In fact, in the last year of the original GTO's production, 1974, the GTO model for that year did not look like those from earlier years. In fact, 1974 was the transition period from the muscle car era to the lemon era, and the GTO from 1974 was not nearly as powerful as those of 3 or more years prior.
All these new concept car ideas are basically the same. If they are ever actually river made they should owe money to all those foreign car companies that they are clearly copying. Chevy should already be paying for the Corvette design. Clearly a foreign sports car design. Make it American or don’t make it. I have owned 3 real GTO’s and this thing doesn’t deserve to wear the GTO badge.
