You stating that the cold air intake has something to do with a coolant leak says a lot about your knowledge of engines.

Also consider the fact that he thinks it’s gonna make his car faster, they are expensive because it’s a very good design and it get cooler air but it’s still hot normal air it doesn’t cool it down just takes it in from farther from the engine you’ll notice more pep but the fact he thought it’d make it noticeably fast is just very disappointing, aFe makes AMAZING products and his shitty knowledge and review based on his knowledge hurts their business, this mans probably took it to a shop to get it put on too

@@tucxter Lmao, before seeing videos on how to install these, I was honestly about ready to bring mine to a shop to do so as well, but now I'm seeing it's easily installed, and I do happen to have tools to do the job
JLT Performance are very good CAI for Challenger/Charger not overpriced and great airflow to the motor!

I went for the same company CAI for a Lexus rc 200t only 335 (had 25 dollars off) and honestly I think it was worth it, appearance it looks kinda like yours but a little less aggressive, but it came with the little capsule for the cai, it was well present and I can feel a small difference for me it was well worth it along with a catback exhaust (on top of that with a muffler delete & resonator delete), reduces weight, more sound, and better throttle and turbo sound? It just added to the whole thing I might be pushing long 281hp but it feels like 400 LOL!
I installed one on my scat pack, found it on ebay for 429.00 no tax shipped to my door for free and it was brand new not a used unit. if you want an open intake system I would suggest staying with the stock system adding the hellcat tube to it. I have noticed a real nice loud growl when i romp on the peddle and I leave a longer mark on the road over stock intake, my car actually runs cooler over the stock system and gas mileage is a tad better. So for looks and performance I would go with the AFE system over anything else out there.

I added the hellcat tube and K&N filter and felt the difference over stock, so I went on Ebay to look for intake systems and came across this one by AFE, I was a little hesitant to spend over 400 bucks for an intake, but when I read the reviews and saw that no flashing was needed after installing I decided to give it a try and man am I happy with it, romp on the peddle and the 6.4 comes alive and I have noticed that the engine runs slightly cooler. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to take old system out and install new system.

It's probably the only true cold air intake with the headlight inlet.

I have an older style aFe setup on my Challenger SRT, and they are good. But just adding any CAI wont make enough power to really notice that much difference, if anything at all. Now it will however help out collectively, by adding a CAI, a tune, and then Cat-back pipes you will achieve some power. Even adding the Leg Maker CAI didn't make any noticeable gains when another youtuber named B. Mason did a review on this topic with his SRT, and the LM is the latest and greatest available on the market today. He said that he didn't see any noticeable gains with it, but as an addition to the other mods it does make a deference in performance.
I have a 2011 charger rt. 85mm BBK throttle body, weapon r intake, Flowmaster American thunder catbacks, accel super coils, and a catch can to keep the oil out of the intake. I notice no more power buy gas mileage went from 18 to almost 30

How's the new R-1234yf system cooling for ya? careful not to get a leak in your hoses. The Refrigerant is expensive!
I agree that there are other options for cold air intakes but in order to get the FULL potential out of this afe intake u need to tune your car with the aFe Scorcher PRO tuning kit, if you dont tune it on your own.

It does look pretty awesome - performance I know it feels faster better throttle response but did you test it with the timers?
+R/T Life yeah I had the same 0-60 time (5.0 secs). The Dyno sheet from AFE shows HP/Torque gains in the upper band so there's probably no gains in the lower RPM ranges. I haven't dyno'd my car nor have I had it tuned since I installed the CAI. I can definitely say it made my car louder. Better throttle response as well.

I have in Challenger R/T 2012, and not served, lost HP, and has failures in the RPM the mechanic induced me that does not work well in my car
I was/am debating either Injen Evolution Air Intake ($315) or the aFe Momentum GT ($470) for my 2017 Dodge Charger R/T. They look a lot a like and if they perform the same I'm going to pick up the injen and save $155. Unless the injen is a complete dumpster fire

I just bought a 2014 Silverado double cab and when I looked under the God I saw this afe cold air intake I wasn't hip to it so when I took it for a test drive I was amazed with it I knew I was a major different from the factory it's like every time I'm stepping on the gas I'm burning rubber now I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it seem to me that it's doing the job I didn't know it cost 500 though

It’s a 5.7 dude, just do shorty headers and a cat back exhaust then a supercharger and you”ll be happy. I’m installing mine next year on my ‘16 300C Platinum. The N/A route with stock displacement costs more in parts and labor and won’t get you there. I know because I just did it.

Yes because it’s minimizing the reuptake of hot air that the engine is producing.
Does nothing to exhaust note. Might... Might increase induction note. Unlikely on a V8 though. On 4s & 6s, yes.
Seems to me you could have come to your end decision before you bought the afe CAI.
I think it look amazing. the whole antifreeze thing well that's not good for it to be 500$ an there's lots of things that car owners buy that don't even give you 0 horsepower and are only for looks that have ridicules prices like I seen a RUclips with a charger scatpack buy a 800$ to 1000$ carbon fiber steering wheel it all depends on wat you like and if you have lots of cash to blow.
I’m doing 15 ft burn outs from hitting it at 25 mph all after market performance parts are from aFe power. This was not a good video example of aFe power

Cold intake are mainly for v6 which allows the air to flow better. V8 and up really don’t need this
If you added 1 HP or 1 FPT I would be shocked. All you added was sound and appearance. Cold air intakes do nothing for performance. Supercharge it or do nothing.

I just traded my 10 Camaro ss in for a 13 srt g c. I can’t believe after years of talking trash about mopar especially after showing so many r/t’s my tail lights I went out and bought one (only because I needed more room). I’m still ss at heart lol. Anyway I think if you’re getting other mods like headers that’s when it’ll make a difference. If you’re not getting any tunes done to the car you’re not going to notice.
Not really a mopar hater btw, just hated r/t chargers because a lot of people with them were always doing some crazy shit and always wanting to race. I’ve never seen any srt or above people driving crazy. It’s like the r/t people have to show everybody else they’re fast too.

If this caused a coolant leak , either you or the shop you had put it on screwed up somewhere.... and check your fluids better.
That 5.7L hemi needs 100 more hp. Lol.
I have one specially made for rams gave me a 30hp gain and 31ft lbs torque gain doing. Can definitely see a difference with mine lol. Just bought there throttle body spacer. You need an after market exhaust for full gains. But theoretically my ram will have 460hp and 470ft lbs of torque. In a 5.7 Hemi with 8 speed transmission. 3.92 gearing

$6,000 to fabricate, install, and tune twin turbos is pretty cheap, especially on a vehicle that was N/A from the factory. 30HP/FT.lbs from just an intake is funny...they advertise 16HP/18FT. lb gain. The advertisements are always pretty lofty too

The only thing CA smog stations need is a sticker basically. I had a tag welded on my pipes and it passed...or the tech just didn't care but usually all they check is the exhaust with some tech tool.

Tbh. I'd pay a bit more for a system that is CARB legal. I live in CA and so eof these liberal cops will check to see if my modification is legal. Some friends have been sent to a referee for an CAI. My other questions is how is the CAI in this car make it louder from the rear if your really "banging" it?
