It's fun to see new people discover Angelina, the voice of the century.
You will never be able to wrap your mind around the capabilities of this young girl. She's beyond words. Spectacular!
Out of the 160 or so songs she's done, this one I think is my absolute favorite.
I shut my eyes and think I'm listening to Dinah Washington's
famous rendition. That's what our 'vocal chameleon' has been doing
since she was 7 and sang Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday'.
What's my favorite Angelina performance? It's always the next one I listen too even if it's one I've seen a hundred times!
This easily brings tears to my eyes even after numerous views..
She is so adorable and on top of that you can hear a true prodigy..🤯🤯🤗🇧🇻
She's never in a hurry. Dinah Washington would be so proud.
Just a suggestion: don’t cut off the video before the end because you get to see Angelina, the 8 year old, rather than Angelina, the singer. It puts things in perspective.

Boggles the mind doesn't it? Always so amazing in these earlier performances how after she finishes singing, she reverts back to the shy little girl.
Angelinas maine signature song is "Fly Me To The Moon" since she was 8. She does that song at most of her conserts, and did put it on her 2018 album "It`s Magic". She even performed it at the O2 Arena in London in 2018, as she was invited by Quincy Jones` 85 birthday celebration consert.
He, by the way, even stated her to be the biggest talent he had seen since Michael Jackson. 12 year old Angelina did an rather impressive job, followed by a full orcestra doing Quincy`s classic arrangement.
How many 8-year old singers have adult back up singers :)
She arranges all of her music, she understands the whole show like a seasoned professional, while School comes first! If your thinking "Reincarnation" your not alone.
Reincarnation? Are you kidding me? It would make no sense, since there is NOONE EVER from the past (or present) there is as talented as she is.
@@FlemmingEsp Are you serious? I meant it as how the overwhelming consensus of everyone feels due to her incredible vocal abilities! People say it often because they don't understand who she sings at this level. You should try and understand better what you read, because it was rather obvious my point. She works harder then most while tending school! It's all her and her abilities!

There is a fan-made mash-up of this performance with Dinah Washington singing the 1959 version which she won a Grammy for Best R & B. The video goes back & forth between the 2 & if you close your eyes, it's difficult to tell which one is singing. That says it all!

Hi Jon. when you were 8 did you have a couple of accomplished background singers who were delighted to perform with you? Me either. Besides the change in her vocals to match the song, I find this situation so incredible as to defy reality.

Hi Jon .. I really enjoy your reactions. Angelina is a very special young woman. It's not just her spectacular voice and style but even more importantly whats behind it ... the love and beautiful quality of her heart and spirit. The love that emanates from her when she sings touches the core of one's being. Folks of all genders, ages, races and nationalities respond to her because knowingly or unknowingly their heart feels the incredible beauty and authenticity that comes through her. One suggestion I would make is that you allow the video to run a little longer after she finishes singing as Angelina often tops it off with a beautiful smile or a 'bye' after the song ends that truly is endearing. I just subscribed to your channel. Wishing you the best in all things.

Don’t know if anyone filled you in yet on the bare foot performances? When she was even younger, she lived in the Middle-East and met a girl selling things in the street without shoes. So she gave her shoes and has since performed without shoes to raise awareness for poor children. Repeatedly she has performed for good causes.

Jon, sir, a Norwegian told me, and others confirmed itl, shortly after this, the people, the government and the royal family of Norway declared Angelina Jordan Astar, the "National Treasure of Norway".
This video is a favorite of many, many Angelina 'Angels' all over the world. Words are not necessary for anyone to explain what they felt like as she sang this so beautifully. And, what I just said did not make any reference to the fact she was only 8 years old!
