I just wanted to let you know that my son LOVED this dish! He is begging me to make all foods like this. LOL. I followed the recipe except that I had to use gluten free flour and I made my own Soul Spice from online recipe. Easy. I thought it was a fail due to the flour while I was making the gravy, but my mantra was keep stirring and adding hot water and sure enough, it all came together. I made a lot and tonight we are having leftovers and I am supplementing the gravy with sauteed mushrooms in butter and garlic and poured the leftover gravy and chops on top of that. I also used the strained frying grease as my base for the gravy. Yummy. I am an old man and have been cooking for over 40 years since my first wife showed me that she could not cook. Never to old to learn something new. To me anyway.
Great video. I learned a similar technique, grew up Pennsylvania Dutch. Only real difference was we always use the pan drippings after frying to make the gravy. There’s a ton of flavor in those drippings. I enjoyed your lesson. Thanks.
This was the BEST gravy I've ever made. My previous gravies were always horrible and I never made a rue for gravy!!! I used Pork Stew Meat and cooked it just like your pork chops. You helped me to recognize the right crust to have on the pork before taking them out. Thanks so much. I'm going to look for more of your videos.

😋I read the reviews about pan drippings. So people what if you didn't fry meat that day and just wanted gravy. Gina just showed you how. I'm glad to see this. I've tried to make gravy without the pan drippings and that mess tasted like unseasoned paste. Thanks Gina
Gemini Rule She later explained that she did it like that because she need to do more gravy than the drippings. However, you can tweak it anyway that you want it. And she remind us all the time if the various options.

Okay, so I followed your instructions to the T! And it was the best gravy I have ever made. And I know how to make gravy!!!!!! You're killing me over here! The chicken bouillon and soy sauce are what changed my life today! I've always used one or the other. But together just elevates the dish! Thank you love bug! I'd weigh 400 pounds if I lived at your house. I think I gained 5 pounds just watching this video! My mouth is watering. I don't have bouillon crystals on hand, but I do have chicken broth/stock and beef stock on hand, plenty of it too, so I will use that heated up in stead of the hot water and bouillon. I hope it tastes as amazing as your gravy looks. I do see that using hot water and bouillon, would be cheaper to use though so I may buy some crystal (crushed) bouillon soon to have on hand❤

New subscriber here. I just love your sweet personality and I share many of the same cooking techniques as yourself. I love some smothered chops. In the Winter, I will often stuff my chops, brown them good all over(but not done) and proceed to make my pan gravy and let them chops finish cooking in that gravy, girl!! New subscriber here. I just love your sweet personality and I share many of the same cooking techniques as yourself. I love some smothered chops. In the Winter, I will often stuff my chops, brown them good all over(but not done) and proceed to make my pan gravy and let them chops finish cooking in that gravy, girl!! Love your channel, keep up the great recipe/cooking videos!
