I will never buy a Mopar product like these. If it’s not a V8 I’m not buying… period.
Go to the dealership and get yourself a new 2023 Challenger or Charger while supplies last and before they are gone forever.
I could not agree with you more about driving our v8 Mopar’s. Every time I turn my Hellcat or Redeye on they turn me on. I’m never letting go.
If you ain’t letting go, some hood folks will surely snatch it from you.
same with my 5.7 hemi ram truck
🐈🐈🐈
To be fair once you get walked a few times by AWD 670hp in a car thats almost 6000lbs… you might think twice lol not as a replacement but as a faster version for when you want to smack down the Tesla plaid crowd
Be careful who follows you. Blackout tinting owner just had his stolen over the past weekend. Insurance continues to climb past $250+
I refuse to buy any of this ev crap…..Glad I got my 21 scat will keep it forever with a crate engine waiting in the fridge 😂😂😂😂😂
Crate engine chilling 😂
Love It!!! That's how I feel about my Redeye, I'll gladly save up and snatch up a D170 motor and sit that bitch on ice & drive the shit outta my stock 6.2 in the meantime.
@@LSp8 I hear ya.if this regime doesn't get booted out in November. These commies will attack and try to ban the aftermarket and all classic and antique cars.
Dodge just put the final nail in their coffin. Kuniskis has shown that he's utterly incapable of running a performance car company. Dodge is DEAD.
Dodge is not a performance car company. Lamborghini is Ferrari. Is Ferrari is Dodge is a car company that sells all types of cars. They just so happened. To come out with these big motor cars. Because when the first 5.7 l challenger came out and I was dumb enough to go and purchase one. And I was getting my doors blown off from light to light and I traded it for a Ford Mustang. GT. That is the only reason Dodge even started doing this so that they could compete with Ford. And Chevy dodges in the business of making. Do you forget that they also make a truck? They also make a Dooley truck. It's fully truck. It is not a performance car company. It is just a car company.
Ok...then Kuniskis doesn't know how to run a car company. Does that help?
He's ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about those ugly ass TESLA'S!! they stay in the fast lane doing 45 MPH.I HATE THOSE UGLY ASS ELECTRIC CARS
Got behind so many of those on the way to Sedona from Vegas. Stupid lol
Scooting by them in our loudass gas guzzling 4Runner lol
There’s something extra frustrating being stuck behind an 11 second Tesla going slow
It’s not even that it’s ugly they don’t have real V8 engine noise it’s just not the same and it weighs 6,000lbs
As the owner of a 69 1/2 A12 Super Bee I'm appalled that they put the Six Pack name on a 6 cyl Hurricane. Real Mopar guys are going to laugh at these. Bad move Tim. Six Pack badging for a 6 cyl turbo twinky. Get real.
Tim doesn't resonate with me anymore. What a fucking joke.
Agreed 100% brother
Hackers are going to have a field day on these new Charger EVs 😂😂😂😂
Don’t car thieves already hack Chargers?
@@shlidgn90climate change bullshit is a hoax.....have fun eating bugs
Don’t nobody want this bs this EV Charger is 6,000lb and slow 130mph don’t nobody want that EV bs and they’re ugly 🤣🤣🤣
If your car has a computer, they can hack it
I guess at least there's the "Six Pack" option but still it will never replace the hemi..
Just buy a wrecked hellcat and swap the damn thing.
It’s not a option it weighs 6,000lbs you take the battery out it’s 3,800lbs add the inline 6 engine and it makes it 4,241lbs. That’s literally what Hellcats and Scatpack weigh right now do what was the purpose of making these new cars you could’ve just stuck to the same chassis it weighs the exact same. Then the inline 6 engine is too damn heavy BMW’s engine weighs 300lbs and has the same transmission as Hellcats the 8 speed which makes the car 3,800lbs. Why did Dodge make the Hurricane engine so heavy it’s fking inline 6 not a V8??? Dodge has lost their minds with entire new lineup you’re not beating any BMW M340is or Toyota MK4 Supras with that Hurricane Engine. They made it as heavy as a V8 and so what if it makes a lot of tunable horsepower there us better option in BMW’s B58 inline 6 engine that’s much light a hundred pounds lighter. Also did I mention it’s a fking BMW which means the car is more luxurious than a Dodge interior too and these cars will cost the same do you see how much a Jeep wagoneer cost that’ll give you the pricing on that inline 6 car. I’ve heard the R/T base price will be $60K and the Hurricane Six Pack makes even more horsepower so it’ll be around $70K.
I disagree dodge will suck ass once the v8 is gone. Nobody wants an electric or v6 “muscle car” and it’s ugly as hell.
I'll take a V6 from them
There’s no such thing as a V6 anymore my dude it’s a i6 now, and I’m not sure who no body is cuz the v6 charger and challenger outsells the hellcats and scats all day I’m pretty sure people would want it other then the EV
@@LSRG-YT--LandonSRobloxGamingThen get the Pentastar Dodge Charger and Challenger GT they have a V6 for you already the Inline 6 is a not worth it at all BMW has a way better lighter and faster Inline 6 for the same price and it’s more luxurious it’s a BMW
@@XileH that’s because they can’t afford the real deal. Or it’s a woman driving them.
Do not trade yours beatiful car.
Don’t you do it either
Brad...great video. After watching the Dodge reveal and then this video, I went out to the garage and looked at my 2022 Charger Hellcat Redeye in GoMango...and I just smiled ear to ear!
I did exactly the same thing except 21' Redeye Pitch Black / carbon stripes❤, I can't wait til its paid off (along with the 23' 300C next to it)
I totally know how you feel about looking at the car and having it make your day better. I have a widebody shaker 6m, and just knowing it's there is truly therapeutic. Plus, Dodge will never offer a manual trans ever again. Love the content. Never sell the Swinger!
Everything you say is spot on with me as well
Great video, "Like cooking a burger in the microwave". Well said! 👏👏👏
Excellent analogy! 💯
The Dodge video currently has 11,000 dislikes to 8,500 likes.
Whoops! lol. No one wants that ev 🐂 💩
As it should 🔥🔥🔥
If they want to sell these Hurricanes they need to price them at $30K. If they are $50-80K then they will rust alongside the Hornets. And the only EV's they will sell will be to the idiots who want to put them into storage as an investment.
Rust alongside the hornets lol
OC, you are the man! Thanks for all of your content!
It's an exciting car, like the muscle cars from fifty years ago - and they are STILL exciting. I feel the same way every time I see my Challenger R/T in my driveway, I never get tired of seeing them on the road while I'm driving mine. I love the cold start, love listening to it with the window down, that will never get old.
no thanks i will pass on these cars
Great video. And congrats on going viral, and even making the CarEdge channel! Preach, brother! ❤
Thanks dude! And keep up the great work on your channel! Loving the tech vids!
I completely agree with you regarding the driving experience of the V8 Challenger. It is something you really can’t describe. It is just very pleasurable fun driving experience that can’t be matched by anything else.
Many Smiles per gallon every time . Thank you for your thoughts and content.
I don’t trust my phone to stay alive below 10% power. I’d be sweating while driving an EV at that level.
These will sell well to the cops and rental fleets once they’re forced to do a price cut due to lack of sales. The EV will sell essentially 0 and I can’t see many private people actually paying money for a mopar without a v8
Oof, the cops will NEVER be able to catch anyone with these. Lol. The top speed for the R/T is 137mph and the Scat is 134mph and they weight 6k pounds. 😂
Geeze who is going to repair all the roads I'd that's the new norm foe weight. Will they need a cdl to drive lol
I’m guaranteeing it now ppl are going to get those inline 6 chargers and either tune it or put a hellcat engine in it
Even tuned it's a small European engine that won't last like American iron.
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see some Hellcat crate engines replacing the 6cyl crap. I personally don't care for the looks though.
You cannot put a hellcat engine in a car as computerized as this and have everything work right. It’s not like swapping a 305 to a 350 in an old Chevrolet. Plus emissions laws outlaw it too
@@85fordman you may be right I didn’t think about that, but I still believe someone is going to get the incline6 charger and try to hellcat swap it
They can HC swap it for racing…Or just illegal cruising. 🤙
I agree with you on the styling. Most people say it’s ugly but I think it has a really nice retro-futuristic style to it that looks a lot more than the original Charger.
BRAD...your material is handsdown better then all of them
I agree with you Brad 100%, EVs not practical.
Freedom, anybody without being burned🔥more than once.... good buy dodge.
So glad i got my used scat pack last year. Yes the EV's will be faster but nothing beats that v8 rumble and smile it puts on your face.
No Electric for me. I bought a GR Corolla and A Type R. Both Raw as can and manual 6 speed. 93 octane and turbo fun
New call 2025 charger electric special edition only 350k over msrp free oil change for live call dealers for details thanks for your videos no electric for me😅😅😅😅
Great takes! On this one, to your earlier points, if they made the 3.0TT engine with a manual, that would make me a potential buyer. They said the gas engines won’t be until 2025, as they said the EV ones would drop this summer if I’m reading it correctly. The pricing is a dif story, it’ll be ugly I’m sure. I am hoping this will drop the new / semi used stock prices of a 6spd challenger wide body like I’m looking for, down to manageable levels to get one. Right now, Ohio see few slim bodies at 42-45k finally brand new! Like 75% of the experience is the manual trans to me in a muscle car so it’s what I’m after.
I'm a member of 2 Challenger forums. Both normally have Dodge news posts within hours of Dodge news release. This AM crickets. Love Tim but think his schtick has runs it's course. Really enjoyed your description of your excitement while driving your Scat Pack, I have a very similar feeling.
I think they should have created a hybrid version, improve MPG, new interior… best of both worlds IMO
100% agree with this!
The first electric car was in the 1830 and the first push button car was in the 1912. So all this is not new
1. Agree with first two minutes of video word for word 💯 💯
2. This time will be known as the Failed Electric Car Experiment of the 21st Century.
3. The turbo small engine trend being crammed down our throats by manufacturers right now can only go in one of two directions: cars get much smaller and lighter, or the reintroduction of a V8. I’m not a buyer of tiny engine-big car and never will be. It only benefits the manufacturers who are using less material to build an engine with too much stress and too little power.
Does anyone have any information about a manual transmission option for the hurricane engine in these cars?
Obviously I’m not interested in anything electric, but the hurricane does have serious potential. I just can’t bring myself to buy an automatic.
I would definitely consider that car with a manual. I heard you can tune that engine for 700+ hp.
Manuals are dead. If you don't want an auto ever again you won't be buying a car in the future except a mustang.
I will be laughing as I dive by with my 22 challenger SP seeing new EV's at the charging stations. I'll keep my Hemi for ever.
I agree 100% with you!
Nailed it. Also no manual option on the hurricane, come on Dodge.
Respectfully disagree. Tim Kuniskis is the death of Dodge. He's not a "car guy" he is an CEO and a marketer trying to sell you on a failing product. He answers to the mother ship Stellantis. I think they will make a good possibly a killer v6 but only time will tell.
Absolutely. Comparing him to Jim Farley for example, Tim gives off the car salesman vibe.
I think eventually a v6 tt hybrid kicking out 1000hp plus !!
He's the most car guy CEO I've ever seen. But yes, but yes he answers to the mothership, which has no choice but to. If it was up to him, I have no doubt we'd still have V8's. He's doing the best he can with what he's got.
Miss my scat...
What will the exhaust sound like on the hurricane? Won't sound like a V8 Hemi
Nah I'll pass on both of them. I actually don't think it looks good. The Challenger and Charger isn't the fastest nor is it the best handling cars, that isn't what they're supposed to be. They put a smile on our face, it's makes us feel like a 10 year old. From a R/T to a Redeye, it's the noise and how they act. I don't care what they do to a 6cyl it's not going to be the same, not at all. Is it for some, yes. Is it for me and others like me, no.
No hemi, no dodge. No matter how much power a hemi has, that's a hemi, a V8, a living thing can make you happy.
Im 💯 there with you. There’s a LOT of people who have the same feelings
I’m a hard no for any socialist EV. Full stop.
More like communist EVs.
socialist ? 😂😂😂 i don't fancy EVs either but jesus christ politics are frying yall brains 😭😭
Huh?
@@y2tnb I was thinking the same thing. Why do people have to make everything about politics? What if a person simply doesn’t want to spend $4/gal for gas anymore? The internet is really going to be humanity’s downfall.
Being ignorant will be humanity's downfall
Dodge hits the final nail in their coffin. RIP.... And it is heart breaking to see those muscle cars going away.
I could care less about the ev's, but I am highly interested in the high output Sixpack.
One thing I'm curious about is the weight and the price of the gas variant. If it's at a good weight and price it could compete with BMW's M3 and M4 competition which only have 503 HP.
Yep. Good point. 👍
Definitely brother. I love my 23 WB 392 B5 BLUE. 467MILES in. I can relate. Everytime i see my car and get in and drive it is definitely therapeutic
Every woman needs to watch the first 2 minutes of this video to understand the love men have for their cars. Couldn’t have described it better lol every time I see my satin black wrapped scat pack with the gloss black rims my day is instantly better lol
Tim puts on a hell of a show. Cop car…took the words right out of my mouth.
I feel you man!! I love driving my V8 Hemi Durango!!
Good take on this compared to other videos I’ve seen. I don’t see anyone trading in their V8s for these. I’m good with my mine. The 6 pack may be good as a daily but I’m not fully sold on the hype.
I am right there with you, OC. aka Sitting in meetings thinking about driving my Challenger and the visceral feeling of driving that big V8. No matter how rotten the day, I cannot help but smile when driving that car. I also drive EVs for work and while I enjoy the acceleration in them, nothing else about them brings me joy. The anxiety of trying to find somewhere to charge them is real. We will see what the new ICE V6 TT with AWD can do when it comes out.
I wouldn’t get rid of any hellcat or redeye for any EV especially when we know the price is going to be TGDH plus dealer markups….smh
I’ve heard the RT will be around 60,000… imagine what the scat pack and banshee are going to cost.
One more question Brad, did you sell or trade the Demon 170?
No replacement for displacement!
Agreed! For the last 4 years I've had to travel about 40min on the HWY to work in my Scat Pack Shaker and it always puts a smile on my face when I'm walking up to it after work is priceless
I'm glad there is a gas option but I don't really like the looks of the new Chargers
I never thought of that but you're 100% right that is going to be the next cop car no doubt about it like you said some lights plastic seat in the back and keeping it up a little bit with cheaper wheels that'll be hooking up people in anytime
I got a 23 GT charger so from 300HP to 420 HP is a huge upgrade for me if I were to trade in for the six pack Charger 4 door not to mention it’s got the classic Look back it’s awesome! Big win atleast for that option but I do remember them saying they had a possible output of 1000hp from that same inline 6 so maybe they’ll do a SRT version of the 6 down the line! I’m pretty sure they’ll sell more of the 6 then the EVs making them their main income to R&D a new 6 or V8 down the line hope for the best!
Same here thinking of trading my v6 challenger for the i6 charger
@@talonhawthorne5587 it’s a real struggle because as I have this GT 23 I’m also saving up to get a challenger RT to have maybe hopefully the engine is easy to plug and play with old models
In your last video, that defender a new one u just got ? The pink wrap makes me unsure.
I totally agree it keeps the stress levels down
Your therapy Mopar is well expressed in your comments! Same with me, need horsepower not kilowatts!
I think the same way. Over 30 years of information technology.... cant wait to get out to work to drive my scatpack too! I totally understand and can relate too!!! 2015 Dodge Charger RT Road & Track is keeper, my other 2023 Dodge Challnger Scatpack is a keeper... I dont want nothing else.
they should of made a beefy v8 hybrid engine at the last instead of a full on ev crap box
Great video and I 100% agree. Also, I agree I couldn't sale my Hellcat for what they offer; I mean I just can't do it. The car isn't bad looking at all. Also with 335 factory REAR ties, its for sure will be wide. If ford can keep a V8 in their mustang, I don't see why Dodge can't follow suit. I don't see these offerings as the product line they will need to "save" Dodge. IF this is all that will be given, I just don't see how they can keep current doge customers.
Not feeling it either, not the same as when the Challenger came out.... The interior is nice.
Very well said!!!!!
Couldn't agree more Brad! I've owned a bunch of vehicles and my Dodge Durango is far from the fastest I've owned, but it puts SUCH a smile on my face when I drive it. The X5M...not so much, but boy oh boy does this massive v8 house with wheels warm my heart! I'll get to my destination slower than a Tesla driver (if it's a short trip ⚡️) but I'll have the bigger smile on my face! 😁
That’s awesome how happy that car makes you 🖤
Awesome Challenger 👍, so sad that Dodge is doomed without a V8
Great video
Like Paul Walker said: "Life's too short to drive boring cars.."
Btw- You got a sweet Lime Challenger, I've always loved the shaker hoods on the E-bodies Challenger/ Cudas from the 70's. I was happy Chrysler brought it back when the challengers came back. 🤟🏼
I feel you same way love my Hellcat love the look of it makes me smile. Then driving it so therapeutic absolutely love it. I never imagined 757 horse power could be so economical and easy to drive. Dodge definitely had their niche and Stellantis cuffed Tim and killed the company.
I believe ole Tim could sell a box of condems to a Nun.😂 Let the 24s rot on the lots. Atleast in 25 we can hear the fart can version of the challenger. You guys better keep your Hemi powered cars bc you truly have the best years of rhese cars.
Hey - I need some major help. I got a manufacturing defect SCatPack 2023 that Dodge refuses to replace or buy back. Can you help please? How do i contact you?
He didn't reply to you. I don't think he will because that would be too helpful.
@@smartguy6243 well let me give him sometime. We’ll conclude after a few days.
Stellantis wants the Chrysler division to die, it's going to die. They take the best product and don't replace it with viable models, it's going to die. The question is how long as they going to drag it out? Perhaps they just need a tax write-off. But with the price they paid it would seem like selling it would take it off their balance sheets.
Well said. This is just something we’re going to have to wait n see.
Well They did confirmed that the Challenger while indeed retiring it's not stay that way forever and may comeback sometime later this gen.
I agree with you 1 million % Brad. The PURE pleasure and fantastic feeling I get out of my F8 Green Swinger is not matched by anything else out there.
TOP SPEED 135 mph on this new electric machines?. Imagine a teenager kicking your ass by passing you on the highway with his old beat up Honda Civic with a big ass ridiculous muffler tip just because your BRAND NEW electric car tops out at 135 mph. Freaking embarrassing. Oh man! Go get yourself a 2023 Challenger/Charger while they still last at the Dealerships.
An EV, AWD and subwoofer exhaust is objectively not a muscle car. I refuse to ever spend on 80-100k before taxes, registration, warranty and you know it's coming mark-up for a an overpriced Plaid
Dude I don't care if they make a V8 with only 100 horsepower like a 1981 turbo Trans AM just to pass emissions. Just please...please...give us a V8 option.
Finally, someone that isn't an idiot. All wheel drive, 550hp, lighter, better interior, etc, etc, etc... Maybe I'm weird because I came from the Buick Grand National as my favorite sedan and then a slew of Pontiacs before I tried Dodge. Frankly, I waffled between the Alfa Romero Guilia, the Audi S5, and Challenger Scat Pack before settling on Dodge. I don't really care about a "big V8", I want a fun and interesting car. That's why I'm on my third Challenger right now (22 Scat Pack). If Dodge can address all of the negatives that came with buying a Challenger and keep the fun, I'm all for it. Now I'm praying for a manual version of the HO !
OC Motivator Great Video I definitely agree that Dodge's New Upcoming EV's Probably won't sell very well and that the New Hurricane Scatpacks and going to be pretty awesome and I definitely agree that there should be a Hellcat equivalent
Hopefully the current models drop in price after these come out later this year
Doubt it. People will probably want them even more after this crap releases. Hopefully they become more reasonable with pricing atleast.
I wish they would have made the back glass like it was in the 1968- 69- 70 Charger. Have it inset. When I turn 16 My first car was a 1968 Charger I loved that car. It was in 1980.
How does the Halcyon fit into all this?
As for this car I'm gonna get the Inline 6 2 door model and test it out, if I don’t like it, then I'm most likely gonna build my own hemi block and swap out the inline. It's cool that they confirmed you can turn off the awd and switch it to a rwd and the legendary 6pack name is back from the 70s line of cars
I love my mines too 193 over all problems gone away ❤
I’m all in on the six pack next year. As soon as my current lease is up in Feb, I’m ordering.
They will speed limit that hurricane just like the evs. The scat has a lower limit then the ev RT does. So until you can eventually tune it out. Even those sales will suffer.
You are a 1000% correct
I like them, the 4 door is HUGE. I could go with ether the EV or the Hurricane, we'll see, I'm leaning towards EV
Plus one for the inline twin turbo 6. Not a v8 but beats the EV hands down.
Great analogy it's like coking a burger in a microwave it doesn't taste the same doesn't feel the same.
I commute from LA to Vegas often and having to stop at Eddie World to charge an EV for 30 minutes is an eternity of highway time. No, thank you. Plus, roaring down the open desert highway in my big V8 muscle car is pure Americana and a feeling like no other.
They did themselves a huge favor keeping a sedan version. And yes I think the police market is going to light on fire for those cars.
They will sell a ton of the ice vehicles as long as the dealers don’t screw it up. Dealer management needs to happen now!
