    I really like these pink courts. The ball is really visible even on a small screen.

    And some people said they don´t like Matthew cause he is too defensive, when he dominated over Rodriguez moreover in the first halft of the game while Rodriguez was just running and retrieving, but those one do like Rodriguez who is way more defensive

      Nick Matthew was not really defensive. He used his physicality to impose a high pace game and attacked clinically. If someone thinks Matthew was a defensive player, they don't really understand squash.

      ball was already past matthew, rodriguez took the long way to the ball, but since rodriguez got to the ball, yes let

    • @alfredtu2
      @alfredtu2 7 лет назад

      It's the beginning of the match so its quite lenient as the players learn their space with each other, so it was probably the fact that it was in the middle of the court and rodriguez just felt the backswing could potentially just clip matthew or it just feels that way.

  • @AlastairJohnRoss
    @AlastairJohnRoss 8 лет назад +1

    The stroke to Rodriguez at 9-8 (to go to 10-8) is ridiculous - a simple let, maybe even a no let given when Rodriguez asked for it.

    • @mariocampos2044
      @mariocampos2044 8 лет назад

      Stroke for me.

    • @AlastairJohnRoss
      @AlastairJohnRoss 8 лет назад

      Upon review I'd stick by my initial comment but agree a let was probably the best call, though I'd reason it as a 'safety' let - I don't think it's definitive that Rodriguez would have hit Matthew (or not been able to play any shot he was entitled to) had he actually played the shot but I can see why he was reluctant to play the ball.

    • @mariocampos2044
      @mariocampos2044 8 лет назад

      Sometimes it looks "exagerate" when they call a "stroke", as in this case, Rodriguez could hit the ball, but they look for an easy point.

    • @mischamclean1973
      @mischamclean1973 7 лет назад

      Alastair Ross it was a no let he thought he was going for a straight drive so he wanted a let but it went right so he looked really crazy calling a let TBH

    Can someone tell me how tape helps with players' recovery?

    • @imaadsaid6419
      @imaadsaid6419 8 лет назад

      Injury recovery that is

    • @martinjefferies666
      @martinjefferies666 8 лет назад +1

      re your question and Kiko's answer . . . ouch! completely wrong on all counts Kiko:
      Tendon and ligament are completely different things with completely different jobs. Tape is tape, it is never as strong as muscle ligament or tendon and can barely support a paper bag let alone support any part of a human structure. If you used Gorilla tape with enough force to limit joint movement you'd also cut the blood supply. The same is true of elasticated joint 'supports' in that they actually support nothing. What they will do is to give (through pressure on pressure receptors in the skin) a 'sense' of support' which, rather than make muscles stronger, actually does the opposite. The benefit and purpose is to give the muscle the idea that it doesn't have to work so hard stabilising a joint (which it usually does as a secondary reaction to any soft tissue injury in that area and, often, long after the actual injury has repaired) so that the joint is free to move and the muscle can use it's power to create movement rather than limit it. Keniesiology tape is actually elasticated sticky tape which pulls on the skin as the joint moves so that the 'impression' of movement is transferred from the skin to the muscle with the same result. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Unfortunately a lot of people do.

    10:57 Stroke to matthew

    • @mariocampos2044
      @mariocampos2044 8 лет назад

      Nick ran to the right and then went for the ball, that´s why it looks like Rodriguez was in front, but Nick could hit with no problem.

  • @ashtonauts1843

    5:02 No let, Rodriguez could've backhanded and it would've been a stroke if Matthew didn't move out the way.

  • @ashtonauts1843

    This game is such a beautiful contrast between their playstyles - Rodriguez the incredible technical player, and Matthews the petulant child always fishing for lets because his skill just isn't up to the same level.

    • @arnaud78
      @arnaud78 5 лет назад +2

      Chris Doms, sorry to be so blunt, but you have no foundation for what you're saying. Nick is a 3 time world champion, Commonwealth Games double gold medalist, and 3 time British Open champion. Rodriguez, though an amazing player, has not yet come even CLOSE to that achievement level. Maybe Matthew could have played one or two balls instead of asking for a let, but in my opinion his skill level is high enough to know when his shot is going to be impaired enough to put him on the back foot.

    This is the most terrible commentators - they destroy every game!
    They are not there - talking about humidity and other total irellevant stuff when the most exiting thing is happening on the court... what´s the matter with this guys - who did the mistake and gave them a microphone?
    Please stop them from destroying more games and sack the right away!

    • @Ruskinlord

      I guess it´s the way it is - some like comentators that have a more relaxed aproach, some don´t. Personally I cant stand it...
