hey bud like your videos. i have same bike same yer. but my ktm has jerky throttle cpecially in 1st and 2nd grs. question: 1.do you have same jerky throttle? 2. did you remove the Reeds thank you for answering
Was surprised to learn that the most hp any exc 500 has been dyno’d at on pump gas and stock internals is 57hp with a GET ECU. So these things probably have more like 40-45hp off the showroom floor with emissions still intact.
@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 Weird almost de-fueling effect on the enduro map, hard starting (cold mostly but warm too), weird idle issue when i pulled my clutch in coming up to a stop sign. Tried everything to fix it except sending it back. Went with a vortex and never looked back.
@@MotoVloggedOUT I probably could have sent it back and gotten a new unit, or remap, or spent a few more days troubleshooting/tweaking it.... instead I just got the vortex and obtained the results I wanted from the beginning... IMO spending close to $1000 I shouldn't be experiencing these issues right out of the box...
Most guys that run aftermarket ecu's ALSO use lithium batteries. Ir yours is Li, you need to load that batt for a minute or two prior to ignition, my friend.
@MotoVloggedOUT unfortunately, it is just a fact of the battery chemistry. Lithium batteries don't like the cold and they need time to "wake up". I use them a lot in my hobby-related stuff and have directly experienced this. I have also experienced this on my KTM 1290 super adventure. When cold, I activate the ignition sequence and let it sit for a min with the light on. If you put a multimeter to it, you can literally see the voltage rise. If I don't let the batt wake up, it causes all sorts of problems. Also I have had much worse experience with some brands of batt on my ktm and very little to none with others. The weight reduction is serious and is worth some grief to find a li solution that works for you.
Hi there I have a 2021 ktm500 and my bike runs sweet with the standard ecu and she will wheels in 6th do you think it will be worth me getting a gets ecu for my bike or shud I just keep it haw it is ? And what size sprockets are you using I'm using 13/50 .love the video 🤙
I’m still on factory sprockets. It does make a big difference but it’s not a necessity. They run good from factory but they do definitely run better with the ecu.
They are worth it. With the inljne fuel management set ups like a power commander or a ECU should be done. These bikes run very lean from the factory and those item fix that.
@@curtisgrimes3020 i’m currently in a pickle right now I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for weeks now because I need an ECU for my 500 EXCF in the get is $1000 I was tempted to go with the power commander but the power commander has an issue that will throw a check engine light constantly and you have to shut the bike off to clear it and I don’t wanna have to deal with those issues do you think I should go with the get?
When the tune matches the particular individualaties of a bike and rider it's a majic carpet ride.
Nothing like a motorcycle to make ya happy!👍
Why is it so clean???
Thinking about doing the exhaust end cap and ecu. Is there a big difference in sound with the end cap? Thanks great video
Yes, it’s still not as loud is the xcf or sxf factory silencers tho

I don’t think it’s jerky. I know the ecu smoothed it out some. And no I left the reeds in. Did you try to adjust your throttle?
@@natea7450 you mean thtrottle body where cold and hot acrews.. or just uper handle cable?
i did not adjusted anything yet but i want to.
Up by the handle bars. It may help some
@@natea7450 i will try..thank you for adwise.

Doesn’t the new 2024, KTM 500, have more horsepower than the older ones?
Cool video, nice to see you had a good experience with the GET! Mine was not so much…
What happened?

@@9MinuteMotos Dang. I just ordered one for my EX250F. Fingers crossed. 😬 Thank you for replying.
@@9MinuteMotos blaming the ECU for tune issues is… I guess what you chose to do.
