I was expecting to see someone being pulled around on a sled or something. 🤣🤣 AWESOME work guys! 👍🏼 Tell your brother we are ready for a update video on scrappy. 😁
This is just awesome!! Fun to see people that love their work. You included On a side note, I'm glad to see you are OK with what appears to be most of your bones. Stay safe!!!
THE CARPENTER DAD channel is all about everything from Work life to Family life to Faith life. I’ve been a “consumer” of youtube for many years and we are now trying to give back to the community through sharing our lives. Thanks you guys for sharing all your passions with all of us. Great job your doing on ALL your projects,it’s very interesting how you take the time to explain the steps you take to accomplish you parts for the aircraft, something I might suggest how we have in 25 years of composite tooling did composites( you may already do this but I haven’t noticed it) We always keep the grain on the composite rotating on the layers and had to document them for later reference,we start at 0 next layer 45 degree, next layer 90 degrees,it removes the memory of the composite, plaster is your friend when you are building parts like your duct where you used wood and body putty, you could have filled it with plaster and it would be safe.keep up the great work, get Draco back in service.👍
Love a great working environment!!!! Thank you for posting good things that happen in life!!!! Love your impromptu videos!!!! Happy New Year to you and your family and all your employees!!!!!!
That's awesome. You guys are the coolest guys. I respect them so much for being crazy hard workers, being crazy rich and still be so down to earth. So inspiring. If there were a contest held for the most bad ass people in America they would win year after year and not even change anything.
That’s what happens when great people hire great people. Get shit done and have fun doing it. What a wonderful boss. So sad they are so far and few between. Love ya Mike. PS. What’s going on with Scrappy Can’t wait for the next update
I love you and Mike's videos. I'm a teenager that has been amazed by aviation all my life. I was the weird kid that mad a radio control paper airplane at 12 years old from broken rc airplane parts. I also recently placed 6th in a national competition with a model glider. I live close to you guys and I would love to come visit if you guys have any free time.
Hey Mark. I was just watching you take your buddies old tug in and gave him the newest one that’s out. So you then said hey let’s go out in the shop where you proceeded to make sure everyone was wearing safety glasses. Ok a little background. I run a large fab shop that builds a lot of high end store fronts Gucci, Tiffany, YSL, and many others. It was cool to see you hand out safety glasses and then to see your busy shop. Then came your fab shop and not sure waterjet or laser jet machine did not look real close .Man oh man the ceiling in that fab room needs to be opened up and some descent ventilation put in there. I know you guys do everything first class so that did throw me a bit. Also for as busy as you guys are I’m thinking there is a ton of fab/ welding going on in that tiny room. It looked like you had 4 or 5 guys working in about a couple hundred square foot area. Probably perfect and more than enough space for fab when you first started the tug bus. Anyway you guys are far above my level and all that good stuff but honestly you’ve way outgrown that fab area and I’m sure you realize that. Also though you gotta take care of those guys health .Im really kinda surprised you let them film that part of the shop with as tight and non ventilated that it is. So yeah I get it if you mumble fuck you as you’re reading this but also I’m sure you are smart enough to know everything I just mentioned . Those guys in that fab shop deserve a healthy place to work in though. That’s your front line. Cheers and love watching all the cool stuff you and your brother get into. RIP Draco 😢
Tim Scott you are so right, we out grew that building a year ago. Sadly the new building construction has been WAY over expected finish date. Good news is, the new factory gets its final inspection today and we all get the have some room to work and breathe. 👍
So glad your ok buddy, happy new year to you and your family, love out the blue videos, your staff are having too much fun at work 😂😂 hows scrappy doing Mike, update soon? Best wishes from across the pond 😉🛩🇬🇧🇺🇸😜
G’day Mark & Co, OMG you have a best tug called Romeo, perhaps you could launch it on Valentine’s Day to all the perspective Juliets.... Tug races championships, check your fire extinguishers! Great teamwork, back to play/ work.... lol Many blessings with much love light joy fun happiness laughter play adventures, may peace be with you all, Victoria Australia xoxo
Have you ever thought about doing a Tug for cars and trucks? Working at a dealership we sometimes have to pull, push, slide cars into and around the shop. We usually use a floor jack and a battery powered pusher. If there was something out there that incorporated both together, it would be a big hit. Maybe something to hold onto the rear differential or front cross-member frame lifting the drive wheel up(which may not be operable at the time) and then power it into or around the shop.
Obviously the kid in you is also in your employees!! 😄 That particular tug needs to be sold to someone who would get a kick out of getting a copy of the footage as an unexpected bonus.
Mark I have a question about the zenith 801 you built, I'm considering building one myself and I'm curious do you think it would be a good build for a first time builder first time flyer? Also what power plant did you use? I figure mine may not turn out to be quite as pretty as yours was because I'll be building it in a garage in Alaska but who knows.
Hey Mike, I see your new product uses multiple Anderson Power Poles. Not sure who your supplier is but I bet I can get them cheaper. Great looking product! Cheers!
So how does this work IRL? An airport staff walks the plane all the way holding the remote? Or is it controlled by the pilot from the cockpit (assuming he then just presses the 'home' button and the tug returns autonomously...)?
😂😂😂 I know when I was in the RV industry we had something similar but not nearly as well polished or capable as this appears for travel trailers and fifth wheels!
"Loosing" dinner ? Looks like typical "all-nighter" engineering, without "losing" dinner, coffee, or, even, engineering time ;-) actually, with all-nighters, we usually sneak out at 01:00 to the nearest/best all-night breakfast place ;-) thanks for sharing this dedicated engineer's work!
Mark I just watch you and Mike do a new years thing and I did not know you had a channel. I really just found out about the twin brother thing. any way I will subscribe to you. thanks Sir
OSHA wouldn't be amused... they are enjoying their work to much. I work in a quarry and the odds are you are more likely to be injured by OSHA and MSHA required guarding then the job it self.
LOL. The OSHA disclaimer was hilarious.
Great to see your staff having some fun! Can't be 100% serious the whole time. A happy workplace is a productive workplace 😁

Awesome, especially the ending. Always fun getting to goof off at work a little. Best of luck with the products Mark. Cheers.
I like your sincere solidly serious statements at the end. Of course all % serious
Was thinking to build an 801 SD what was the model you had? Do you still have the plane?

I love the disclaimer at the end. lol

Damn straight!!
so when will the inaugural Best Tugs racing league be held?
I'm going to hazard a guess that with management like you guys, it's no wonder Best Tugs are the best in the business. Happy workplace!
That’s what happens when great people hire great people. Get shit done and have fun doing it. What a wonderful boss. So sad they are so far and few between. Love ya Mike. PS. What’s going on with Scrappy Can’t wait for the next update

Mark Patey Excellent Great to hear
I love the discailmer at the end! For the record my life is a series of undocumented osha violations. 😆 good work.
Somehow I knew you had caught them riding the tug and sure enough they did exactly what I would have done. ;o)
So glad your ok buddy, happy new year to you and your family, love out the blue videos, your staff are having too much fun at work 😂😂 hows scrappy doing Mike, update soon? Best wishes from across the pond 😉🛩🇬🇧🇺🇸😜

Happy 2020 New Years Mike....
Why chase it when you could ride with it makes sense to me. :o)
I love the final OSHA disclaimer
I want a go as well, it looks fun!
OSHA, Don't forget a fire extinguisher
Mark, how is your build going on your new STOL project. Haven't heard anything about it. Maybe because Mike is taking up the hangar space.
That OSHA disclaimer 😂😂😂
Mark I have a question about the zenith 801 you built, I'm considering building one myself and I'm curious do you think it would be a good build for a first time builder first time flyer? LOL! We all want have that much fun at work!
Love the disclaimer lol
Hey Mike, I see your new product uses multiple Anderson Power Poles. Not sure who your supplier is but I bet I can get them cheaper. Great looking product! Cheers!
The new competition in electric vehicles. Maybe I could strap a recliner on it for my mother in law so she can go shopping.
Yup, with the big floppy straw hats and big gold-rimmed sun glasses. So classy!! ;^)
Rock on Mark :)
They can count their blessings that they got bosses like you.
Ok when is the first annual tug race scheduled and on what location?
That's great. Probably more fun than a segway lol
Employees are happy, then management & the boss are happy.
Oh your guys are hilarious.
BEST TUGS RACING !!! That's what I see in future 😂😂😂😂
Breaking into the electric vehicle market I see? Will this be licenced as a motorcycle? Seat looks like it could be more ergonomic.
Engineers just want to have fun too🤪
Do you have a dock for the remote on the tug?
Nice disclaimer at the end LOL
So how does this work IRL? An airport staff walks the plane all the way holding the remote? Or is it controlled by the pilot from the cockpit (assuming he then just presses the 'home' button and the tug returns autonomously...)?
The OSHA comment was priceless....
Awesome!
Who says you can't have fun while engaged in a little research and development?
Definitely The Best Tug!Via' Awesome Vision! 👍🇺🇸

Where is your scrappy Mark as your brother is ahead with everything.
🤣😂 Too cool!
And, I am sure no animals were harmed.....
Late shift guys usually solve more problems and get more production done since management is not asking for progress reports every 15 minutes.
UMMM ... EXCUSE ME ....!!

Best Tugs Brand Electric go-karts for sale soon?
Where are your lightweight 6 cylinder Cub build videos? Mike's Scrappy is there, where are yours?
