- I've decided to see if I can actually make a KTM 500 EXC-F work as a lightweight adventure bike without turning it into a money pit. Will it be better than my trusty WR250R? Will the maintenance be too much hassle? Do you need to even do all the maintenance if it's not doing hard enduro.
I have a 2023 1250RT and a 2020 KTM 500 excf and I think it’s the best of both worlds. Love both bikes.

KTM can we please get the Aussie version EXC sent across the pond to the US please!!

That's me. I have a 2023 BMW R1250 GSA. I have determined after riding it that I want a much smaller bike, so I bought the 2024 KTM 500 EXC-F. I'm not selling the BMW. I like having both bikes. I am 5'-10" tall and I can not flat foot the KTM. It is a tall bike for most men. You are 6 foot so you have a couple inches that allow you to flat foot it. I am on the balls of my feet when I sit on it. It's vibrates a lot! You also better go around checking the bolts after riding it for a few hours. I had the throttle tube bolts come loose and disappear after riding it home from the dealership, which was 46 miles from my house. I am 167 lbs and can tell I need to adjust the sag. I also need to adjust the front shocks. They are so stiff! Need to adjust the compression for sure. Anyways I love the bike. It does so much better on dirt than the BMW (or course).
Dull and low????? Really.... It's amazing with great power to weight ration and very TALL by almost anyone's standards 38 inches seat height unless the Aussie version is somehow lower. Love the colors. That's great that the EU version already have the maps/tc and no evap system
Did it come standard like that or did you have the evap system removed? Our North American bikes come with next to nothing except for being choked off...

EU and Aussie models don't have any restrictions on them
