Sorrowful day for me to hear it is the end of an era. The Trans Am has been my love since before I could drive. I was lucky enough to own a 79' TA in my mid twenties and always hoped I could re-capture that again someday. Now with this passing, I have come to realize that this will never come to fruition. A very sad day indeed for me, but I want to thank Trans Am Worldwide for all it did for the Trans Am brand.

I could have them If I jumped from the highest diving platform at the pool, which I never done before. Seeing the cars, I wanted them. I said, give me a minute...ran up the platform and jumped without thinking. I said, they are mine now! best toy I had. Greet memory! My oldest brother does not remember the story, but I never forget. This is where GM failed (again...) at seizing an opportunity for a special version of the Camaro. Why didn't they think of doing this? Make a Camaro, give it the Trans Am traits and make it the one to beat? Again, they let Mopar grab every occasion tey had to build new legends, as they will be remembered and collected down the road as the 60's and 70's classics are today. THAT's how you build an image that is burned into memories of all ages. Kudos To Trans-Am WW for going out and actually do it!

Being a faithful Mustang fanatic, my friends asked one day, if I could never own or drive another Mustang again, what car would I choose? Without skipping a beat my answer was a Trans Am. In 1987 when I was 18 I was lucky enough to come across a 1978 Trans Am with t-tops that was being sold by a college students father due to speeding tickets. It was custom with a 400 ram air IV bored .030 over, B&M transmission, 373 posi gears, oversized hydraulic cam, Edelbrock Torker 2 manifold, hooker headers and a Quadrajet carb. I later added some accessories, different shifter and a 750 CFM Holly carb since the Quadrajet was insufficient for the motor. Lots of fun times cruising and local racing. Man I loved that car.

Remember my uncle had one and riding in the back because my brother or cousin took the front seat. Yeah, it was tight back there but I was young kid back then. Miss those days sometimes.

Brings back memories of my 78 Trans AM, a standard 4 speed 6.6L. Enjoyed the car tremendously specifically as I was in my early 20's. Might be interesting to buy an old one and bring it back to life, hmm an idea to ponder on.

The very first car I drove at the tender age of 11 was a Firebird Formula. I kept begging my aunt to let me drive the car and she raged and threw the keys at me. It was brown and gold and I loved it! I drove it from where she parked it and went up the street and back into the paring lot where the guys were playing football. They were stoked and it made me a neighborhood sensation! hehe...I fell in love with the Trans Am after that. Sleek, powerful and outright nice ride!! I hate this car is no longer being made.

Working in car transport has always been a bucket list item to haul a load of these beauties. Even better if I had a snowman truck and trailer to haul them in!!

Absolutely beautiful! This should be the modern Trans Am. What came after the original was just as shame.

Thank you so much for supporting the Trans community! It is amazing to see representation in the muscle car space in what is traditionally considered a heteronormative white cis space. I hope this car makes an appearance in the new Smokey and the Bandit remake " Drag strip" starring the one and only Sasha Velour and Sigi Moonlight!

I had a 81 Camaro that ran like a scalded dog but it could never look as good as a Trans Am. I had the pleasure of helping a friend of mine rebuild a new engine for his Trans Am while in the Navy and we used a newer 350 that had a throttle body and an amazing cam, lifters and some other great parts in the late 80s. The paint job was perfect and we just protected the body.

The detail you guys go to is truly beautiful, it brings back the one I used to detail in high school, a 78 stick 6.6 turbo trans am , it had the red shift warning bar on the hood vent facing you . The burn outs were stunning and when the customer came to pick it up the last time I detailed it , the wheels were still smoking …. He fired me ….🤣

Absolutely amazing! For your next one do the wheels more original with the deeper mag rims. The more flush mounted rims look more 90s or later. It will give it an even more authentic look.
