My mechanic who is a certified Ferrari specialist told me a few years back that unless I had money to literally set on fire and watch burn up, to stay away from these types of vehicles because they will bleed you dry......hard pass.
@@LordCommandor it's all about where you get it and what you plan on doing with it. Buying a $12,000 Bentley from Craigslist or a "buy here pay here" to use as a daily driver is a bad idea. Buying a new Bentley or even a used one from a dealer for the occasional weekend trip to the Hamptons is a different story.
Then again if you can afford to buy a Bentley from the dealership you probably aren't worried about service costs
@Jim jibroni ahh... makes sense
@@juanesteban8827Agreed. But for me it would still be a hard pass. I'm a Volvo fanatic so my upgrade once my 05 XC70 stops running is gonna be a V90. She's at 236k and climbing, running fantastic. Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.
I would love to try it out!
Dude I absolutely can't believe you put a self tapping screw into a Bentley and drilled through the leather. I would be so pissed if I bought this and didn't notice that before purchase.
Better than that gap imo
He's a great dude, but holy shit I physically recoiled and had to pause the video when he did that. Also the prying the brake light up with a metal screwdriver right against the paint was also a cringe moment.
Probably good to note when using online auctions.
This! Was there no way some rlly strong double sided adhesive would’ve fixed the gap? Made it look like a jeep
@@alexflosho replacing the broken plastic that it mounts under the dash and fitting it properly would be better in my opinion. I would rather lose $1,000 of profit than put my name on a bad repair. This is why used car dealers get a bad wrap even though I really like this guy.
Do another video with German. I liked it when you both went to the auction and found cars and tried to make the most on. This time each of you go with $10,000 and buy as many or as few cars as you can get with it. The goal would be to see who could double or even triple it. You have to get your cars ready for sale and German would have to do his. I know you have done this before but it was fun watching.
I agree! Loved that video! German is a cool dude, love seeing him on the channel!
Roman is the goat! Really adds value to these videos with his knowledge of the detailing business and he’s a great worker.
@@ryanmacneille7429 100% agree!
ya, this!
We miss German! Love that guy! Craig's 👌
Love how he didn't using masking tape to protect the pin striping from the eraser wheel when removing the initials. Amazing how forgetting to do something so simple and easy causes a huge problem. That uneven pin strip is what everyone will see every time they look at the car.
Wow, it starts EVERY time?
Incredible... It's like a real, normal car!
Yea no true but he was sayin that cause its a old Bentley. Bentleys have a reputation of breaking down very soon. Not only that, it has 118k miles. Thats a lot of miles. Yea sure most cars would be chill at 118k but its a 2005 Bentley Continental GT and its almost 17 years old.
@Jeff Lee did you just compare your mustang convertible to a bentley? lmfao
@jefflee1189this is just false, a bentley if maintained properly is just as reliable as a mustang. It could also be more reliable, the issue is that you would need alot of money to maintain and service a bentley properly which alot of people tend to overlook.
@jefflee1189 the older continental gt shares the same engine as a volkswagen phaeton and v12 toureg. And newer continental gt’s share parts and drivelines with other Audi’s and Volkswagens. All of those cars are known to push 200k miles easily but they are just expensive to maintain.
Bentleys arent driven as much because operating costs are extremely expensive. A simple oil change on a bentley probably costs more than what your mustang is worth. Also another reason why nobody is driving these around all the time is cause if you have bentley money you probably also have money for other nicer cars or your always on vacation/travel in another part of the world.
@jefflee1189 Lmfaoo every car that has an engine needs an oil change, doesnt mean its broken. But hey if you’d rather drive a beat up 200k mile mustang than a bentley then more power to you. Me personally, I’d rather be seen in a bentley🤷♂️
Why is the title „$400 Bentley“ when it cost you $29‘000? Pure clickbait.
Seriously the whole Ferrari series is getting old( One year has turned into...). I like seeing the quick flips but I get the whole Bentley thing. We have similar car addictions. I probably would have bought it too and fallen in love with it. Props on getting it sold but that whole screw driver prying on the paint thing...WTF were you thinking?. You got it sold though I just hope they knew about the screw you put in that panel. You had the whole winter to address. I could never do that especially to a Bentley.
Glad he got out of those cars with a whole skin. Now back to Ferrari quest.
sht up
Dude here talking like the video was made just for him and that anyone gives a shit about his opinion 😂😂😂
You right. I wonder why he didn’t respond
@@frankz5864 wow calm down
17:42 The "jet engine" sound you're referring to is your secondary air injection pump that is about to go out, that's exactly what they sound like as the bearings in the pump go bad.
Wow. Amazing! Appreciate it
That’s… probably not good lol
That's a big ouff hope he sells it before he has to fix it
@@FlyingWheels it should be pretty easy to put power to it at the connector, to verify that’s your sound. I had a similar issue a few years back on a C-Class, only sounded like that on a cold startup. It’ll probably run like that for years and never get any worse, but it’s pretty annoying 😂
@@FlyingWheels if it’s the same secondary injection pump as other VW/Audi group cars, it’s usually the rivets that hold the pump together that fail. Can be drilled out and replaced with machined screws. Could save you a ton of money lol
As much as I like this channel, it really is a constant reminders as to why I buy new vehicles.
Old cars are simply a labor of love. Gotta put a shit ton of elbow grease into em but the car comes to life when you do
Thanks for taking the lot hits (10-30% depending on actual sale price) for us!
I love people like you taking the depreciation hit to make great cars cheaper...not talking shit btw I just don't see the point of buying new
@@kelbale at any other time I would definitely agree with you but with certain cars in this weird market we're in its cheaper to buy new. That's if tge dealership is selling the new one at msrp. I've seen plenty of used trucks selling for more than a brand new one in the past year and a half.
i buy new but "old" just bought a 2017 mercedes c300 Amg pack w new turbo it looks brand new after i detailed it got it for 14k, it was a 60k car less than 5 years ago. got to love depreaction...
I am not going to say you don't know what you're doing because you know enough to run a business. But watching you use a screwdriver to remove that trim had me on tilt. FFS buy a nylon trim tool set for $8. It's not worth the potential risk using the wrong tools.
23:18 and this is why people HATE used car salesmen. Fix it right or don't "fix" it at all.
🤓
I used to know a Man that sold used cars named Craig, he didn't have a flying Wheels RUclips channel but Wheels flew off of his cars while driving down the road.... Lmao 😂 that man sold some pure lemons quite a few people on this town have wished the death on that man anytime his name comes up in a conversation I show people this RUclips channel called flying Wheels with a car salesman named Craig and they break out laughing hysterically it was in our local newspaper about how a single mother of four had spent all of her savings on a GMC envoy and one of the wheels flew off the car while driving down the road because it was such a rust bucket the lug nut studs were so rusted they just sheared off completely while going 40 miles an hour after that story broke people started coming forward about how he screwed them they practically could have hung that man in the middle of the town and people would have cheered, nice to finally see a car salesman named Craig that's a stand-up guy
LMAO

The squeegee on the paint was absolutely killing me. Unless you already fully washed the vehicle and removed all dirt from the surface of the paint you are pushing dirt particles deeper into the paint.
Good.
wow you are NOT too bright !! what a dufus try reading the owners manual when you buy / own a car ! I have a Ferrari and feel sorry for the car if you end up w/ one !
the alarm is because there is a small battery INSIDE the alarm module that works even if BOTH , BIG batteries are disconnected ! It's to help w/ theft prevention and to help you make silly you tube videos !
BTW the alarm only battery does wear out eventually and you will have to replace it or buy a new alarm module ! -Happened in my Saab cars ! they sell a repair kit but you have to cut open the alarm module box and un solder , solder in the new battery !

I had the same problem finding the right buyer for a 1983 Jaguar XJ6 VDP. Buyers would ask is their anything wrong with it ?? Huh... Its a 40 year Jag... It runs and drives and I am selling it for $2000 what do you think! High school kid ended up buying it. Called me two weeks later and I felt bad so I should him how to start it. Fired right up(stickey Air Flow Meter). Few months passed by and I got a $600 fine from the state for abandoned vehicle... Thankfully I reported sold and had proof!! Till this day I wish I would've just took it to the demolition derby and avoided the whole mess.
I think you got lucky with the Bentley in this market (good for you though), if the car chip shortage wasn't a thing I don't think the market would be driving all cars up the way they are. Enjoy it as long as you can, we are in for a few rough years in my opinion.
Armor shield would sure make my Infiniti fx50 look really good!
@@alexflosho ya I know right the fx50s are very rare I've had alot of people try to buy it off me but I love it so much I'd probably never get rid of it. Has 130k miles and haven't had a issue other than the starter going out

You should buy a car for 5K, 10K, 15k, and 20k. You could then show the difference in quality and repairs needed for cars at different price ranges all at the same time. I know you've basically done that through the series, but I think having them all at the same time, where you can create a concurrent comparison would be a good mini-series that would probably get some decent views!
Armor shield,,, tried it before and loved it in a while since I’ve used it
Seems like owning a used car dealerhip is a nightare!
Your videos are always getting better. I’ve been following you since the very beginning of Ferrari flip 👍I’ve worked up to a Scion FR-S as my daily by flipping cars. Thanks for all the help.
Armour shield- love the content Craig! I’ve flipped cars myself on and off over the years, it’s been great picking up some of your tips and tricks from your videos. Keep up the good work
My thoughts for the flip series, let’s see two months of just nothing but flips to see if you can make a push to reaching 100k in profits. I feel like all the liquid going to multiple solid cars now instead of the Bentley toy style car is possible. Also, Avalon King
I dont have the time. 3 other ventures are extremely time consuiming
That dash panel repair would piss me off. I sure hope you specifically detailed all of what you did to the buyer.
If you get another Bentley that you are trying to sell......contact me....my dream car

Armor shield. Love your videos! I started flipping a paperclip a year ago and that’s when I found your video. I am currently at $1,200 plus a $600 treadmill, some baby gates, some tables, projector screen, 1979 Honda Express 2, and a 70s Honda trail 90.
Armor Shield I have tried this product easy to use I gave my Mustang a pretty good shine it's been about six months still looking good
Then with Just a simple rinse and will it look like it’s been washed and waxed all over again???
Just curiously
If I just hose it down there still dirt on my car I use car soap and wipe it down and every few weeks I use some Meguiars Quik detailer it definitely held up better than a regular wax I'm sure there's a lot better products out there but for the price you can't beat it it's very easy to use
Armor shield. Great video, would love to see more but why’d you paint the mats blue?
That's the carpet color so the mats to match
It matches with the Screw.
Clickbait! The video is great. Lying isn’t. Your title says $400 Bentley. Then you admit you paid $29,000 for it.
I just watched your video. It was very informative. I just don't like the clickbait. Your video title states, "I tried selling my $400 Bentley" and in your video 0:09 you say that you paid $400 for it and will tell us how you paid that much for it later in the video. But that never happens and you actually show 29:06 that you paid $24,750
The water blade, while convenient, has the potential to drag something on your car that could scratch it. Paint correction - buffing to remove swirls and scratches - should be done before ceramic coating.
I have and use the blade but only on my older cars that I don’t care so much about. I do not use it on my new baby Mustang.

you stated, you made 12 percent. I would think you would have to make around 10 percent just to cover the cost of owning a shop. the only money you made was from this video. Not saying i don't like the videos,

Battery needs coding to car via scantool,as battery gets old n loses capacity alternator charges more for electrical system, if you just change batteries with no coding car will overcharge and kill new battery/batteries, hope that helps before car gets sick on you
I vote you let German use the money in it's entirety to finish out the series, and also let him take home the profit once the Ferrari is sold.
Love this series!! Can’t wait until you make it to the finish line , and have the Ferrari.
Dough is hating thays why...he know you paid 400$....or the getto screw holding the lower panel 🤣😳

I could never have sold the Bentley...I would have run it into the ground before giving it up...such a sexy car.
I believe some car alarms have their own backup battery so it can still alarm if someone disconnects the car battery. That is probably the reason why it is sounding even though you had both of the car batteries. The alarms back up battery is triggered when the car battery is disconnected. Once that happens the alarm is triggered.
Really love the channel I’ve been watching for a while, thanks to my in laws we started our dealership a year ago and it has been an incredible experience. But thank you for all the content it really is great and awesome to learn from you

Who on earth buys a used Bently-a single repair could cost more than the car is worth. This is why you see expensive cars in junkyards..with minor damage.
Excellent video. Happy Easter from our channel: Australian Parakeets Stars
So many cheesy shortcuts,
Love this series, been watching since the very first episode and its insane with how far you've came
Dude has mentioned this Bentley on every video he has done since the day he bought it… He sure is proud of a car that it’s motor is synonymous for grenading itself at 50k miles lol 😂
Prying on the 3rd brake light with a metal screwdriver, claybaring the vehicle and not polishing before ceramic coating?, Tire shineing the engine bay, and self taping screw in the dash? Definitely have a lot to learn smh
Armor Shield: Looks really easy to use. As always great content. Keep up the $400 flip series.
Yet another enjoyable video--I want a "German" tee 😁. Thank you for rebuilding our confidence in (some) used car dealerships. Keep us tuned in!!

What a hack move drilling a hole & using a general hardware screw! Looks like total $h1t!!
Dude, screwdriver to pry out the 3rd brake light? I cringed when I saw it. Plastic bone tool or any plastic trim tool will do the job.
Buy five to eight cars and fix and flip 5000 each. Leave the expensive car alone for awhile. Or unless you can get for under ten Grand
alarm has battery back up- there is a nicad battery in the alarm system to prevent the car being stolen and if car is left sitting it is still protected.
Armour shield ceramic coating sounds like a great idea nobody likes waxing the car every couple of weeks !
Nice work, keep the Astin for your private collection you can drive it 5 years and still make a profit....
Where does the 400 dollars come from. You paid £24k!!!!!!
Squeegee on a Bentley! No No No never. Guarantee one of the best ways to scratch the paint. Do it all you want on the glass but please not the paint!!
ARMOR SHIELD! Craig, I really enjoy watching the techniques you’ve developed to clean and prep the cars for retail sale. The outcomes are light years ahead of what we were doing in the business 35 years ago and in half the time. I did very well buying cars from a wholesaler (or on the street), cleaning and prepping them then retailing them. It paid for college and grad school and a great life style. I took a huge cut in my net income when I started my way up the corporate ladder. It took several years with a BS and MBA to net what I was making as a high school drop-out college student buying and selling cars in my driveway. Craig’s not exaggerating what you can do in the business even on a small scale. I was very lucky to have a mentor in the business. It’s a very difficult business to learn on your own and it’s very hard to find someone to mentor you. Graig’s two online courses are worth their weight in gold! Avoiding one mistake could pay for the course and you couldn’t find a better mentor. Look at the joy and excitement he gets from buying and selling cars (or boats and maybe houses?). He loves to go to work everyday and I can tell you from experience that there’s nothing more miserable and depressing then going to work each day at a job you hate. It ages you quickly. Craig will be 39 forever doing what he’s doing and I think he developed the courses out of a love of the business just as much as to make money. These days we’re all on our own. There’s no more gold watches at the end of a long career in corporate America. To survive and have a decent quality of life one has to be an entrepreneur and work for themselves.
Peace, Rick

Armor Shield shows us how far we have come from rubbing a cars finish with an old fashioned hard wax - and then rubbing it off.
I would have looked hard for other solutions rather than using a self tapping screw in the surface of the leather. Do you keep a roll of butyl caulk around for adhering “gapped” things together?
Having watched this I am so glad to be the owner of a Tesla S.

30:18 you can tell Craig is a smart businessman because he understands returns from various asset classes can’t be compared apples to apples.
