- Friends, on this Sixth Sunday of Easter, the Church gives us a kind of foretaste of Pentecost. In all three readings, we hear descriptions of the work of the Holy Spirit-the animating principle of the Mystical Body. What are the signs that the Holy Spirit is at work? Let’s look at five of them.

Why do I remain, as long as I have lived, forever the skeptic. I am 87 years old, still struggling for lucidity with respect to my Catholicism? I am scared. Am I paranoid? I listen to theologians talk about God, the Father, Son, our Lord, Jesus, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I have difficulty connecting, and I receive the Holy Eucharist regularly. Can someone give me an answer?

Bishop Barron had made many Catholics like me to be proud of our religion and truly had defined that GOD is Love. He had enlightened us to be good so as to be God like that is to be loving and kind.

(Now God has returned to the earth to do His work, He first stopped the strong bastion of atheism. God gained a group of people through His wisdom. He spoke His voice and spread the gospel. No one can get into Almighty God. In China, a country that considers God as an enemy, God never stops from His work. Instead more people accept His works and words, because God saves every member of humanity as long as possible. I encourage the people of all countries, and even all industries to listen to the voice of God, observe the work of God and pay attention to the destiny of mankind. God's work advances like a rushing waves. No one can stop Him, and no one can stop His footsteps.)

Fulfillment of "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, sorrows, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His clothes were stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13).
The kingdom He brought down and set up in the highest in the sky so that it can occupy His creation in the universe and engrave on it the entirety of His Holy name "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐 fulfillment of (Mat. 16:18) "And I say as for you, you are Peter, on top of this rock I will build my Church, that even the power of death will not be able to overcome it.". ... and "The Letter to the Church in Philadelphia" (Rev. 3:7-13). ... And the fulfillment of "The New Jerusalem" 💫 (Rev. 21:10) "The Spirit enveloped me, and the angel led me to the top of a very high mountain. Speaking of rides, I received this at the end of extended Eucharist Adoration in St. Josephs Church in Beeville, TX. In that dark moment just before sunrise on 3/27/2019, I 'heard', "Ride it out with love, joy and peace." After a pause, He added, 'I got the com." [He is in charge]
Now all of humanity is on that rollercoaster ride.
Come Lord Jesus!
Joy is the principal sign of the Holy Spirit.
I also like ...and am happy to learn that the Holy Spirit dispels all dark sides of our lives. Dwell in me o Holy Spirit.
Love is the most important mark of the Holy Spirit.

i met a young woman once, at work, who was always (eternally i now think) joyful - nothing changed this in her demeanor, ever. she radiated this joy to all around her, and could (and did) turn sour discussions into soft, meaningful, cooperative and loving interchanges. this young woman, and my mama, are two in my 72 year life who are/were the sign of the holy spirit to me; and bring joy to my heart each time i hear them in my head and heart. they are love of other, exemplified.
When I hear stories like this I realize that it is not realistic for a person to be joyful all the time. She kept a smile on at work and opened her heart to others completely and totally away from work.

Yes you can be at peace but it won’t always be a constant state this side of eternity.
@@brendamyc3173 It depends on whether she had the Lord in her heart. He fosters eternal joy so it would be no surprise for her to exude perpetual delight. Of course, she would sometimes have experienced misfortune but in walking with the Lord she would have had the light of life. - 1 Peter 5:7
@@brendamyc3173 peace does not mean the absence of trouble, confusion, or suffering. It means security in Christ, knowing him in whom we have believed, as St. Paul put it. As unflattering as it may be, I compare it to being like fish that stay down deep when storms churn the surface of the sea. They know where it's safe. More poetically, the hymn "How Can I Keep from Singing" says it better.
Always amazed at how radical and traditional these sermons are. Keep calling us higher!!

I don't believe in these apparitions.
Recently I had a kind of renewal of the Spirit and listening to this I realize that all of these things are now present in me, except I have not seen "signs and wonders" per se. Perhaps they are happening and I'm not seeing them...yet. But all the other signs are there. I realized the other day as I was traveling on a train to visit my sister in Indiana that I was falling in love with everyone on the train. I don't mean this in a romantic way. I would just watch them and I would see something so beautiful about them and it would just move my heart so much. I have felt that the Holy Spirit has been working in and through me a lot lately and this beautiful sermon by Bishop Barron has confirmed that for me. I love his sermons. Thank you, Your Grace Bishop Barron.

This old English lady (born in 1934) was brought up in a protstant household where she was taught never to speak of religion politics and money in “polite society” I think this is the reason our British bishops have not succeeded in effecting Ecumenism in the right way…..too fearful of “offending” people! I became a Catholic in 1958 and am an OCDS for 45 years now.

THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "is a great last day or age that He will save man"
(The "incarnation" is the manifestation of God in the human body; God works among created humanity in the image of the human body. His life and work in the human body can be divided into two stages. First is the life He leads before His ministry is fulfilled. In other words, in this first stage He lives in a godless and completely normal personality, engaging in all normal human activities. The second stage is the life which He lives after He begins to fulfill His ministry. He still lives in an ordinary being with a normal human body, showing no outward sign of being super-ordinary. But He lives a pure life just for sake of His ministry. One can say that He is a man and also a God, because God becomes a God who lives in a human body, has a human body and a human spirit but also has the spirit of God. Because God became man, His essence is a combination of humanity and divinity. This combination is called God Himself, God Himself on Earth)
Almighty God said
The "incarnation" is the APPEARANCE of GOD in the FLESH; GOD WORKS in the MIDST of CREATED mankind in the IMAGE OF HUMANITY. So for GOD to BE MANKIND, He first HAS to HAVE HUMAN BODY, HUMAN BODY with NORMAL HUMANITY; this is the primary REQUIREMENT. In fact, the implication of God's incarnation is that GOD LIVES and WORKS in the FLESH, that GOD in His essence in flesh, became a man. 🙏
His LIFE and WORK in the FLESH can be DIVIDED into TWO PHASES. First is the LIFE He LIVES before PERFORMING His MINISTRY. He LIVES with an ORDINARY HUMAN FAMILY, in TOTALLY NORMAL BEING, FOLLOWING NORMAL MORALITIES and LAWS of HUMAN LIFE, with NORMAL NEEDS OF NORMAL HUMANS (food, clothing, sleep, shelter ), NORMAL HUMAN WEAKNESSES, and NORMAL HUMAN FEELINGS. In other words, in THIS FIRST STAGE HE LIVES AS AN UNGOD AND TOTALLY NORMAL PERSON, ENGAGING IN ALL NORMAL HUMAN ACTIVITIES.
The SECOND PHASE is the LIFE HE LIVES AFTER HE STARTS TO PERFORM HIS MINISTRY.
He still DWELLS in ORDINARY HUMANITY with a NORMAL HUMAN BODY, SHOWING NO EXTERNAL SIGNS of being more--than--ordinary. But He LIVES PURELY just for the sake of His MINISTRY, and at this time His normal personality fully exists to support the NORMAL WORK of His DIVINITY, because at that time His NORMAL PERSONALITY has matured UNTIL THE POINT THAT HE CAN FULFILL HIS MINISTRY.
So, the SECOND PHASE of His LIFE was to FULFILL His MINISTRY in His NORMAL BEING, when it was a life of both normal being and full divinity.
In the FIRST STAGE of His LIFE, so He LIVES in a COMPLETELY ORDINARY HUMANITY because His HUMANITY is NOT yet able to MAINTAIN the TOTALITY of the DIVINE WORK, NOT yet mature; AFTER HIS PERSONALITY GROWN UP, ONLY THEN HE HAD THE ABILITY TO SHOULDER HIS MINISTRY, HE WAS ABLE TO START PLAYING THE MINISTRY HE HAD TO DO. ☀️
Because He needed, as a human body, to GROW and GROW UP, the FIRST PHASE of His LIFE was that of NORMAL PERSONALITY--while in the SECOND PHASE, because His PERSONALITY was capable of DOING His WORK and PERFORMING His MINISTRY, the LIFE OF GOD INCARNATED DURING HIS MINISTRY was both HUMAN and FULL DIVINITY. ☀️
If, from the moment of His BIRTH, GOD INCARNATE HAD ZEALOUSLY STARTED HIS MINISTRY, performing extraordinary signs and wonders, He would not have had a physical spirit. Therefore, His humanity exists for the sake of His physical essence; there cannot be a human body without a person, and a person without a person is not a person. In this way, the BEING of GOD'S FLESH is a REAL OWNERSHIP of GOD'S INCARNATED FLESH. 🙏
To say "when God became a man He was completely holy, and not really a man," is blasphemy, because there really is NO such statement, and it VIOLATES the PRINCIPLE of INCARNATION. ☀️
Even after He started performing His MINISTRY, He still LIVES in His DIVINITY with a HUMAN BODY when He DOES His WORK; therefore, at that time, His HUMANITY was only for the purpose of allowing His DIVINITY TO PERFORM THE WORK in NORMAL HUMAN BODY.
So what REPRESENTS the WORK is the DIVINITY that dwells in His HUMANITY. It is His DIVINITY, NOT His HUMANITY, that DOES, but this DIVINITY HIDDEN WITHIN His HUMANITY; actually, His WORK IS DONE by His FULL DIVINITY, NOT by His HUMANITY. But the DOER of the WORK is His FLESH. ☀️
A MAN CAN SAY HE IS ONE MAN and ONE GOD, because GOD BECOMES ONE GOD WHO LIVES IN HUMAN BODY, has a HUMAN BODY and a HUMAN SPIRIT but also has a GOD'S SPIRIT. 🙏
Because He is ONE MAN with the SPIRIT of GOD, He is SUPERIOR to ALL CREATED PEOPLE, SUPERIOR to ANYONE WHO CAN DO GOD'S WORK.
Therefore, among all who have a human body like His, among all who possess humanity, He alone is GOD HIMSELF INCARNATE----all others are created people. Although they all have humanity, humans have nothing but humanity, whereas God incarnate is different: In His flesh He not only has humanity but, more importantly, He HAS DIVINITY . His HUMANITY CAN BE SEEN IN THE EXTERNAL FORM OF HIS BODY and in HIS DAILY LIFE, but HIS DIVINITY IS DIFFICULT TO PERCEIVE. ☀️
Because His DIVINITY can only be revealed when He has HUMANITY, and NOT MORE--than--usually AS PEOPLE THINK, it is very difficult for people to SEE it. Even today, people struggle to grasp the true spirit of God incarnate. Even AFTER I TALK AT SO LONG about it, I EXPECT that it is still a MYSTERY to most of you. In FACT, this issue is VERY SIMPLE: Because GOD BECAME HUMAN, His SPIRIT is a COMBINATION of HUMANITY and DIVINITY. This COMBINATION is CALLED GOD HIMSELF, GOD HIMSELF on EARTH.

I prayed the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit for about 3 weeks n woke up one Pentecostal Sunday 9am speaking in tongues that was about 15 years ago 🕊 and became even more charismatic 🥰 come Holy Spirit n fill the hearts of the faithful n they shall be renewed ❤️🕊💙

What a beautiful sermon as always. Thank you Bishop Barron. I definitely have felt the Holy Spirit most strongly when I came back to my faith after several years. I’ve felt all of those signs. From feeling unexplained joy to really learning my faith, to really changing my view of the definition of love. I am so blessed and I thank the Lord for this beautiful gift that He gave us.
Talking about the Holy Spirit. I was baptized in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church and did all my other sacraments in the Catholic Church. I actually learned that recently as I was born in Venezuela (all we say there is the Catholic Church, regardless of rites) and because I was baptized as an infant. Now I live in San Diego and one day, I was driving on the 805 and I saw the top of a church and I felt God saying: go to that church. I didn’t go right away. As a matter of fact, I went just this week and that first revelation happened a few months ago. When I went, I felt right at home. It almost felt like the Holy Spirit saying: this is where you belong. I know still is the same catholic faith but expressed differently. I told my wife that I’d love to go to a Devine Liturgy but she is against it. I do feel the Holy Spirit pulling me in switching rites. Please brothers and sisters in Christ, pray for me so the Lord can help me discern this call. 🙏
Keep listening to the Holy Spirit moving in your life and you will know what you are being asked to do. And pray for God's revelation to your wife as well. God bless you both.

In answer to your question: What first got their attention was the selfless act of Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Love, that we will never be abandoned. The Holy Spirit resides in us. Great episode.

I have so much Love for God. One day, I’m in my prayer room kneeling down ,my head was down too. I asked God “ do you love me?” And put my head up and my eyes locked in to the crucifix and it felt like God said “ I died for you “ I cried out loud. That answer is always powerful.

I said a few novenas to the Holy Spirit, the last novena I said, I went out to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and looked out in the back yard, and the ground was covered with all kinds of doves, I don't know exactly if it was suppose to mean anything because nothing happened otherwise, but I felt totally in awe.

(Now God has returned to the earth to do His work, He first stopped the strong bastion of atheism. God gained a group of people through His wisdom. He spoke His voice and spread the gospel. No one can get into Almighty God. In China, a country that considers God as an enemy, God never stops from His work. Instead more people accept His works and words, because God saves every member of humanity as long as possible. I encourage the people of all countries, and even all industries to listen to the voice of God, observe the work of God and pay attention to the destiny of mankind. God's work advances like a rushing waves. No one can stop Him, and no one can stop His footsteps.)

So often joy is missing from the Catholic church. If we want to bring people back to the church, especially young people, we need to demonstrate joy and make them feel welcome. We can not stand at the door judging others, for it keeps them from wanting to enter or re-enter. We need to open our arms as Jesus does for us everyday, and welcome everyone!
With true conversion the joy comes from the Lord not induced by human effort. There fore your contention is not correct.

Wow, so powerful! I needed this today. Helps me sincerely appreciate all the joy in my life. The other day my son and I were walking into home depot, an elderly woman on a scooter was struggling to get into the store because a garden hose got stuck on her wheel. I went over to move the hose and she said thank you with the kindest most sincere smile. I said no problem, hope you have a gray day. A few minutes later my son asked me daddy why did you help her? I said son, even the simplest of gestures can make a world of difference to someone. I asked him, doesn’t it make you feel good knowing you had a positive impact on someone else? He said it sure does. May God bless you all!
