FOX Sports reporter Carmen Vitali is exhausted of Bears mishandling QBs
Bridgewater, Kirk and JJ were all injured that required a year or nearly a year tonheal. Not the winning Sam Darnold! Should the Vikings join losers NY Jets, NC Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, all this years NFL losers, and let Sam go in favor of walking wounded “imaginary heros”?
Kirk was a NFL regular season 100 QB before he was injured that require a ten months to heal. JJ was a preseason 85 QB before he was injured that required second surgery and will take more than a year to heal. Sam is a 105 QB in this Regular NFL season and had never had major injury that required a long time as long as a year to heal. Should Vikings be join NY Jets, NC Panthers and SF 49ers all losers this year to let a healthy NFL winning Darnold go in favor of walking wounded “imaginary heros”?
You've got to look at the fact we played very well at home yes we should have beat Detroit that's our only loss at home the Detroit is banged up worse than any team in football going into the playoffs in Green Bay isn't full strength either and that doesn't matter we've got to be able to beat them full strength that's how I'd like to play them do we have home-field advantage and we're pretty healthy we've got to show the world we can beat Green Bay and Detroit then we get a week off and get to see who we have to play that is the way to the Super Bowl
JJ was a 85 QB in preseason and had a major injury that required two surgeries which has been a year for him to heal. Kirk was a 100 QB before he had a major injury that took a year to heal. QB Bridgewater was injured at the height of his performance. Darnold is a 105 QB and never has had injuries that needs a year to heal in five regular NFL seasons. Vikings will choose JJ and let him walk as NY Jets?
I might be wrong, JJ was a 85 QB in preseason before he was injured that took a whole year to heal. Kirk was also injured and took. Early a year to heal. Sam is a 105 QB in regular season and never has been injured that needs a long time to heal Vikings will let him go elsewhere?
The game will come down to Packers red zone success. Our D has been stout in the red zone. Unfortunately I don't see us having the same defensive success in the red zone in this one. Pack 35, Vikes 24.
Stronger? Can’t mean O Line
Literally misquoted Jefferson
Seeing the Bears hold Seattle to 6 pts, I am a little concerned with how our defense has looked at times lately. They've often been asked to do a lot, though, with the offense not staying on the field. Their pass rush does start to turn up in the 4th quarter. I would like to see more consistency to stop drives out of scoring range like earlier in the season. Stopping the run and forcing turnovers goes well in playoffs for defense. Hopefully their run defense gets back to form with Ivan Pace coming back.
I might be wrong, JJ was 85QB in preseason. Doarnold ‘s QB rating is 105 in NFL Regular season! JJ was injured in preseason and took a year to heal. Kirk was injured in regular season and took a year to heal. Sam was not injured that took a year to heal in three regular NFL seasons.
If the Vikings lose this game, so what? They weren't going to get the #1 seed anyway. Better to learn from a loss and (probably) get an extra day to prepare for the Lions, than have a 9-game winning streak just waiting to be snapped on the road next weekend! Just my two cents anyway. If they sack and intercept Love a few times, that's just as good as winning in this case. Either way, I say bring it on!!
Will ikings morphs to a New York Jets and let 105 QB Darnold walk awy?
Green Bay crushed Seattle. The next week Seattle outplayed Minnesota. That's why GB is favored.
No it isn't. Seattle did NOT outplay Minnesota, and GB is favored because the media thinks statistics tell you everything, instead of wins and momentum which actually tell you more. But either way, who the f__k cares? This is all useless BS when you get right down to it. Everything is decided on the field, not by odds makers. Unless you believe in conspiracy nonsense, of course...
Geno was out before the half time break. Saints had backup QB Rattler for the entire game. This week will be against a legitimate NFL team
Seattle did NOT outplay Minnesota. Seattle led for a total of 30 seconds in that game.
Seattle did NOT outplay Minnesota. Seattle led for a total of 30 seconds in that game.
As good as he's been, I'd bet on Darnold getting even better in year 2.
Just look at where he was drafted no # 3 over all to one of the worst QB neede teams that ruin QB's carrers. Just take a good look at the previous QB's the jets have had, and then the panthers come on the two worst teams for years. The jets for decades, his play shows why he was a 3rd over all drafted...
The Lions hangover hasn't been a thing in a while. Green Bay smashed the Seahawks in Seattle after losing in Detroit.
Vikings 28 Packers 14 Jordan Love is due for a Silly INT. Aaron Jones is due for a TD against his former team.
I don't think, I know that the Vikings are going to kick butt!!!!! SKOL!!!! The past is the past, different situation! Vikings have an opportunity to win the Division and the 1st seed. If you have the opportunity, take it, and you don't you didn't want it in the first place then need not worry!
Jones is open Sam just never throws it to him
I think the vikings pull this one out, green bays kryptonite this year has been good teams vikes 31 pack 21.
31- 16 Vikings
@johnswanson3741 I hope skol!!!
And that one turnover benefited the Vikings, and Sam knew that would be the case.
The thing I'm afraid of with paying Darnold isn't about closing a Superbowl window due to his pay. I know we can kick the can down the road a couple of years. I'm just afraid of what happens then, when the bill comes due. Do we turn into the Saints?
I just cant get into the no defense 50TD style that a lot of the bowl games seem to turn into. I catch the odd game if i cant find anything else to watch though.
Vikings are still getting no respect. The Vikings beat the Packers easily at Lambeau. What changed? Is everyone who writes about the NFL contractually obligated to glaze the Packers and trash the Vikings?
Hoping Florio is right !!
22:38 big sample size? 1.75 seasons. He's in love with love. Lol
If they force turnover(s) from Love, they win. If there's no turnovers at all, feels like a 2-3 point game and coin flip of which team gets it
I think worst case scenario would be to beat GB and lose to lions. Possibly on a short ish week after playing 2 very physical games, would be tough on the road.
And if they DO beat GB, does that mean they move the Detroit game to next Saturday? And I thought corporate media only sucks when it comes to politics!
How bout the "best" scenario..... two more victories to take the NFC! Then 3 more to get respect!
I hate it when people are like that, too.
How bad does Andrew think the Vikings are? Half the GB defensive starters are out and we still lose?
Depth
Vikings trounce the Packers and then on to det.
Please don’t give Jaire any undue credit. He did not intercept that pass with the griddy. DPI and taunting
Always look forward to the discussion between you and Andrew each week. Great stuff.
Appreciate that!!
Me too
It's time to see what we're made of
All this Packers being favored, all their hype, no love for our squad is getting way past old. They have a lot of key injuries, we need to just beat the brakes off them and be done with it!
SKOL VIKINGS
If the refs/script didn't favor the opposing teams, vikings could make the superbowl.
When was the last time a cheap qb won a superbowl, let a rookie? Lol
In hindsight, Charbonnet was inconsequential from a yardage and scoring perspective. But the entire Seahawks offense was completely inept.
I agree with you guys that everyone waiting for the bottom to fall out are missing out on the ride. But I think that the 2017 run really jaded a lot of fans. It sort of felt like a year of destiny, with the super bowl being in Minneapolis and the miracle, but then getting absolutely pantsed by Philly.
Part of it is 2017 but part of it is also the fact we were told 2025 is our year. I’m treating this as a bonus season where we will be competitive for a while but some people can’t enjoy it because they think 2025 is the year. I think if we treat this year as a bonus and enjoy the playoffs, we won’t be so worried if it doesn’t work out, we’ll have multiple shots at this.
This guy needs to stop nagging on fans
15 wins in ‘98, DUH!
Love only has a cap hit of $20 mil this year. The Lions have a bunch of key players still on rookie deals. There are ways to pay a QB and still have a competitive roster. But a lot of stuff has to go right. I personally would like to see a few years of Vikings football where they aren't in cap hell from overpaying a non elite qb. Fill the roster holes around JJ's contract. Even if he isn't a stud right away, i have no doubt in this offense that JJ can at least be a serviceable starter that can move the ball and score some points. It seems like everyone thinks the offense is currently putting up like 40 a game all because of Darnold. He's looked good, but he's also still inconsistent.
Donald Driver quick slant on 3rd and 5 or less was automatic. I forgot about him until Manny mentioned it.
Fact: Green Bay is terrified that they’re going to get blown away. The Vikings for the first time in 15 weeks I’ve got their entire defense back. Sam Darnold is getting far more familiar with his receivers and hitting ad Libs route who are the Green Bay Packers have been playing good they aren’t any really different or the Vikings are different. They’re much better much more fluid on offense
What most people missed about Sam Darnold was comparing his talent to KOC's internal examples. Even going back to the Rams, there was evidence that Kevin O'Connell was doing great work optimizing the talent of his QBs. Matt Stafford looked great. Then, after becoming HC for Minnesota, KOC's QBs immediately improved. Notably, Kirk Cousins had improved seasons, and then we saw the shocking episode with Passtronaut Dobbs, and even a flash of good play from Nick Mullens. Point is, if we compare their physical talent to what we saw in Sam Darnold, the "draft flop" always looked a lot better. Taller, stronger, better arm, cool and determined, surprisingly athletic. Now working with the best coach he'd ever had. Consider just Mullens. His main shortcoming is what? He's a mad bomber, and KOC hasn't been able to make him stop throwing deep balls at every opportunity. Now, add a few inches of height, a much stronger arm, max out the accuracy, and minimize the foolish throws. That version of Mullens would be pretty close to what Sam Darnold looks like. The best news is, what Sam has learned from KOC isn't the kind of stuff he'll forget. Darnold is going to be an excellent QB for a long time, wherever he goes. He'd love to stick around Minnesota for another year, but he will now make any QB needy team a lot better.
Dobbs went backwards in KOC's system. Dobbs looked great for 2 games, mostly because of his athleticism and off script plays. When he tried to stay within the system, he looked awful.
@@martygras378 Of course. That's why KOC let Dobbs go, and picked up Daniel Jones later.
The big play that could cost the game could be another special teams blunder. And throw in a high-risk trick play that fails or a key uncorrected mistake by an official and an uncharacteristic miss by our human kicker or uncharacteristic drop by a supremely talented receiver and it's another missed opportunity.
Hopefully it's the Packers with those sorts of mistakes
Perfect pep talk. I quit watching football since 2019, all sports for them years took a hiatus, and I came back to the same defeatist mentality from this fan base and friends and family and it’s pathetic. Have fun, this season is amazing and yet we still have loser Brad mentality.
Everyone just thinks Jordan's throwing picks. Thrown one in week 11, which was a tip ball, and none since. He has 11 INT. So does Darnold. You'll be waiting
He's elite. Let him call his own plays.
