Nobody with something to lose will ever be for freedom of expression. They might say it but in the end, they want moderation. It's like the Overton-window and everything falling outside of it is taboo, almost per definition. We want to keep the window as wide as possible but the more it shifts to either side it narrows.
It's hypocritical to be against free speech but everything has it's limits, just depends on your values and what stakes you are buying into the system with.

It's so stupid that RUclips needs to be kid friendly, despite having a kids section, like why is it so hard to have a few different tiers of acceptable audiences and then advertisers can choose what tier they want to be on, TV already has the kid unfriendly shows after 9pm and they still get air time and advertising slots. I genuinely have issue with a lot of the politics and other mature subjects (like adult video games with heavy censoring) having what is a essentially a PG rating, but it's the only way for creators to make money, it would be nice if there was a M13, and R16 category for topics that minors shouldn't have to deal with just yet.
it doesn't have to be kid friendly, you just have to appease the advertisers if you want to get paid. You can usually upload almost anything to youtube if you're not looking for money.
It's not yt perse. It's the advertisers, they pay so the creator doesn't have to. It's to be expected with how people get offender by everything. Streamers know it and still they push to the limits

The songs they were protesting are vulgar on the surface but if you actually have a brain, you can hear what is ACTUAL message was. What you probably don't know is that Mr.girl is a pedo in the sense of his desires, before he got popular he was on an stream with Dick masterson and Andy warski way back in the dlive days, he said he liked the girl in the "cuties" movie suggesting sexual desire to fuck one of the girl. He at one point said he was a pedo in that discussion and there was nothing wrong with that, after that he masked his belief and backed off from those claim. You can say it was a joke or whatever he does nowadays but back then it was real. What also got revealed back then is that Mr.girl had a pornhub account with disturbing videoes so the person is not what you would call sane.

Mass reports should leave a particular signature. If there was a true violation of TOS, then the pattern of reports would track the pattern of views, because a certain proportion of viewers would want to report it and that proportion probably wouldn't change drastically over time.
In a targeted mass report, the ratio of reports to views would spike. If this spike also occurs at some time significantly after the upload, that would be particularly telling.
So I was just wondering if YT could and should (or does?) look for that kinda pattern before it automatically bans a video or channel. Or perhaps it could flag those bans to prioritise being reviewed by real people? I don't know what YT's current practices are so I wouldn't be surprised if they've already thought of this and there's a good reason not to or whatever.
This is just a hypothesis but I think the mass flagging works because it is like an emergency eject button to preserve the standing of the big tech company. It doesn't measure whether something breaks the rules or not it measures and responds to outrage. If a big angry mob shows up to yt they will just execute the offender before the mob starts going after yt itself. It satiates the mob before the mob gets too out of control.

The only for of mass reporting I would advocate for is illegal content. For blatant tos violations (IE deliberately doing explicit porn on an 18+ Twitch channel, which isn't necessarily illegal, but completely against platform rules), that is a more hazy area, but if you do so it should NEVER be out of spite or because you just don't like their content. If some one does it out of spite - they absolutely deserve their just apples.

I don't like Mr Girl, his views, his attitude nor the way he speaks and manipulates. I hold no sympathy towards him being deplatformed, but I don't agree with it especially after losing some of my favourite content creators and this dumb keffals situation full of lies.
i liked max’s point ab fascism and sometimes when u don’t know ab history and what it all looks like and it’s packaged in a certain way then u can start to believe things u don’t realize are fascism until after the fact
esp when ur young and in ur formative years which is 100% what nick has said is his target audience - the impressionable stages - and then ur like woah and defensive against it but haven’t done the work to understand what fascism is , u just like the memes (which nick has literally said - “we’re gonna meme our way back into the presidency” etc)
and while nick lately has been encouraging his viewers to elevate themselves by studying or being intellectuals in an innovation sense and using the past as influence - he isn’t one that encourages or believes in the idea of accredited sources (sourcecuck meme), mostly bc he believes those sources are usually intended to indoctrinate one way or the other - he also doesn’t 100% believe in science in the sense that science cannot be dissected from religion - a lot on the right believe in using their “God given intuition” to discern information or way of governing
i would say he follows a straussian mental scape and advocates for a straussian approach to governing / has recommended people to read strauss

friend, I suggest you read Gentile (literally ghostwrote the doctrine of fascism and wrote for Mussolini) and Maurras (was not the fash but set the ground work) if you want to get some grasp on what fascism is - and btw, religion is really not essential to any theory of fascism.

I love mrgirl. I miss mrgirl. The fact he was deplatformed is --- well, makes sense, and ironic, given what he discusses on his platform. It's one of the biggest issues of our time- this inability to abstract think, to empathise, to play, to face, to animal, to human. He wants openness, conversation, love. And it's not allowed, because the average IQ is sub100, so - ofc. Damn.

I think mr girl is great and done a lot of good but I think his attempt to call Nick a nazi is undoing some of that.
@@connecting_flight I'll look for one when I've got some time but I would recommend you look into how IQ is determined. It's revised constantly so that the average is 100, that's the point of IQ. 100 is the baseline average, so that anything above is above average and anything below is below average.

I don't like Mr.Girl's mindreading bullshit but there are tons of practical reasons why nick would wait till he was dictator or whatever the fuck to start actually acting on his beliefs, to do it any earlier would kill his chances of progressing up the power ladder.
@@AntiTheBird, I don’t disagree, but those are unknowable intents. With Trump, while I hated him in during his first run for office because I thought he was a potential constitutional disaster, I have him a chance when he won and found that he rejected heightened power at every turn. He could have sent his forces in for the states to stop the riots, but he left it to the states. He left everything to the states. So for Trump, I got to see him wild power and not abuse it. Which is far more than we know about Nick.
@@JordanAsMaxim I think it'd be better to agree to disagree about Trump as I consider the Jefferey Clark stuff that came out of the 1/6 hearings to be a complete disregard of democracy and the constitution lmao, but I agree on Nick, like I said I hate Mr.Girls mind reading and think it's healthier just to take people at their word usually.
