bro did not just say running is the most complex sport. I do agree at a high level every sport can get super complicated. But what about sports like soccer where you run and have a ball at your feet and you have to analyze everything that happens around you while running.
That’s odd as I guess maybe it’s better for sports or something but the ultra Apple Watch should outperform the other ones as well as rank well for other features like sleep tracking.
I went from Garmin back to Apple (Ultra II). Sick of having tons of different devices. My Garmin just felt like a massively less functional Apple Watch with a small benefit of better battery life and less weight. I wouldn’t crank a track workout with my Ultra, but I wouldn’t crank a track workout with any watch regardless. Annoying additional app too. Plus the Ultra means: no phone on runs (running with phones should be illegal), plays music with any Bluetooth headphones, can make calls and text if I need to, medical ID if I get hurt, satellite SOS if I really need it, built in maps functionality, the list goes on. So I have to charge it once every 36ish hours, oh well.

I'm a college athlete (20 yr old d1 ncaa runner) and I use the forerunner 35. Yup, the 90-100 buck watch with no bells and whistles. Advice to new runners, don't get roped into expensive shit that doesn't mean anything.
I use an Apple Watch through whole day and in runs and it has never died. The max runs I do are 8 miles so unless ur doing marathons I don’t think u will have a problem with Apple Watch. Maybe ur Apple Watch was outdated or something
I use the Apple Watch and I totally agree, I’m thinking of getting a different watch for running, my Apple Watch is the Nike SE but it doesn’t always count the distance right, like a 5k park run it will say 4.8, and I tested it against other watches and I got 40 second different averages for 200m
YESSS. if you are looking for fitness tracking, the apple watch is SO unnecessary . i dont need a phone in my wrist, i need a tracker. ty, i'll try to find the coros pace for myself
I’ve never had a problem with my SE 2nd Generation battery. If it’s above 30% before my run it’ll last a 10k minimum while playing music to AirPods Pro.
I've had three different models of apple watch ( 3, 4, 7 ) and not one of them could play music and last through a 5 mile run on 30% battery. Hold onto that watch, it's one of a kind.
Good point. Apple Watches are amazing, but not specifically for runner. Apple Watches are targeted at a vast amount of customers. Although many sports people use it, people who don’t do sports can use it as well. However, if you’re looking for a watch specifically for sports (in this case, running) then you’re better off buying an actual fitness watch like a Fitbit or one used here
yep, apple watch has too many unnecessary features for runners. i used a series 3 for about three years and finally got a garmin. tracks runs (can calibrate it for accurate track distance and treadmill distance), tracks sleep, tells you how many calories you can eat, and most accurate gps.

my watche run for about 14 days normally and about 10 days of 24/7 usage.
I like the Apple Watch Ultra for battery life. I only use it on runs and it’s pretty much an iPod so I can run without a bunch of shit and still have music.
I'm a college athlete (20 yr old d1 ncaa runner) and I use the forerunner 35. Yup, the 90-100 buck watch with no bells and whistles. Advice to new runners, don't get roped into expensive shit that doesn't mean anything.
I got the garmin forerunner 55.
I use an Apple Watch through whole day and in runs and it has never died. The max runs I do are 8 miles so unless ur doing marathons I don’t think u will have a problem with Apple Watch. Maybe ur Apple Watch was outdated or something
How and where do
You install that app for this watch ?
garmin or coros for a newer runner?
See if you can stick to running first, then get a watch
@@rgmALC good advice. I started in early february. my short term goal is to do a half marathon. I just hit 10 miles last week so im improving

Generally curious what do people do with all that data except for sharing a picture on your social media of where people may find you during your run?
I use the Apple Watch and I totally agree, I’m thinking of getting a different watch for running, my Apple Watch is the Nike SE but it doesn’t always count the distance right, like a 5k park run it will say 4.8, and I tested it against other watches and I got 40 second different averages for 200m
YESSS. if you are looking for fitness tracking, the apple watch is SO unnecessary . i dont need a phone in my wrist, i need a tracker. ty, i'll try to find the coros pace for myself
I use the pace 2. I love the customization features like making workout and choosing what data to have during your workouts.
Does it connect to music?
No
Good point. Apple Watches are amazing, but not specifically for runner. Apple Watches are targeted at a vast amount of customers. Although many sports people use it, people who don’t do sports can use it as well. However, if you’re looking for a watch specifically for sports (in this case, running) then you’re better off buying an actual fitness watch like a Fitbit or one used here
Had a garmin fenix 6 pro for over 4 years…. Battery life still amazing
I use a series 9 Apple Watch, when I run a 10k it goes down to around 90-95% battery.
yep, apple watch has too many unnecessary features for runners. i used a series 3 for about three years and finally got a garmin. tracks runs (can calibrate it for accurate track distance and treadmill distance), tracks sleep, tells you how many calories you can eat, and most accurate gps.
Trust me, the Fitbit versa light has worse battery life than the Apple Watch💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
How’s the battery life
Yessir I’m rockin with the pace 2!
Can you do Apple Watch vs. garmin forerunner 245
Should i get the Coros Pace 2 or Garmin Forerunner 55?
Apple watch series 9
@ I already have the apple watch 9
Bat problem probably cuz of not charging it at night, mine be around 50-40 after using it all day
Personally, I own a Fitbit Verse Lite. It works very well!!! Though, the battery dies often
what do y’all think of the forerunner 55 ?
You should try the Apple Watch Ultra if it’s in your budget
