She was 7 here, and yes, that was her mother crying because she realised she now had to share her daughter with the world. But she didn't lose a daughter - she gained a vast extended family! Bjarte's question (the last judge to speak) was to find out if she understood what she was singing about. Her answer told him (and us) that she didn't, not really, but she sounded as if she did - which is all that matters in the end.
You have opened a door that’s impossible to close. Angelina is an addiction, but she’s a wonderful addiction. She sings across many genres, and she will melt you in all of them. I’ve followed music all my life, starting in the 1950’s. Angelina is the best singer I’ve ever heard. No one is close. Her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is the best live performance I’ve ever seen. Her covers of Adele will now be your favorite versions. Her jazz and old school blues songs are my favorites, but pick any genre at any age. That’s how good she is. Just start listening.

Just imagine what would have happened in her first public performance if she was booed or told she didn't have any chance of continuing in this venue instead of being applauded and cheered on. She might have never set foot on stage again. What a loss that would have been for humanity. By the way, there is controversy as to whether she was 7 or 8 here. In any case she was only a few weeks away from her 8th birthday on January 10th 2014.
You should go further back in time. To her first studio performance from when she was 6 years old singing " I who have nothing". That performance was done in ONE TAKE !!! Please turn on subs so you can hear the conversation between the norwegian technician and her, after finishing the song. It is seriously hard to understand how, at the age of 6 years, that she can sing with such a musical understanding and convey those feelings and also in a foreign language. One poster keeps spamming anyone's posts saying she was 8, based on a photo on Facebook. So I went to the Norske Talenter Facebook page to find this "proof". It's a joke. Simply because they aired her first audition after her 8th birthday and posted her photo, is NOT proof she was 8 when it was aired. This audition was recorded in November 2013, at age 7, and aired later. I suggest you ignore his "cut and paste" mandate of false information. I don't even understand why they would do this. Angelina, her manager, family, republic records, Norway's Got Talent, Wikipedia, Time magazine and literally everyone is not lying when they say she was 7. Don't let this person suggest otherwise. It's enough.

@@erik-nm5cf Pictures on NGTs Facebook pages were released as the series aired on TV, and the comments are on aired episodes. The same thing happens with every show in this franchise in all countries. Recorded months in advance. She was 7.

@@kristena9285 exactly. The date of November 24th, 2013 (original audition in Trondheim) is when the audition of Gloomy Sunday was shot, complete with her missing tooth. By January when the audition was aired, and the final shows that were shot live, the tooth had grown back. The contestants are not allowed to disclose the results, just like Survivor etc. A few photos on a Facebook page posted after the audition airs proves nothing.

In 2019, Jordan performed for former president Barack Obama and other public figures at the Brilliant Minds conference in Stockholm.
In October 2019, she competed in the second season of America's Got Talent: The Champions, which was aired in January and February 2020.[22] Her first appearance on the show, singing an original arrangement of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", received a "golden buzzer" from judge Heidi Klum (meaning that Jordan would pass directly into the finals). As with her Norway's Got Talent audition six years earlier, a video of Jordan's performance began to go viral on RUclips, quickly reaching 10 million views. The performance also garnered praise from Queen's official Twitter account. Shortly afterwards, the video was taken down and Jordan released a studio version of the same arrangement under her own copyright.[25] Jordan's second performance (in the finals), a similarly reworked "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" based largely on a version by Sara Bareilles, was also well received, but she was not among the top 5 acts.
In August 2020, Jordan's manager (her uncle, Michael Astar) announced that she had signed with Republic Records.[3] Her first single on the label, "Million Miles", was released on 6 November 2020, on all major digital platforms. An official lyric video was posted to her official RUclips channel the same day. You really went all out and watched a number of her performances. That’s how many fans start and all of the sudden it is 3am and you need to wake up at 7am. If you watch her other performances, you can see the huge progress she makes during this contest. Not only has she immense innate talent, but she learns quickly and works hard. The only sure thing is to be surprised at every turn :-)

Jon, sir, AJ has an "unfair" advantage, her dad and his family is swedish, her mon is Norwegian from Iran, Mothers parents are iranian painter and poetress Mery Zamany and a japanese Gentleman, who taught her to help others less fortunate. She speaks fluently norse, swedish, English, iranian farsi, and perfect japanese. Her instruments are the keyboard, guitar, flute and violin. Grandma Mery taught her to design and sew clothes for her performances. Sir, you and yours, please stay safe and healthy, german greetings.

@@erik-nm5cf This always seems to be a bone of contention. She says she is seven, but whether 7 or 8, she is amazing. I have a date of November 24th, 2013 (original audition in Trondheim). But can't recall where I got that date (I saved the dates, but unfortunately not the source) An article in VG magazine (March 12, 2014) states:
"Angelina was 7 years old when the recordings of the audition were recorded, but turned 8 years old in January."
@@erik-nm5cf According to Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norske_Talenter#Series_6_(2014)), this first episode of Season 6 of "Norske Talenter" was BROADCAST on January 17, 2014. It was obviously filmed earlier; almost certainly at LEAST a week earlier (and probably WEEKS earlier). So it seems very likely that Angelina was 7 at the time of this performance, and turned 8 either several days or even a few weeks later. Furthermore, no one reporting on this show (and many news sources did) ever claimed she was anything but 7. Finally, let me add that Angelina (or any child) could never "forget" how old she is at 7 or 8, and is not likely to make the first words she utters on national television a calculated LIE. So there's considerable evidence to support her claim that she is 7 at the time of this performance, and not much to refute it.
@@bygeorge100Remember that Wikipedia is written by people like you and me, not always having 100% control of all the facts. Further on: I am not saying Angelina is lying, in the sense of deliberately wanting to mislead someone. There may be several possible explanations to why she says she is 7.
And just to make it very clear: This discussion is not about a matter of importance (at least not to me!). I am confident that we all look to her performances in the NGT as truly amazing whether she is 7 or 8. As Rusty Shackleford wrote in a comment to my comment to him: "As far as 7/8 in her audition. I am confident she was 7 ...or 8 :P I never needed to get to that level of accuracy with it, as she herself is not even that accurate with it ;) It's possible she said 7 even though it was 2-3 days from being accurate. In the end, it happened sometime within about a two month span around her birthday. But she could have been 12, and that Gloomy Sunday would have been just as imppresive to me ;)" And I can applaud that statement. But there is (perhaps an irritating) part of me wanting to have the information of facts as correct as possible.
That is why I started my search for the correct dates as there are so many commenting on her age. I wanted to find the truth, and the result surprised me as well as many others. The auditions for the NGT 2014 were held in three locations: Trondheim (Nov. 2013), outside Bergen (Dec 2013) and Oslo (Jan 25 - 27th 2014). As Angelina says she is 7, it has been generally assumed that she were performing on the audition in Trondheim. But in my search I found a news article by TV2 dated March 8th 2014 telling that Angelina Jordan (8) participated on the NGT audition in Oslo ( www.tv2.no/a/5378815/ ). I have also found an advertisement inviting members of a Sports Club free tickets to the auditions 25, 26 and 27th Jan 2014 ( nordstrand-if.no/fotball/gratisbilletter-til-norske-talenter-2014 ). I was at last convinced when I found a news article ( www.aftenbladet.no/kultur/i/dkGpO/viva-videre-i-norske-talenter ) about the choir VIVA written just after their audition was broadcast on March 7th, telling that they proceeded from the audition in Oslo, - and the video from their performance showing the judges in exact the same clothes and hair style as in the video of Angelina's performance, - and in the row behind the judges can be seen the same people in the audience attending both these performances ( ruclips.net/video/51qson1SO8I/видео.html ) - ( ruclips.net/video/rI6ZhRk86Hs/видео.html ). Angelina and VIVA must have performed the very same day!
Later I have found an entry on the NGT Facebook pages giving extra information and supporting the dates above.
1) Her competition number 7008. Somebody told me that the number 7 signified that she had signed on in Oslo. And that seem to me very reasonably. Though there were 3 auditions held in or close to the three largest cities in the country, there were several places where you could sign on to the competition. And to avoid confusion, each of these places had their own initial number. Then they were probably numbered successively as rthey signed on. Thus Angelina must have been the 8th person signing on in Oslo. (The highest number I have found is #7155)
2) The last day of signing on in Oslo was January 5th. Angelina was still 7 (and very likely had signed on long ago).
3) The precasts in Oslo were held a week later. I have found very little about this, but there are a collection of photos with comments from the 2014 session on the NGT facebook pages.
(I wanted to post the links, but YT then blocked the whole comment. You may find them by googling "norske talenter facebook" then search/søk (magnifying glass) "2014". Go down to an entry of "17. jan. 2014" and click on the picture of a man "hanging" horizontally with widely spread legs. There you will find all the pictures navigating by the < and >.)
A photo dated Jan 7th (7. januar 2014) shows the judges looking forward to the premiere sending "Friday next week" - (the 17th). Five or six comments to this photo are from people going to precast in Oslo in the following weekend (Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th.) Angelina must have performed on precast on her birthday or one of the two following days! I can imagine this completely filling her mind to the degree that she has in a way forgotten about just having turned 8? In her thoughts she must still have been 7!
4) I have not seen this collection of photos before, but they strenghten my conviction that Angelina performed on audition in Oslo and that this audition took place on Jan. 25th 2014. There is absolutely no room for doubt! (The "long video" of her GS-performance starts with: "The first day of the audition goes towards the end ..." - showing a yawning Angelina - omitting the 26th or 27th.) In this photo collection there is a split picture showing three participants from Oslo.
The picture is dated Jan 25th (25. januar 2014) and says: "This week-end we are in Nydalen (TV2's studios in Oslo) doing auditions! ... will be sent in March." Then there is a picture of the judges dated March 7th saying: "At 8 p.m. we are back with the first episode of the auditions in Oslo" . The following pictures are all dated March 7th (7. mars 2014) showing all the contestants from that sending ending with Angelina The next photo is dated March 8th (8. mars 2014) saying: "Did you miss the episode yesterday? New possibility at 5 p.m. on TV2!"
5) The rest may be known: Judges cut with Angelina (I'm a fool ...) recorded Feb 7th. sent March 28th; semi final (BB) recorded and sent directly so the viewers should be able to vote on April 11th, and the final (S) on May 23rd. All the other Fridays from the premiere Jan 17th till the Final (with 3 exceptions because of the Winter Olympics and Good Friday) there were sendings from the other auditions, other judges' cut and the 5 semi finals.
On Saturday March 24th she sang "Fly me to the moon" in a TVshow called "Seinkveld", probably recorded one or two days before as this was common procedure for these shows.
There is also a video showing a rehersal of "I'm a fool" mixed with a piano lesson with smallpox. Very likely recorded in the weeks between Jan 25th and Feb 7th. (In this video she seems to have a serious cold, perhaps achieved on a cold stage floor on the audition?)
This is my support for the claim that she was 8 at this performance. I hope you feel you have not wasted your time reading it. And again: This performance is legendary, and only the time schedule of the NGT made her 8 before she was put on stage. No doubt the performance would have been just as excellent had it been done a couple of weeks earlier when she still was 7.
@@bygeorge100 I agree. Her tooth was missing in the taped audition at age 7 on November 24th, 2013 (original audition in Trondheim. We are supposed to believe this was recorded Jan 15th and aired 2 days later. And they a couple weeks later her tooth has grown back by the final show? Why would anyone think Angelina, Time, Norway's Got Talent, Wikipedia etc are all wrong or misrepresenting

Jon I certainly can't blame you for going on a Angelina binge after first learning of her. I would love for you to consider a few facts and a few suggestions. Awhile back, Angelina's management team reached out to her fan clubs saying they believed reaction videos were hurting her RUclips analytics. Personally, I believe reaction videos are a great way to introduce her to new people, like yourself. Jon, there is not much argument that the more new reaction videos available on a given day, the less time there is to watch the original videos. You now are aware, with Angelina, we are blessed to have a such a talent in our lives and we should do all we can to show our support and love. I have watched 3 of your reactions today and will pass on any others you post today. Instead, I will go watch her original videos. I have learned in the nearly two years of being a angel, that reactors who spread out their reactions to a given artist get more likes and more subscriptions. Jon, you may do whatever you want in the future, but I believe doing right by the greatest vocalist of my 63 years, and any other aspiring artists, is far more important than self gain. My subscription to you hangs on what you do in the future.

I would think that most of the viewers have seen this video dozens to hundreds of times and it is thanks to those who take the time to react that it is brought forward again and again.... after all, as of today, there are over 16o songs from which to choose which can be daunting to those with limited time. Few reactors say much about the fans who subscribe and especially those who take the time to comment and for that - I thank you.

You mentioned her English knowledge at this young age. She started recording in Studio with 6y and she was reading and understand the English lyrics very well
And we must not forget that her father has had his office in New Mexico since 2007. Angelina probably spent large periods of her early childhood in the US.

Angelina was 7 in the fall when this performance happened. By the final performance of the 4 it was after her Jan 10th birthday and she had turned 8. You can she how much her front tooth had grown in. There really is no controversy over her age at the time of this recording.

There may be many reasonable explanations to why she says "7", and lying is not one of them. Still there is a controversy over her age on this audition, and I have done some research to sort out the correct information. There is no controversy on the first audition of when she performed this. None. Age 7.
Perhaps you're confusing her answer to the judges on AGT - The Champions when she is interviewed before performing Bohemian Rhapsody. Heidi asks her how old she was when she won Norway's got talent and she replies 7. Technically, she started the show at age 7 and had just turned 8 by the finals. So technically the long answer, which noone wants to hear on national television is "I was 7 when I started the show I won but by the final performance I was now 8. So technically I was 7-8 years old when I won Norway's talent" She was still just 13 then and I don't think for a second she meant to mislead anyone.

She performed this as if she created it in the 30's. You haven't done any of her music. I recommend "Million miles", "7th Heaven" and Baby Fuzz asked her to do "Holding out for you" for a start. I was emotionally struck by this little girl and I never get emotional watching performances! Her reach is vast and I think we're seeing the making of a Legend. Next Level Event.

For some unknown reason she replied that she won NGT when she was 7 years old. Not true. Perhaps the producers thought that the average AGT viewer would not be strong enough in mathematics to calculate her age... Who knows?

Everything I see on Google says March 7th 2014 but either way she was 8, I wonder why she said 7 on the show. Or it could have been taped earlier and aired on Jan 25th. I know AGT does that.

@@michelpittaway7718 The auditions were held in three places: Trondheim (Nov.2013), Os outside Bergen (Dec. 2013) and Oslo (Jan 25th - 27th 2014). Angelina performed in Oslo Jan 25th. The first auditions (Trondheim and then Os) were the first to be broadcast from Jan 17th. Angelina's performance was broadcast March 7th. I know this is a challenge to the conviction of many angels. That is why I have given all my sources for my claim in this comment section (as an answer to Jane Austin/George Johnson). Please consider looking at them before answering so that we both know what we are talking about.

And that I will never use in this connection. You say she was 7. I take that as your honest opinion, and I will never call you or other people saying the same for liars. Whether we will call it a lie or just a slip of the tongue of a child not yet used to her age, is another matter. The NGT is probably dominating her mind at that time, and the precasts of the NGT were held in the days around her birthday.

The fact that it first AIRED when she was now 8 doesn't make her age 8. By the final show she had in fact turned 8. I guess the technical answer is ... "When the show started I was 7 but by the last show when I won, I had turned 8 years old. No one wants such a long answer so I just say age 7, the age I was when I had to get voted to the next round" I looked up his "proof" on the norsker takenter Facebook page and and they posted her photo in March of 2014 which has no bearing to when the audition was recorded to air later.

@@indiecab9593 If you want to believe that, it's no big matter to me. The excellency of the performance stands firm anyway. But you can't expect a 7/8 yo girl with her mind full of music and excitement to always having control over her age so close to the changing of it. I prefer to trust videos, photos and written sources.

@@erik-nm5cf You're not quite right the broadcast on norwegian tv was as you said on 25th January however it was a recording that wasn't broadcast live but that doesn't matter at all her performance was out of this world and stay healthy everyone
