You know what's funny. We have the same model of Subaru....same colour...and I also have a France 6 days. It turns up tomorrow morning. So excited! Have fun.
fuuuk i can see the excitement both of yall are having and it's contagious! feels like i just got a new bike too lmao! i love that feeling! look forward to see more content from you guys :)
@@TheKernables I got the fmf installed and it sounds good. But I need to buy different turn signals because the air from the exhaust reflects off the right rear turn signal and it sounds pretty annoying. I’m thinking of just buying a tidy tail and putting Sicass racing flush mount smoked led turn signals. That’s the setup I had on my previous husqvarna and it worked beautifully.
Congratulations my brother, I bought mine 9 months ago, on January 8 of this year (2023) it was the only KTM 6 Days Edittion that was in the dealer, I could feel the excitement of buying a new bike when I saw your video, ride safe, congratulations!!
I almost went 6Days, but I got a better deal on the standard. It has been on the stand for the past two months while parts trickle in and it slowly gets built. It'll be my BDR weapon for out of state trips every year for hopefully many years to come. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours and congrats!
Awesome bike brother! I’m jealous! I just recently purchased a 2021 Husqvarna fe350s with thousands worth of upgrades and only 240miles that was owned by a 67yr old man and I absolutely love the damn thing! Now I have to find some people to ride with here in Arizona.
@@TheKernables that’s why I usually look for used bikes that don’t have a bunch of miles because new bikes have so many added cost like freight and them having to put the bike together which starts making the price skyrocket. But a brand new bike always feels good because you’re the only person to have done anything to the bike. It can also be like the saying “you never want to meet your hero because they often fail to fulfill one's expectations, resulting in disappointment”. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Congrats on your new bike I own the same exact bike as you! Best bike I’ve ever owned quick question for you though? Why didn’t you wait for the 2024 model with better suspension and everything I wish I had a waited my self I’ve had mine for about 4 months and I have only rode it a few times wondering if I should maybe swap her in for a 24 these are all really tough problems to have 😂
I’ve done zero research on model year specifics and I just know KTM makes every new generation batter so always buy the newest model. This was bought pretty spontaneously because I just requested a quote and got a call the next day that they had this on with a $1,500 rebate so I just jumped on it. Idk what’s better about the next one but what I do know is that this one has 10000x better suspension than the 1290 so I wouldn’t know any better 😁 Also add that the only true Dirtbike’s I’ve ever had was a XR80 when I was a kid, a TTR230 that I bought after I graduated and a Yz85 that I had for a short period so this bike is without a doubt WORLDS better than anything I’ve ever owned🤙
I’ll be hitting y’all up for sure! I’ve been eyeing a few things y’all offer and on top of that I appreciate the endless videos and information on the 500! I even watched the entire owners manual video twice before getting my bike and that saved me from not getting all my spare parts!🤙
@@TheKernables thank you! you look taller. maybe being proud of getting the dream lol.. (for anyone interested how they'd look like on top of it, in non-retarded units its 185 cm!)
I am selling my CRF300L Rally today to get a bigger bike. This one is a big contender. Im a big guy at 6'3" 34" inseam and 260lbs. Debating on one of these and the Husqvarna 701 or the Norden 901. Will be a daily commute bike, and go on longer motocamping trips across Texas. Just cant make up my mind yet.
You sound like me! And from my personal experience you’ll need two bikes to do what you want. Good for commuting usually sucks off road and great off road sucks for commuting. If you live really close to work you could commute on the 500 but I personally wouldn’t do it. I feel like the 500 should be enjoyed at its fullest and not burned down running though the day to day. But then again I too a 1290 all kinds of places so a 901/890 setup might work perfect for you, if you can tolerate the weight off road🤙
Take this from a guy that owned a 690 same as the 701 it is not a road bike it’s not a dirt bike it’s so confused it doesn’t do either very well I bought it believing it to be a unicorn and was not I have my cr500 for off road and have a ktm 990 for commuting and adventure riding and I absolutely love the bike getting ready to leave now to go get new tires and ride the rest of the weekend
@@karlbakeriii7415 As an owner of multiple 500s and now a 701, you're correct. That's why my 701 is a SM. It pegs it a little further into the street category, which is appropriate for the extra 80lbs it carries over the 500. Dirt roads are fine, not great. It would never satisfy as a "do it all," if you take riding seriously.
@@gophop you are so correct I live by some big mountains 8-10,000 feet with awesome curvy roads and the 690-701 platforms are superb super Moto very fun and give the sport bike guys headaches lol they carve
@@obsessivehobbies5464 I’m gonna start pulling a trailer but we’re also just burned out from riding the same BORING 1.5-2 hour sections of 2 lanes to get to the trails. Also the ride back was always a major drag so hoping in the Jeep and flicking the AC on will make the ride back from a rough day allot more enjoyable😁
Have you ever rode a 500? Lol. They are very mild and only a few pounds more than a race 450. I enduro mine and track it. It's an amazing do it all bike.
@The Kernables if that. The Torque is unreal but the hit it smooth. It's such a usable power. De-smog and pull off all the blinkers and shit and its 100% a dirtbike. It's miles better offroad compared to my 2016 honda 450R.
I’m not opposed to getting a 500RR-S next. They look sweet and apparently there more uncorked and less restricted from the factory but I do love my pumpkins😅
Excellent. Life is too short to pass on bikes within our means. Ride it like hell! - Frank
Yep! I’d rather through enjoy and have the bike I want vs setting for anything else! And will do!

I also bought a 2023 ktm 500 exc-f six days and I love it. My fmf 4.1 comes in today and hopefully it will make a little more power.
Sweet! I might put a pipe on mine later on but for now I’m enjoying how quiet the exhaust is🤙

I'm happy for you buddy!!! I'm pumped to see what you do on this thing.
Thanks man! I’m so happy with it!
Welcome to the club. Probably the best motorcycle on earth. Mine is 13 years old, rides like new.
Feelin like a kid again! That’s awesome brother!

What was the problem with the cooling system?
I have the same engine and mine is also leaking coolant.
Something about the overpressure?
It was just overfilled. Almost a year later and it hasn’t lost a drop more🤙

Still just as excited! Awesome machine!
got mine a couple of months back, amazing bike man! congrats

I bought the orange one, rode it for 3 weeks, crashed, broke 3 ribs and collapsed my lung. Healed up and back on it 👍🏻
Oooo no! That’s a hell of a “break in”😬

Yea I put a eBay light on mine but the stock 6days seat works good for me especially sense it just get treated like a dirt bike now😅
