Best way to get the diff bushings out is to use a hole saw to remove the center part then use a sawzall and cut a slot in the outer ring, then they come right out.
Hey good work still, you did not complete what you where trying to do but you did still get some things done still, don't let it get you down keep up the good work.
I got a 99 eclipse 2.0L 4 cylinder non turbo and i wanna know what kinda transmission is compatible with it the one i got in is going out so i need to replace it but idk
Hi Miguel, subscriber here. First off all cheers from Portugal man, you’re doing a great job in one of my favorite cars in the world and I really hope you succeed in what is also a dream of mine. That said, I’m writing also to ask you or someone with knowledge of these cars some advice about the engines. I own a 97 eclipse gs which I bought with a broken engine (crankshaft). Recently I got my hands in an older Plymouth Laser that came with the 4g63 but it’s a 6 bolt instead of a 7 bolt. Can I succeed in using the older engine in my 97 GS? What do I need to do? I don’t have a lot of finance to be able to ask some good shop to make it work for me and I’m battling through it with all the differences between the engines. Can anyone give me some advice on this matter?
The 6 bolt swap is very common the newer Eclipses. If you have the non turbo model then you can’t. I recomend checking out Dsmtuners, that’s where all the info for the swap is at
Thank you Miguel, I will check that one there my man. Do you have like a quick tip on why I can’t do it with the non turbo version before I go check dsmtuners?
You are Probably the only one that can best answer this question, I am about to evo swap my eclipse gs is it better to awd swap it first then move the evo engine in later or do it all at once?
Hey man, I have a 1999 GS Eclipse and want to the 4G63T swap. I’m not mechanically inclined but I live in the I.E as well and would like your help. I can pay as well.
Go figure. Another good video lol. Great job! You seriously got me wanting a 2g very bad! I just sold me Evo IX about 2 months ago so I have the itch to replace it.
Every time I hear someone say . I will go to home depot or lowes for bolt I cringe . Head over to Rainbow bolt and get the right grade of bolt . On main st in Riverside .
Billet cover and solid bushings.... ur evo engine pushes more power than stock would originally on the these years differential cover is our biggest weak point

Good to know 👍🏼

Damn you beat me to it. A friend of mine also just melt the rubber bushings off and cut the outer ring as well. Basically same thing. Cut it lol
Please include the sub frame and fuel tank bolt size

Evo4-6 are either 3.5 or 3.9 for the rs
If I recall the transfer case gear ratio for evos 4-6 is a 3.312
Are the gst good because I was thinking of buying one as a project
They are. You just need to take care of all the maintenance when you buy it
I had a 97 gst, sold it when i hit 200k. Still ran like and drove like a champ. Would buy another one too
Great video bro! ... Your going to probably have to burn those bushings out of the subframe..get the fire ready 😁
😫😫😫
Hole saw is MUCH faster/easier and less messy

That rear diff doesn't come on all gsx's does it? Mine is a 98 manual and don't remember seeing those letters on mine.
No this one is specific to the auto lsd Gsx. If I recall they all have a sticker with different markings. Maybe yours faded away over time?
Bruhh plz what are your wheel and tire specs ?
They are fresh AF
Why you choose the evo 8 engine and not the 6.5 evo engine?
The Evo 8/9 engine is easier to get in the us. I’m starting to see more jdm importers bring in evo 4-6 engines though
You are Probably the only one that can best answer this question, I am about to evo swap my eclipse gs is it better to awd swap it first then move the evo engine in later or do it all at once?
I've heard 95-96 rear knuckle have less wheel clearences compare to the redesigned 97-99 ones. Good video by the way !
Shooty01 hopefully not! Car runs aggressive wheels haha
@@MiguelDsm I see! It's interchangeable if that's the case! Good luck
Still a fire vid🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!

Thank you 🙏🏻
can you eventually make a full list of all the parts needed to sawp it to awd
Gotcha 🤙🏼

Thanks! You shouldn’t have sold the evo! They’re completely different cars

Bro upgrade your differential internals now that its off
Billet cover and solid bushings.... ur evo engine pushes more power than stock would originally on the these years differential cover is our biggest weak point
Dont plan on pushing the car too much. Removing the diff isn’t to hard anyways if it ever came to replacing it
Pls ride tbe eclipse more often! Come on, we can see Its a very good car but we want to listen to It!
I clicked on this video “real quick”
Thanks boo 😘
NICE CAR! I LIKE JAPONESE CARS!
Thanks!
