- The most beloved argument against gender inequality is that women and men are stated as equals in the Constitution of Armenia. However, the actual discrimination is manifested every day on social and cultural levels. Alina Sanamyan, a law student, talks about discrimination that women go through in different circles of their lives and introduces a more realistic grasp on discriminatory practices in Armenia. Alina is studying law at French University in Armenia.
She does not love seeing people unmotivated. She is interested in traveling in order to discover new places, new cultures.
She believes words are powerful, so she tries to express only positive ideas to succeed. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
Really liked the quote about the only prison we can never escape 🧡
Well done 👏
Thank you!❤️
The speech is so true...I don't know that others might do.But if this type of discrimination goes on with me I would surely turn into Harley Quinn someday....
True!!
Thank you for highlighting such important matter and speaking up for all of us.
My pleasure dear❤️
Great job dear Alina 👏
Thank you Tyom jan!!
Soo proud of you!! 🥰
Love you❤️
proud of you Alina❤️
Love you ❤️❤️
I was hoping that this talk somehow tied into the gender-equality paradox which shows that differences in men and women are actually maximized as you get societies that are more egalitarian. Or in other words societies that are less and less like what was described in this talk. So yes this stuff exists, but no, those environmental factors do not account for all the differences we see in the outcomes of men and women.
✨✨✨✨, Wunderbar
🥰🥰 Vielen Dank!!
