Best guest I've seen with Coller. A Vikings fan I can relate to who's also colorful and funny. Jayden Daniels was more impressive than Maye last season and would be fun to watch run.
Won't be fun when he gets carted off the field. He's going to play in the mens league now where he's not 2-4 yrs older than everyone else.

Why your team sucks is the best thing Magary does. It's getting a bit long in the tooth after all these years, but he always saves the most venom for the Vikings, which I always appreciate as a Vikings fan

Maye or McCarthy? I've decided that for the first time in a long time, I'm not going to form a strong attitude for one particular prospect. I'm just going to try to remember that KOC knows more about football than I ever will, and I'm going to trust him to pick the guy who is best for his system. Whoever they end up with, I'll assume that's who they wanted, and I'm going to hope for the best.

Team pro F Bombs. If someone is naturally not a curser that's ok for sure but trying to sanitize yourself or others just feels silly and forced. There's worse things in the world than bad words lol. Of course people can g9 overboard and time and place but sports pods is totally not a no no place imo.
Drew mentioned that Kurt Warner and JT were the best QB evaluators. If you check out Warner's 2 episodes on Maye he points out the red flags especially not hitting the "lay-up" throws that Maye sometimes misses.
So the Vikes trade up to #3, who will Minnesota pick if Washington takes DM at #2?
This is the question no one is asking or answering. My question is if Washington picks DM at 2, who will Minn draft at 3? Will it be JJ over JD or vice versa?

I'd guess we'd take Daniels, but with him there we could trade the pick for a kings ransom.

61 years old, seen all 4 Super Bowl losses. We need to do something we've never done before. Make a big trade up to at least 3. Get Maye and we are set up for the next 15 plus years!

Totally agree. Getting Drake Maye is worth the expensive price. If Maye pays off and becomes a To 10 NFL QB NOBODY is gonna question the Draft move to get Maye.
I think this trade makes perfect sense! I actually also thought about it when I heard of NE’s interest in Harrison. We know the cost to move from 11 to 3 will cost at least three # 1’s. Cost to get to 4 is more in line with two # 1’s. We need to go all-in to get a franchise QB. I hear all this complaining that it costs to much, but let’s get beyond being mediocre! I’m 55 and we need to do this before I die! I wanted to keep Cousins… his value was undervalued, but that is now history. We need a franchise QB and this is the year to do it!
Maybe I’m crazy, but I’d be comfortable with the Vikings trading two future firsts to get up to 2 or 3. By the time we know if whatever QB we take is good or not, we’ll have a first round pick again. And we’re set up to have a ton of cap space the next couple years to keep the team built up with a rookie QB contract.

Philadelphia nearly won with a QB drafted 53rd.
The Rams used a former Lion to beat a #1 overall franchise QB.
Tampa Bay beat a 10th pick franchise QB with New England's 199th pick.
Great show! I am torn between JJ and Maye. However, I am leaning Maye, because I don't think UNC had the best Offensive and he still seemed to look great. I know Mich didn't need to use JJ as most teams would have, however why is that?!?! It's Maye for me!!
Lets get one of the top three qb's in ghe draft. If it takes another first lets do it. Let it ride. No risk no reward.
Might have to add a compensatory 3rd pick but I'm not sure that will be enough. Its possible that Washington or New England don't want to trade picks with us because they can trade with the Giants and still select one of the top four QB prospects in the draft. Anything could happen but we need the 4th or 5th pick to prevent that from happening if we can't convince Washington or New England to trade with us. We're not even sure the Cardinals or Chargers will be willing to move down to number #11 if they know the Giants want a QB too.

I see McCarthy as a bust. Michigan was a running machine not passing. Harbaugh called all the plays so where's the leadership in McCarthy? It was run first pass second for Michigan.
@@jamierask8527that doesn't mean he's not good. 73% completion, 71% when on the run, 65% under pressure compared to Maye at 43%, first half of games against top 25 teams McCarthy threw the ball 49% of the time Maye under 20%. McCarthy tops in the country on 3rd downs, big time throw, and clutch throws. And he sat of 7 forth quarters so of coarse he's numbers are gonna be a little less but they ain't much lower then mayes. Maye maybe has a little more arm talent but its not by a lot. McCarthy is way more athletic and probably gonna run a 4.4-4.5 at his pro day. And the kid is a leader and a winner. He can play within the system which is what he was asked to do in a pro style offense and he didn't make mistakes. He's gonna be the best QB when all is said and done from this class. And p.s. I don't even like Michigan
Post-Kirk is liberating. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL when on script. It’s because he studies so much and it works to a point. Trouble is you have to go off script in the playoffs and not just once but many times multiple games in a row. Kirk gets into his own head and when the play breaks down he panics and throws short on 4th down. Such a tease.

I like JJ's pocket presence and throwing on the run. JJ has a higher rating when pressured.
Maybe I missed it, but Im not hearing enough about Pennix top rated escapability.
Keenum had some of that "IT" factor and fit with this team.
Kirk and everyone else is missing that moxy the team could believe in. Just think of the cap savings with case and we continue to build out that roster with a better Oline...
You must have forgotten all those dropped picks or plays were the defenders just didn’t turn their head around in time to get a pick Keenum got away with a lot of those throws 2017
@@bigda6407 very true, but you can say that about many throws by QBs across the league.
Daute Culpeper was great but he fumbled all the time, Kirk is great but can't move off his spots and struggles to make off platform throws.
My major point is that it's a team sport and having only a few high players is not enough to win a Superbowl. You have to draft well and not pay any single player like 20% of the cap... Jefferson is great but headed down the too much for a single player
@@kirkreul1334 you can say that about a lot of QBs but Keenum had that happen multiple times every game and he wasn’t asked to carry a team and throw a lot like other QBs he got away with those plays as a game manager that’s concerning

Bears are now stuck with Caleb Williams. Did you see his pro day passing? No way do Bears fans forgive them if they pass up that kind of arm and athlete. Caleb is Russell Wilson in his prime, but with a much better arm. Only question here is, will the Bears ruin him, too?
It has to be Maye , Penix , Nix . With Kevin’s offense you’re gonna have to put it up 30 to 40 times a game. Mac is coming from a run 1st approach. That’s never been Kevin
I watched Chris Simms’ breakdown of Drake Maye again who has him as his #6 QB and it’s very concerning. Yes, all the QBs can be picked apart but he’s got major issues that need to be resolved. It’s a lot more than just footwork. Could be a major bust that costs you 3 1st rounders to move up to pick 3. Not sure about JJ either. What if Caleb and Jayden are the only ones worth a Top 10 pick? I could be talked into waiting to pick at 11 and just take best available QB there or at 23.

As we get closer to the draft Maye will be the clear second or third pick along with Daniels. This happens every year. The media pushes someone based on one or two things. Maye has been throwing downfield strikes for two years. Hopefully the Vikings don't get fleeced by the McCarthy hype.

What would be better 1. giving up three first round picks and drafting Drake Maye or 2. giving up two first round picks drafting J.J. McCarthy and drafting a quality player in the first round in 2025 the player has the potential to be a hall of fame player or he could be a bust or anything in between.

A move can be ballsy, but flat out stupid as well. That's what I think trading up in this draft will be.

JJ has better footwork than Mayes. JJ plants and throws and Maye hops around under pressure. JJ also throws better out of the pocket than any of the top 4. I would trade up to 4 or 5 and be happy to get either JJ or Maye with a preference of JJ.
Let charger give us Herbert for picks 11,23 future first. Then they use 5 for McCarthy 11 to get undise
I don't think Maye is worth anything more than pick 11. He's not convincing me that he's worth 3 first round picks.

With all the free agent signings, one positive element in free agency is being overlooked, and that is the fact that Minnesota legalized cannabis. It's the go to pain killer for players. I live in Washington state, and when we voted to legalize and then ratified a month later, I went to my local Vikings bar and declared that Percy Harvin would either be a Seahawk or a Bronco the next year, and my prophecy was fulfilled when he was traded to the Seahawks before the next season. It's the unspoken factor in free agency, in my opinion

Jefferson #2 Commanders will not trade.. they NEED QB #3 Pats NEED QB but would cost overboard (3) firsts (2) seconds and change throw in Brian O'Neill, #4 AZ will NOT trade they will take their WR. #5 Harbaugh will demand the (I was almost a Viking HC) tax plus above average... (3) firsts a second and change(tax) Conclusion, Maybe the Vikings get JJ McCarthy @5 Maybe.. finally, when the fans want you to lose.. F'ing lose so you get your pick!! NOTHING of 2023 season was GOOD for Vikings. TOTAL failure for KOC, Kwesi and Wilfs. They failed.
