Shabana wins. Furthest distance to cover on a drop for the shot - requires the greatest touch and highest possibility for punishment if the shot is not on. That plus a taxi wins the day. #2: Rodriquez for the reaction and the pirouette #3: Gawad #4: Marche
It doesn't seem possible to _not_ vote for #6 Rodriguez, #8 Ashour, or Hesham's topspins. But one thing I am sure of is 3:13 Hesham is the Reaction Of The Year.
So many good shots. Although I think Rodriguez's #6 was phenomenal, it wasn't a winner, which I feel is an implied attribute for a shot of the year. I find Gaultier's #2 and Shabana's #1 amazing as well, although I am somewhat biased as Gaultier is my favorite player. I believe that #7 Mossad is the best shot. Not only was it an outright winner, the complete a-typical nature of the shot and the absolute contrast from what "The Hammer of Thor" is known for puts this as the best shot for me.
I vote either rodiriguez's shot, or omar mossad's drop shot at 2:30. Didn't think omar's smash kill at #9 was anything special besides pure power. His drop shot however required skill, confidence, timing, and some seirous guts to play it!
How is it that squash players are such nice people and can smile and even applaud a great shot by their opponent. Maybe it’s because they’re next to each other on court, as opposed to tennis players who have a net between them and nearly always look so miserable
#1 Shabana. I've seen it loads of times now but I still got fooled and thought for a second, "wait, where did that go??". Unbelievable technique and disguise.
All were amazing, no doubt. How do these players have SUCH mindfulness in their brain to play these shots? Personally I feel Omar Mossad's "Hammer Of Thor" was the best... So I'll go with number 9
#1 shabana for reminding us of the diversity in possible shots as well as the value of deception/surprise (not to mention impeccable style) in our great sport or #10 mosaad for pure accuracy, timing and placement to produce a shot so indefinitely unreturnable it makes you laugh.
Great selection ramy, mosad, gawad very difficult but for pure deception and accuracy from a position where you have no right to play a winner has to be Shabulous No 1.
#6 rodriguez. Could watch that shot all day!
#6 Miguel Angel Rodriguez; Amazing shot! It's nothing like any other other shot you would see on a series to series basis. Superb!

#2: Rodriquez for the reaction and the pirouette
#3: Gawad
#4: Marche
Gregoire Marche's kill on number 11... Drop shots don't get better than that. Incredible!
#7 Omar Mosaad, Caressing the Hammer of Thor to produce that beautiful cross court drop. Massive taxi for the Black Fulcan
#6 Rodriguez - amazing anticipation and awareness
Almost stopped watching the video after #7.
For the pure novelty of the shot, I think it is the winner.
My shorter short list is #6, #9 and #1... All different, but equally brilliant! 👍
#9 Hammer of Thor! Best part is Mazen's reaction several seconds after the shot that only shows in the first replay
Number 1 as always.. Catches everyone out. So casual and makes it look so easy
In terms of technical difficulty; #8 for sure.
Definetly #7:Omar Mosaad. Amazing taxi. Best ive ever seen

truee
#6 Rodriguez's shot is out of this world. #9 Mossad's is also insane.
#1 Shabanna. Incredible. Simple, Easy and pretty.
some seriously good shots. Too many to chose from.
#1 Amr Shabana
Wish he is still around
I'd have to say #9. It's too great of a shot!
#1 Amr Shabana I hope he coaches as well as he played
All beautiful... My choice would be Mosaad's #7
Marche or Mosaad - they both had the intent and outcome that was exquisite
They're all so amazing, hard to decide! it will be an Egyptian who wins though!
good plays
9 or 10. Cannot decide!
#7...amazing control.
awesome selection ! :) #7 all the way though..
The white ball, is that the same as the 2x yellow dot black?

Number 1 Shabana is shot was probably the greatest shot of all time!!!
Has to be the Hammer of Thor #9.
can't decide #1 and #9 are equally good for me
#6 miguel angel rodriguez
its incredible
I vote either rodiriguez's shot, or omar mossad's drop shot at 2:30. Didn't think omar's smash kill at #9 was anything special besides pure power. His drop shot however required skill, confidence, timing, and some seirous guts to play it!
#6 just has to be it.
#1 and 6
How is it that squash players are such nice people and can smile and even applaud a great shot by their opponent. Maybe it’s because they’re next to each other on court, as opposed to tennis players who have a net between them and nearly always look so miserable
I cannot decide wether #7 or #9!!! I'll go for number 9!
#1 Shabana. I've seen it loads of times now but I still got fooled and thought for a second, "wait, where did that go??". Unbelievable technique and disguise.
#1 - shabana
Has to be #9!
9!
#6 for me!!
#7 very deceptive and amazing shot and taxi there was no way any player could get that
#11 the roll...
How does squash work do u just hit the ball
#2 Gaultier, Strange Taxi
All were amazing, no doubt. How do these players have SUCH mindfulness in their brain to play these shots? Personally I feel Omar Mossad's "Hammer Of Thor" was the best... So I'll go with number 9
#6 Rodriguez, the width
#6 Miguel Angel Rodriguez
#1 Amr Shabana
Mosaad's taxi!
#1 shabana for reminding us of the diversity in possible shots as well as the value of deception/surprise (not to mention impeccable style) in our great sport or #10 mosaad for pure accuracy, timing and placement to produce a shot so indefinitely unreturnable it makes you laugh.
#1 amr shabana for me
#3 or #7
it'd be nice if they showed other shots rather than nicks. why not a perfect lob or drive?
#1 shabana
Great selection ramy, mosad, gawad very difficult but for pure deception and accuracy from a position where you have no right to play a winner has to be Shabulous No 1.
damned ad right in the middle that can't be removed
#1 or #7 for me.
#9 Mossaad
#8 Difficult to choice, but I go with Ramy's winning lob from a tight drop.
#1 Shabana because of the suprise shot
#9 HAMMER OF THOR!
it must be the hammer of THOR #9
#3 Willstrop even fooled me watching tv
7
Gotta be Mossad's "Hammer of Thor" Dead as a Dodo
Hammer of Thor thx
#10 Hesham
#9 hammer!
I'll got with #7 Hammer Of Thor
#8 ashour : impressive lob.
#1 or #2 so much spin on the ball by Gaultier just ridiculous
#7 the feather of Thor!
#7 Omar Mosaad
#7 no doubt. Best taxy ever
I think hesham should get the shotmaker of the year even though i think the best shot was #1 or #11 (that was the flatest nick by a mile)
#9 The Hammer Of Thor
Rodriguez all day long
That dab at 4:39 tho
#7 Omar Mosaad for sure
2:10 ultra instinct
#6 Rodriguez you cant teach that.
#1
#4 or hesham
I miss Hesham.
#9
#6 Rodriguez, unorthodox doesn't even come close to describing it
#1 AMR SHABANA.. He deserves it..
#9 ridiculous power
Shabs, because he will never feature in one again :-(
has to be Gawad doesn't it, the whole rally tells the story of the shot. Mossads is awesome too
#1 shabanaaaa
#1 amr shabana
#1 SHABANA
For 2016, please stop mentioning Cameron Pilley's world record. It's not a significant accomplishment.
+Kip Diskin I think you miss the point.
Absolutly marche
#1 Shabana takes the prize. It's against the World #1, ElShorbagy, who doesn't even start to move in the direction of the ball!
#1 Shabana... that was pretty impossible :)
Wondering in 2023, what Amr thinks of asinine Asal.
