You never know, no one does, when it comes to NFL QB prospects. For every Peyton Manning there are a few Ryan Leafs. I felt pretty good about Andrew Luck, I think everyone did. But, obviously, everyone passed on Tom Brady 6+ times. Even NE can't get credit for knowing how good he was gonna be or they would have drafted him in the first. Kurt Warner bagging groceries to the Hall of Fame, Johnny Football and Tim Tebow out of football in 2-3 years.
Johnny football should have had his own segment in the "how important is Mike Evans" video. Johnny's highlight reel should be called the Mike Evans pie catching contest
I dont think that short throw to the reciever was a miss. I think thats an option route IMO. When you read zone you stop where you are when you read man you stop then break towards the sideline. When the ball is snapped you since both corners are bailing you cant really tell wether theyre in man or zone. Qb thinks man so he anticipates the reciever breaking towards tbe sideline. The reciever anticipates the maye throwing it right to him so he sits down. This is a situation where the o line cant block so you call quick hitters and sometimes your internal clock is actually too fast.
Even your first example shows something bad that he does, not a 'good throw'. He made a horrible decision because he locked in on one guy. He does that constantly, but it's college so he gets away with it.
i like mayes play a lot. however i feel like whoever drafts hin hast to pair him up with an elite level receiver/tight end to make hin work. a player who will grab those contested catches most of the times, most of the top 10 teams don't have that kind of player right now so adding someone like evans would be a huge step towards making him work out in the nfl
Minnesota Vikings are the ideal perfect match for any 1 of the top 3 or 4 QB prospects. And all of the prospects know it because all of them have already said they would love to have the chance to throw to Justin Jefferson.
He’s the best at reading defenses and understanding coverage and structure. But his footwork is concerning where he drifts in his drop back and creates his own pressure, causing him to get sacked or miss open passes.
I really think the Vikings feel oconnell and mccown can get through to him. Let him sit for half a year or more and get rid of bad habits. If he can’t do that it’s gonna be a mess if he starts day 1 I think
His foot work looks concerning but i cant tell if it just looks like it due to his lanky lower body. His low trajectory on deep passes is too. He doesn't seem to drop them in like the other top prospects.
Drake didn't have as good of a O line as the other top QB. He didn't have as many weapons as the other two either. Carolina did as well as they did because this kid played his arse off.
That’s MY QB 1. Washington needs this at #2. Passed on Herbert lets not pass on his clone. Kliff, Tavita, Blough and company get to work on making this man a polished Franchise QB. All the tools are there. Make Washington Great again.😊
This draft is feeling like a political election. Racists gonna racism. No matter the topic, if there’s a choice to be made they see color first. If Maye truly looked like Herbert or Allen, I would want him too!!! HE DOESN’T! He sucks! I want Daniels SIMPLY because he’s a great player. The BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL this past season. 🙄
Nope Sorry , after hearing for two years how good he was, now all of a sudden he can’t play because Chris Simms says so. Also JJMcCarthy is the best QB in the draft because his coach says so. That doesn’t make every draft Guru on RUclips very good

I mean, even if the Patriots knew Brady would’ve been that good if everybody else has a six round grade on him you’re not gonna draft him until later

@@mikesmith7820 TRUE..Conversely , whatever QB ends up in New England, likely will have a rough road.
He is making a lot of difficult throws I don’t see working in the NFL
🙄👌
Difficult throws is what you want to see from a prospect.
@@pinkerton1650After Caleb, Maye is all there is this year for tight window throws/ big time throws and the best in big time throws completion %
Josh Allen did the same also.

No he’s not he’s made several bad reads against Virginia
@@jefeseason4990he is really good at it, not his fault his receivers are hot ass and get no separation
@@jaishaunn that’s not entirely true I’ve seen him overthrow WRs with no pressure in his face. I can tag the video if you like
This guy will be the best QB in this draft if the team that drafts him can fix his footwork issues

Hey you got right into the film! I love it!!
Yeah idk about this kid reminds me of poor mans big ben . A little josh allen in his game but he doesn't have the gun allen has.
yes he does lol
Bro you are delusional. He very likely has the best arm of the top 3
@@jj18057 I'm not saying he doesn't have a good arm strength. Just not Josh Allen level arm strength.
@@acinoralas9107 Yeah that's not an insult. Nobody has the arm Josh has
I don't see the "elite" arm either, I see a good arm, but I think Caleb Williams has more velocity.
Drake Maye should go 1st. I'm not a bandwagon; i've been saying this.
patrick mahomes had a pick that’s was the exact same situation but worse then the one u mention vs washington in 2021
Maye falls
I hope to see him go to New England at #3
He will be there it’s entirely up to NE. IMO
Pro day will solidify the decision
The answer to your title question is fuck no
Maye is QB1 imo
Nah Caleb is very much QB1. But Maye is closer to Caleb than Daniels is to Maye.
He will be a bust…when he played real competition he lost and folded
He goes to a basketball school he has no help
😂👌🙄
He lost? Or North Carolina lost? Do people not understand that wins are not a QB stat?
Drake didn't have as good of a O line as the other top QB. He didn't have as many weapons as the other two either. Carolina did as well as they did because this kid played his arse off.
No doubt, you’re biased. I wonder why that is. Maye is the only prospect I’ve seen actual talent evaluators say needs to sit out a year.
Vikings will win multiple superbowls with Drake Maye.
HE THROWS INT'S
Josh Rosen 2.0
As a pats fan I’m just praying we don’t trade our pick this kid or Daniels have the potential to be top 5 QB’s especially Maye
Nah man … nah
Are you gonna cover any UFL stuff?
No
Yeah, you're not looking at this right.
