      Thought I’d give an update…
      I do KNOW now that Mary is legit!
      It only makes sense. It’s also part of the prophecy.
      There may not be much mention of here in the New Testament but the Old Testament eludes quite a bit to the facts.
      I might also say there is a lot the New Testament doesn’t say about Jesus

      @@orangemanbadthe true gospel of Christ in the catholic church? That is like an oxymoron. That gospel is like the Apostle Paul talks about in Galatians. He calls it "another gospel". He said anyone who preaches any other gospel that what he had preached, they are anathema. The "true gospel" you are talking about is not in scripture at all. Their is no such thing as a pope, or Peter as the rock. No such thing as a Catholic church in Matthew 16. No such thing as a Mary that saved, that is sinless, that was immaculately conceived, that was assumed into heaven etc, etc. The true gospel says nothing about transubstantiation. I mean Christ had not yet been crucified and he is present in the wafer? I missed that part in John 6. But if you'd like you can show me where those teachings are in scripture. I'd like to read about them.

      @@0Vissa0I don't like the word vessel there. It makes it sound like a surrogate mother.
      She did much more than that, she clothed, breastfed, took care of and raised our Lord. A surrogate doesn't risk her life on becoming a fugitive by escaping the King's orders through an exile to Egypt.
      But there's more. After Jesus' entrance into adulthood, she accompanied Him throught the rest of His life, until and including the Lord's unjust execution... while none but one of the Lord's thousands of disciples were present. No one, except the Blessed Virgin and John.
      This is more than a 'vessel'. This is a woman that took upon great tribulations, including watching the Son she raised die humiliatingly, in order to bring God's Will.

      @michaellemmen hi sorry if I confused you. But she is one of many reasons I am proud to be Catholic. But God,Jesus is the main reason, of course. I recognize that without her, none of it would be possible. Her Yes was instrumental, and I love that we celebrate that in so many ways. She was the vessel the new Ark of the covenant made to us by Jesus. She has always been a presence in my life as well. My mother went to St. Mary’s school and church in her hometown. I was baptized and made my first Communion at St. Mary's in St. Catharines Ontario and I now teach catechism at St. Mary’s in my new town of Moosomin. I also hold a special place for her mother St. Ann as my patron saint, which is my middle name. I always put God first and follow Mary’s example of always saying yes to God whenever he calls through everything in my life.

Notice Jesus *didn't* say that Abraham, Jacob and Isaac *will* be alive at the day of the resurrection and he also didn't say that God *will* be the God of the living, instead he said they are alive right now, as God is the God of the living, which only makes sense if the saints were alive in the body of Christ. As for Acts 2, no one is denying the dead aren't physically dead, no Christian has or ever will believe people are fully awake in their graves. That is a misrepresentation of the point I was making. MARY is our MOTHER and QUEEN of the NEW DAVIDIC KINGDOM ( GOD is not a solitude but a FAMILY)
      John 19:26 - Jesus makes Mary the Mother of us all as He dies on the Cross by saying "behold your mother." Jesus did not say "John, behold your mother" because he gave Mary to all of us, his beloved disciples. All the words that Jesus spoke on Cross had a divine purpose. Jesus was not just telling John to take care of his mother.
      Rev. 12:17 - this verse proves the meaning of John 19:26. The "woman's" (Mary's) offspring are those who follow Jesus. She is our Mother and we are her offspring in Jesus Christ. The master plan of God's covenant love for us is family. But we cannot be a complete family with the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Christ without the Motherhood of Mary.
      John 2:3 - this is a very significant verse in Scripture. As our mother, Mary tells all of us to do whatever Jesus tells us. Further, Mary's intercession at the marriage feast in Cana triggers Jesus' ministry and a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic celebration of the Lamb. This celebration unites all believers into one family through the marriage of divinity and humanity.
      John 2:7 - Jesus allows His mother to intercede for the people on His behalf, and responds to His mother's request by ordering the servants to fill the jars with water.
      Psalm 45:9 - the psalmist teaches that the Queen stands at the right hand of God. The role of the Queen is important in God's kingdom. Mary the Queen of heaven is at the right hand of the Son of God.
      1 Kings 2:17, 20 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom, the King does not refuse his mother. Jesus is the new Davidic King, and He does not refuse the requests of his mother Mary, the Queen.
      1 Kings 2:18 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom, the Queen intercedes on behalf of the King's followers. She is the Queen Mother (or "Gebirah"). Mary is our eternal Gebirah.
      1 Kings 2:19 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom the King bows down to his mother and she sits at his right hand. We, as children of the New Covenant, should imitate our King and pay the same homage to Mary our Mother. By honoring Mary, we honor our King, Jesus Christ.
      1 Kings 15:13 - the Queen Mother is a powerful position in Israel's royal monarchy. Here the Queen is removed from office. But now, the Davidic kingdom is perfected by Jesus, and our Mother Mary is forever at His right hand.
      2 Chron. 22:10 - here Queen Mother Athalia destroys the royal family of Judah after she sees her son, King Ahaziah, dead. The Queen mother plays a significant role in the kingdom.
      Neh. 2:6 - the Queen Mother sits beside the King. She is the primary intercessor before the King.

    As always beautifully explained by Dr Scott Hann. Indeed Mary is the perhaps the biggest stumbling block for most protestants and I have a few of them as close friends even when you try to point out the typology, they will accept the types that relate to Jesus but reject the ones relating to Mary. I believe only the Holy Spirit can lead someone's eyes to be opened to the truth. Let's continue praying for our protestant brethren that the Holy Spirit will lead them to fullness of the faith in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic church

      You are so wrong but I'm sure mean well.
      It is very clear in the bible that Mary was a human Jewish girl that accepted God's plan to bear the Christ, saviour of the world she brought him up so he could fulfil his purpose at His death it ends there. She married and lived a normal life, and had to receive Jesus as her Lord and saviour too. She was a sinner that need saving like anyone else. Jesus was the only sinless sacrifice no where does it say Jesus and Mary.
      I think Mary would not be impressed knowing she is worshipped on earth. She was a handmaiden of God, in Matthew 1 it says Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary and "Joseph. son of David , do not be afraid to take Mary your wife for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. God performed a miracle in Mary it was all God as Mary was human not divine.
      But I know you guys so heavily indoctrinated and you need divine revelation to open your eyes to truth of mary false doctrine.
      I also found in the book of Acts she waits with others to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. If she was divine she would not need to do this. After that you don't hear of Mary in the New Testament.

      I think you (catholic church) have missed the purpose of Jesus being the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Jesus is the saviour.
      God does not need help from "Mary"!
      The gospels show clearly that we pray to Jesus, we have access to the throne of Grace we are made righteous through Christ, ( read Romans 8 v 26-27- nothing about Mary) You don't need a priest to confess either, your righteousness in Christ ( if you are a born again christian ie made Jesus your Lord and saviour) means you can go to the Father yourself, as his child and confess sins pray etc.
      The catholic religion has been made up of centuries of false doctrine, many centuries ago the bible was not available to the ordinary christian and people had to rely on the priests or ministers of the day, so lots of untruth were created.
      Mary is very clearly a human who God used to bring Christ into the world, she went on and got married and would have lived an ordinary life of the 1st century, God had to use someone for Jesus to be born.
      What has happened in catholic church, Mary has replaced Christ, it is lie that you go to Christ through mary.
      You need a New King James Bible and start reading through the NT asking the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. The book of Acts is how the church started and you can see how far "religion" has taken people away from good doctrine.
      When Jesus said to Peter I will build my church what He was saying I will build my church on the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, he is the chief corner stone. It has been misinterpreted that the church was to built on Peter, why would a spiritual church be built on a human being? Peter was given a revelation by God that Jesus was the Son of God and Christ is the head of the church are we are his body, nothing to do with Peter.
      So there is lots of false doctrine the catholic church is based on and is not biblical.

      @Sterling Crowne no, you totally missed the point of what jesus says there by over emphasizing the message comes after that passage. The mother and the brother of jesus (spiritually) are those who do the will of the God. Unfortunately, Mary, who is His literal mother is INDEED a person who does the will of God! Obey the will of God (be unto me according to Thy will). Then the question is, by this criteria that u proposed as denial to the role of Mary, isnt Mary indeed also the mother of Him (literally and spiritually?) 😁😁
      And why would jesus "denied" Mary at that time? For me, I would totally agree and would do the exact same thing as jesus did if i were in Jesus position. It shows his true morality that he had been teaching to many people to be not a "corrupt" person in public service as he did at the time was a public service. As a contrast to that nepotism of Jews official. If you are a public official in public service, as an integrity person you would do the same that jesus did if your mom came to your office. People might ask u to let your mom be served firstly. But i guess you would deny. Does that mean u deny the importantt role she has over you in your entire life? I guess not.

      @Sterling Crowne im burst out laughing haha. Here is why your logic fails immediately.
      1. You said (just like u quoted it from John 2:5) that instead walk away, Mary TURNED to the servants just right away after Jesus states His time was not coming.
      2. After stating that, miraculously you also stated that Mary was stubborn and committed the sin of pride which absolutely contradicting your first statement and the fact that is served in the bible. NEVER it is said in the bible that Mary INSISTED Jesus to do it. NEVER. What surprisingly Mary did was TURNED to the servants and told em to be READY. Not even one persuasive action she implied after asking Jesus a favor. She simply says, WHATEVER HE SAYS to you, do it. Jesus could said at the time, NO, I DONT WANNA DO THAT. BUT what Jesus says was quite contrary to your own assumption and accusation. He FULFILLED the WISH of His Mother! Mary's response to servants "whatever he says" beautifully depicts the total submission of Her to Jesus's will. It is not a coincident actually. Just like she said to the angel, "be it done to me according to thy will."
      3. Well, you gotta find another argument to establish the SIN OF PROUD you have accused to Mary then haha.
      Unfortunately, seems like you are the one who has sinned proud. You should have seen it, the beautiful message. Instead of mocking Mary by this passage, turns out it shows the true nature of her. Imagine! Your Lord and Messiah, HAD ALREADY GOT PLAN OF His service! BUT HE WILLINGLY "CHANGE" IT for the favor of His Mother! Of course by this i dont say that God isnt omniscient, He is! The fact is God had included this particular moment to show us how Mary's role in the presence of her own Son! You have incredibly picked the right passage to show this. No pride not even sin. It is even humiliating to say Mary had sin over this since the God himself fulfilled what you called as "sin". God bless you, read again your bible Kate. Hehehe.

      @Sterling Crowne interestingly, in Act 8:33, word tapeinosis also used and adressed to Jesus! Would you go by the same criteria, the same logic, the same accusation just like u use it to Mary? Apparently you wouldnt. And to add this, calvin the reformator really liked to use this word to describe the nature of Jesus. Wow, surprise!!
      So, where does this sinless Mary come from. First of all, you have to understand the typology of Mary as the New Eve, the New Ark Covenant. But unfortunately, it will be hard to explain since you read bible by prooftexting it, let alone learn in theology way. Thats why, poor taught lay catholic convert to protestantism while advanced and knowing thelogians protestants cross the river to Rome. But, Wedding at Cana is a good start if you want to comprehend your knowloedge the get enlightened.

      Jesus wasn't denying that His Mother was blessed or putting her down since She bore Him and nursed Him and She most certainly would have been blessed because of Him dwelling within Her and by the very fact that She did nurse Him, but in His humility, Jesus chose to emphasize that those who hear the word of God and keep it are blessed and Mary certainly would have. *Luke.11:* 27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
      *Matt.12:* 48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
      50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
      *Jeremiah 7:* 2Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
      3Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
      4Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these...
      18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
      19Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

      9The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

      *Deuteronomy 32:* 18 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you;
      you forgot the God who gave you birth.
      19 The Lord saw this and rejected them
      because he was angered by his sons and daughters.
      20 “I will hide my face from them,” he said,
      “and see what their end will be;
      for they are a perverse generation,
      children who are unfaithful.
      21 They made me jealous by what is no god
      and angered me with their worthless idols.
      I will make them envious by those who are not a people;
      I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.
      22 For a fire will be kindled by my wrath,
      one that burns down to the realm of the dead below.
      It will devour the earth and its harvests
      and set afire the foundations of the mountains.
      23 “I will heap calamities on them
      and spend my arrows against them.
      24 I will send wasting famine against them,
      consuming pestilence and deadly plague;
      I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts,
      the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
      25 In the street the sword will make them childless;
      in their homes terror will reign.
      The young men and young women will perish,
      the infants and those with gray hair.
      26 I said I would scatter them
      and erase their name from human memory,
      27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy,
      lest the adversary misunderstand
      and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed;
      the Lord has not done all this.’”
      28 They are a nation without sense,
      there is no discernment in them.
      29 If only they were wise and would understand this
      and discern what their end will be!
      30 How could one man chase a thousand,
      or two put ten thousand to flight,
      unless their Rock had sold them,
      unless the Lord had given them up?
      31 For their rock is not like our Rock,
      as even our enemies concede.
      32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom
      and from the fields of Gomorrah.
      Their grapes are filled with poison,
      and their clusters with bitterness.
      33 Their wine is the venom of serpents,
      the deadly poison of cobras.
      34 “Have I not kept this in reserve
      and sealed it in my vaults?
      35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay.
      In due time their foot will slip;
      their day of disaster is near
      and their doom rushes upon them.”
      36 The Lord will vindicate his people
      and relent concerning his servants
      when he sees their strength is gone
      and no one is left, slave or free.
      37 He will say: “Now where are their gods,
      the rock they took refuge in,
      38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices
      and drank the wine of their drink offerings?
      Let them rise up to help you!

      @@theosteven3362 when a woman is pregnant there's always baby's blood, Baby's DNA in her blood stream. This is the basis of some pregnancy problems like rhesus disease of the unborn child. There are also test done on maternal blood to determine the baby's blood group among other things. This happens in every pregnancy. Now Jesus's blood would most certainly have passed to Mary's circulation as well. We know Jesus's blood is precious, atones for sins etc. Mary now becomes a vessel for his blood. Hense the term Vessel of Honour in the litany. She would be sin free because she carries his blood. His blood is the new covenant therefore she is the Ark of the covernant. There's more evidence she will have carried at least his DNA permanently. Therefore she couldn't have been corrupted in the grave. Like Jesus she must have risen from the dead not on her own power but his. Hope this makes more sense.
