Angelina was walking with her family somewhere in the middle east when she came across a young girl about her age when she was six years old. The girl was weighing people (Angelina calls it weighting) to make money. They talked for a while and the girl said she wanted to be a doctor, but she could not because she had siblings. Angelina told the girl she wanted to be a superstar and the young girl said she would pray for Angelina. The girl was shoeless, and Angelina noticed she had scars on her feet. Angelina took off her shoes and gave them girl. Angelina vowed to perform shoeless until all the world's children have shoes, to remember the girl and to remind her of the less fortunate in society. Angelina has helped raise millions of dollars for children's charities and environmental causes.

I can see you have jumped into the Angelina rabbit hole with both feet. And what a journey it will be. The reason she sings barefoot is a great story. When she was around 6 she encountered an orphaned homeless girl around her same age who was barefoot and cold. Angelina gave the girl her shoes. The girl said she would always pray for Angelina. Since that day, Angelina vowed to always sing barefoot in public until all the unfortunate children are able to have shoes. She even wrote a book about the experience. Hi Jon. Yes as a drummer I know what you mean about clapping. 40 % on the snare beat, 40% on the bass beat, the rest totally random. However I would prefer that than seeing them motionless just sitting doing nothing!

Hi Jon. What I like most about this video (besides her vocals and having a choir of adults singing behind her) is that she seems to really enjoy herself. Which brings me to my next point. When asked if she gets nervous at her on stage performances she responded with the following:
“When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to go [leave the stage]. [laughing]. I just want to be on stage"

Any way you cut it; this is a 12-year-old's description of an alternate state of consciousness and in my opinion, the early stages of enlightenment. From the beginning of her public performances, she was described as being an "old soul" and one who has lived "many lifetimes". Her humbleness and altruistic nature support this idea too. At the very least, Angelina is proof that we are not born as a blank slate.

She's known as the Barefoot Princess. When she was 6 she met a child who had no shoes (not in Norway!), so she gave her her own shoes. She now always sings barefoot until all the world's children have shoes, she says.
Currently, her two best songs are 'Easy On Me' (Adel cover) and 'I'm Still Holding Out For You'. You do a very good reviews of her songs. I'm 82 and have followed her since her performance on AGT.
I think it's safe to say she has cast her spell on you! Really enjoying your reactions. Angelina has stated in several interviews that she never feels nervous on stage, only excited to be doing what she loves. Singing, to her, is as important as breathing.
When Angelina performs outdoors, with a band or in concerts, she is increasingly lively and bubbly. In this song in particular, with an almost gospel version, she is incredibly lively and very engaging also at the age of 11, just watch the reaction of the quiet Norwegian spectators, 😉 while her body language communicates the pleasure in the performance of this 1962 song by Etta James, another of the singers loved by Angelina. During all the years that she has participated in "Singing At The Border" in Halden, always with those wonderful flowers in her hair, Angelina has always performed fantastic performances.💛 🧡 ❤️
a tip for your green screen (or keying) to get sharper edges. Put a light behind the chair pointing at the wall behind you. It could be attached to the chair, or on the floor pointing up. Just make sure the chair hides it. You don't want to see the light. You want to brighten the part of the background behind you and the chair, so it gets removed with cleaner edges.

A number of covers are really reinventions of the original such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Billy Jean and Yellow Brick Road. With other covers she remains closer to the original though she always adds her unique voice, little riffs and other changes and her ability to tell stories.
Recent covers include Easy on me, When you believe, Mercy and Yesterday. But you can also pick an artist or a style go with that. Many choices to be made and much fun to be had ahead!

She can connect with the original version of the song and still make it her own. By making it her own with the emotion that only she can add she has me in the most beautiful way I have ever experienced in each, and every, performance.

Wow, Jon, you are on fire with your Angelina reactions today. Love it! You absolutely must react to Angelina singing "Every Time We Say Goodbye" based on the 1956 classic by Ella Fitzgerald from her album "Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Cole Porter Songbook." Angelina's performance was recorded on the roof of the TV 2 studios in Oslo for the talk show "God Sommer Norge" (Good Summer Norway). She was accompanied by Tommy Kristiansen, a great guitarist she had used for many of her performances. The audio and video quality are amazing and the purity of Angelina's voice is simply astounding! A Norwegian reactor to Angelina (his name is Didymalgia) said that, even though Norway puts out some great singers (Angelina Jordan, Aurora, etc.), they are notoriously bad at keeping a beat!
