What an amazing sense of expectation this piece creates ... beautiful ... I'm still holding my breath ...
Never heard of this until tonight!! And I've had music for lthe other etudes (op.,10 & 25) for years. Amazing...I'd love to learn this, & no.1 too.
Sad that these 3 etudes aren’t part of an opus number.
The polyrhythms are really cool.
My favorite Chopin.
May be my favorite version of one of my fave pieces ever! Bravo!
Beautiful! I have loved this piece for 40 years!
I have been looking for this for ages!
I love it.
Best Chopin piece to me
Beautiful!
I’m learning this right now... and what I’m playing sounds _nothing_ like this.
Same here! One hundred percent 😅
Wait. There is an inconstistency regarding the numbering of this étude in the set of the Nouvelles Études. Some sources cite this one as being No. 2 and some as No. 3. Are you sure you are not playing the other one, in D-flat major?
@@AG-fl3klYes, also with you, are you sure you are playing the right étude?
@@Henri.d.Olivoir I'm pretty sure they know if they're playing a different composition dude lmao
@@Tulanir1 Yeah, that's why I think it correlates, since he highlighted the fact that the piece he's playing sounds *NOTHING* like this one
This piece sounds really nice paulstretched to a factor of 25 :)
Chopin to najpiękniejsza spuścizna dla ludzkości. ❤️
Amazing
The story goes that Liszt on his death bed asked a friend to perform this etude for him, the last music that he would hear as he died. He might have preferred an interpretation like Horowitz's, which is more sensitive and meditative than Fors' rather agitated approach to the music.
Thank you Gordon for your comment, I understand your point. I listened to my interpretation with a critical ear. I think, at this point in time, I would still resort to the same interpretive solutions, with living up to the beauty of the chords - why not also meditative - in a natural pulse, but also with a certain fulfillment of the harmonies. Of course, no interpretation is written in stone, and may differ in another moment, or stage of life. After all, all I can do is to search for my own interpretative truth, within the score.
You know you have succeeded as a composer if Liszt wants to hear your piece as his last
@@user-hu3iy9gz5jChopin is better than Liszt so I don’t get what you mean
Listen to ''You'll Believe Me - Louis Cole'' which incorporates these harmonies in a different context.
Still working on with Dr Dan at HBU .

Hey person is your right hand okay????

True!! If she had taken much notice of what the composer probably wrote, then the following passage would not have sounded so harsh on the ears!!
Do the third one next
Thanks for your suggestion. The third one can actually be found on my debut album "Drawn with Autobigraphite" and also the complete Chopin's Trois nouvelles études. In my opinion, if I may say, the interpretations on the disc are more advanced versions compared to my youtube performances, maybe also more mature and refined - especially the first étude in F minor, which I am particularly pleased with. (A small glimpse of the third etude is heard in the teaser, the links are found in the description box)
ha tfu
it's No. 3
NO!!! It is No.2. It's in A flat major, which is the key the music is written in on the music!!
@@grumpyoldpianistplus I agree... There's some confusion [online ] with the 2 and the 3. I've even seen Both called the A flat Major...
