the Bible are very popular with Protestants, the same old, dreary complaints come up over and over again, and we always explain. The Holy Bible is a Catholic book, and Catholics pray the Bible every day. "Hitler's Pope"? Yes. The book. All lies. Did you read it?
@@georgepierson4920 You ignore the WORD of GOD which the RCC claims is one of their authorities just so you can protect your sinner made traditions and sinner pope declarations. It's obvious your sins are retained.
Gabriel greeted Mary Hail full of grace. She was sinless by the foreseen sacrifice of her Son Jesus. She is a mere mortal given a special gift from God. Eve received the same gift but was seduced into sin. Mary never was seduced by the tempters lies.
I don't necessarily agree that Mary is the Ark of the Covenant because Jesus is. However, I do believe Mary is the instrument of the Covenant, who is Jesus.
Primarily because Mary gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. But she can't be divine, only Jesus, in the Triune God with the Father and the Spirit. She is the most blessed of all women and with the Apostles and the 144,000, the most blessed of all the Saints in Heaven.

To say that the womb that carried God Himself was used by another sounds like an insult to God . It is important to realise that whenever one speaks about Mary , her sinlessness, queenship , titles, or roles , all of them point to Jesus in a most exquisite way. Therefore, whenever we say good about Mary , we say good about Christ Himself . whenever we talk bad about Mary , we talk bad about Christ Himself .
In the notes of my NABRE the note for Rev12:1 identifies the woman who gives birth as “symbolizing God’s people in the Old and the New Testament.” Israel gives birth to the Messiah. Your teaching promotes a differing understanding. Since the NABRE has both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur. I am confused. What is the official teaching of the Church regarding the image of Rev 12:1-2?
THE BIBLE ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THE ASSUMPTION. 2 TIM 3:16-17 SAYS JUST EH OPPOSITE. IUNDERSTOOD YOU TO SAY THAT THIS WAS BIBLICAL PROOF??? ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED OUT BY GOD AND PROFITABLE FOR TEACHING, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, AND FOR TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE COMPLETE, EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK.

Gabriel greeted her with the words Hail full of grace. Therefore she was free of every stain of sin. But this is the gift to her from the God who already knew that Jesus would redeem the world.
Jesus Christ explained who His brother or mother are; those who follows God the Father's Holy Will. God is the God of unity not division. So, protestants, 40k+denominations, are sects against God's Will, inspired by devil and therefore NOT our brothers!

If you actually believe the scriptures as being without error and being the word of God then you might consider ,that in 73 books of the bible that you claim to believe, that no one prays to anyone other than God. No one prays to anyone other than God. In those 73 books is the example of who we are to got to so your asking Mary to do something for you is not scriptural at all.

it's actually sufficiently revealed in the Bible.

Hail Mary!!!✝️🙏👼⚘️🕊⛪️❤️
Talking about the church , talking about Jesus
- For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5
- Deuteronomy says dont talk to the dead and it was also one of the reasons Saul died.
- As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it. Luke 11:27-28
- No where in the Bible are we instructed to venerate dead people and ask them to pray for us
- Just because it's been practiced a long time doesn’t make it correct.
- The RCC has tried to mend the veil and become the conduit to salvation.
And your answer is right in your rebuttal:
Blessed are those who hear the word and obey it : Lk11: 27-28
Who obey the word the most, the blessed Virgin Mary when she said yes!
So your answer contradicts your reason!
@@rsm5351 Wrong. The lady tried to exalt Mary and Jesus basically said she was no more blessed than others who hear the word of God and obey it.
@@rsm5351
Mary had no choice.
And, you have no idea if simple minded Mary obey the word the most.

No.
Our Lord Jesus was saying that we should try to be like Mary and follow her total obedience and acceptance of His will.
"Let it be done unto me according to Thy will"

@@alhilford2345 No. That's not what he said.

I am not a theologian, far from it, but I have heard an interpretation that goes:
*The Catholic is the Mystical Body of Christ on Earth.
@@alhilford2345
Mary is nowhere in Revelation 12.
That's because it really isnt speaking about Mary
The problem as I see it in praying for the dead, assumes that time passes at a similar rate in Purgatory as it does on Earth. It may be that the time in Purgatory is equivalent to a flash on lightning here on Earth. Purgatory is outside of time and space, so there is no "time" as we know it. We know that Heaven and hell is eternal, but we don't know anything about Purgatory other than as Catholics we believe it exists.
Outstanding... super clear. Thanks.
Wow.
Seven Roman Catholic blind spots:
Rome says, “We will use the word “Father” as a formal and professional title for our clergy.”
But Scripture says, “call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” (Mat_23:9 ).
Rome says, “Our bishops cannot be the husband of a wife.”
But Scripture says, “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife...” (1Timothy 3:2 ).
Rome says, “There is nothing wrong with having statues and icons.”
But Scripture says, “Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Yahweh your God.” ( Lev. 26:1).
Rome says, "All our saints are dead."
But Scripture says that EVERY member of the congregation must be a saint while they are still living.
But Scripture says, "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions..." Matthew 6:7
Rome says to honor Astarte (Easter) and Saturnalia (December 25th).
Rome says, “You need to submit to our authority if you want to go to heaven.”
But scripture says, “...
One Protestant blind spot…
You are certainly welcome to believe and profess whatever you want to believe, there are plenty of differing beliefs in the world today. But to glean this from the historically decidedly Catholic Trinitarian book is just plain silly…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time, growing in numbers of hundreds of “inspired” NT writings.
Who died and made him God 😂
Not everything is in the Bible..... SOLA SCRIPTURA IS A MYTH
PROTESTANTISM IS FROM SATAN
PROTESTANTISM IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND TITHES....... ASK ANY EX PROTESTANT 😂.
Here Bruce... Some church history to educate yourself :
For 1500 years after Jesus died and was resurrected there was only one church …..the Catholic
church founded by Jesus Himself when He anointed the apostle Peter as the first pope
" You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church"
Then 1500 years after that along comes Luther ( after Satan had whispered in his ear) and split
the church apart ….just as Satan had instructed .
Luther Calvin and others started the rot . ( Now remember this was 1500 years after Christ
founded His church …..there was no protestant church at the time Jesus walked the earth ….it
was the Catholic church
Catholic means universal .
From the Greek word KATOLIKOS.
Martin Luther, an EX CATHOLIC wanted to reform the Catholic church but took it too far. He
began the great division in the church in the 16th century .He believed he was inspired by God
and that no one could criticize his ideas. He was a narcissist...he said " In a 1000 years no
bishop has been bestowed with such gifts as God has bestowed upon me". He said he is certain
that he has received his dogmas from heaven …..he said " I am the prophet of the Germans ".
But the fact is he followed the teachings of Henry of Ockham.
He started translating the bible from Greek without having any knowledge of Greek .He
translated the " man is justified by faith " into " man is justified by faith alone " he added the word
" alone " by himself .When someone criticized him for that he replied " Doctor Martin Luther
translates it that way and that's how I want it."....over 1400 errors were found in his translation
.He excluded certain books from the bible by his own authority …..he said the epistle of James
is nothing more than straw because it does not present any evangelical character. Regarding
the book of revelation he said that he does not find anything apostolic or prophetic in this book.
He commissioned rude paintings of the pope of that time and got it published
( is that the conduct of a holy man ….a man inspired by God ?).
When he blessed people he would say "
May the Lord fill you with his blessing and hatred for the pope.
( Is that a blessing ? Or a curse?)
On marriage he said that marriage is mandatory ….that woman was not created to be a wife
but to beget children they only serve for marriage or prostitution.
He said he hates divorce so much that he prefers bigamy. He allowed prince Phillip to have 2
wives and justified it based on the bible and when people found out…. he lied and said that one
was his concubine and not his wife.
He loved the virgin Mary and said she was the tender mother of God ….in his dining room
He had the crucifix and and an image of Mary holding the infant Jesus .
He accepted baptism and the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. He later said that
Lutheranism was no better than catholicism

Yup.
I change the playback speed on many videos .
Some I slow down and some I speed up .
It's a handy feature .

CATHOLIC =Calling ALL To Holy Obedient Life In Christ .
28 But HE said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the WORD of GOD, and keep it."
Mary was a sinner. Keep this in mind: Romans 5:12 KJV "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all mankind, for that all have sinned"
Romans 3:10 KJV "as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after GOD. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one."
Matthew 19:16 KJV "And, behold, one came and said unto HIM (CHRIST), GOOD MASTER, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And HE said unto him, Why call me good? there is none good but one, that is, GOD..................."
You have no idea how wrong you are.
@@larryluch8178 How many gods do you worship and pray too?
Enoch, Elijah and Moses were taken up to Heaven
Why not the Mother of Christ, Theotokos?

I don't necessarily agree that Mary is the Ark of the Covenant because Jesus is. However, I do believe Mary is the instrument of the Covenant, who is Jesus.
Primarily because Mary gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. But she can't be divine, only Jesus, in the Triune God with the Father and the Spirit. She is the most blessed of all women and with the Apostles and the 144,000, the most blessed of all the Saints in Heaven.
Mary was a sinner just like me. She had other children.
Peace!!!
A sinner just like you?
Really just like any of us?
She's a sinless perpetual Virgin.
The guy denies 2nd Tim. 3:16, 17 as inadequate.
The Church does not have an official teaching that states a given passage has only one meaning.
The notes in your NABRE are the personal interpretation of the person writing them..
Isaiah - no pangs
Revelation - pangs
Are you sure they're talking about the same birth?
The Old testament.
The word complete can also mean prepared
Quit using caps, completely obnoxious!
Profitable = useful.
What a tantrum.
He had the crucifix and and image of Mary holding the infant Jesus .
He accepted baptism and the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. He later said that
Lutheranism was no better than catholicism
8-20-24 The body of Jesus passed out of her (Mary)...so Mary is not a virgin at this point as the hymen is broken.
I see the scribes and the pharisees are out en masse in the comments huh
A sinfull human is the Ark? Well, yall are free to believe as you like. I support freedom of religion.
Mary wasn’t sinful, she was immaculate without sin
Gabriel greeted her with the words Hail full of grace. Therefore she was free of every stain of sin. But this is the gift to her from the God who already knew that Jesus would redeem the world.
@@Mkvine Did this Mary have a heart painted on her chest that she pointed to and light rays coming out of it?
@@peterzinya1 You gotta come up with better arguments. Scripture says she was full of grace.
Is there biblical proof that the apostles went to heaven?
Why do we need biblical proof.
The catholic church is not sola scriptura.
If we are certain our dogmas are divinely revealed, that is enough
Jesus Christ explained who His brother or mother are; those who follows God the Father's Holy Will. God is the God of unity not division. So, protestants, 40k+denominations, are sects against God's Will, inspired by devil and therefore NOT our brothers!
What does God say about those who hate their brothers?
🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
You guys got nerves for sustaining this teaching.
"born from a woman" is all Paul said in galations about mary !
