28 Day Fire Challenge- the challenge to get outside every day for 28 days and start a fire and enjoy some AMAZING food!
WHAT? Nachos on a campfire? YES! You just need a nice cast iron pan and load that thing up with chips, chili, cheese, onions, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, etc. Cover it with a piece of aluminum foil to heat it up and melt that cheese. THEN.... da da dum! NACHOS on a campfire baby! This is one of the best secret campfire recipes I can share with you.... sure to be a hit!
Join me in getting outside and getting happy around a campfire! Turn off the electronics and news and turn on campfire!

You don’t always spill things, I admire your inner strength to be out there, cooking, building (which I would love to do) but I lack the confidence you have built by going off on your own. I was brought up in the tri state area of NY and with great sorrow did not grow up in the country. My sister is just as you are in venturing out alone. I’m too wild animal scared. It’s a pleasure watching you cook, build and camp and since I fear not alone with someone such as yourself. I used to cook over open outdoor fires and having a fire anywhere us wonderful. They are warm, hypnotic and just so beautifully primal! Thank you for utubing .

I finally got in the woods and tried bushcrafting! I'm so excited! Built a fire reflector, put up a ridge pole, and made a little debris shelter for firewood. Now for the lean-to debris shelter to sleep under. Oh..... and yes, I built 2 fires, 2 days in a row! WOOP WOOP!!

I only Wish I could have introduced you to my Sister before she died. She also had a Big Connection of building fires each day, outside, or inside the house fireplace every night in the winters of Georgia, USA. Originally from Michigan, Kalamazoo, Wyoming/Grand Rapids, and Ludington, we were forced into Georgia at the worst ages of our lives when our Dad was transferred. to the metro Atlanta area, it was a major cultural shock back in the mid 1960's. I always wonder how much are lives were changed by the move, and what are lives may have been if we never left Michigan? I feel so much like I have a special connection to you because of the Michigan connection my friend.
Love these fire videos. And nachos are a favorite anytime. Yum.
Was glad when the music faded so we could hear all the natural sounds of the snow crunch, fire crackling, Maisie’s bark, etc. Makes it seem like really being there with you.
And who knew you could make nachos in a skillet. Can’t wait to try these.

Got outside last night for a gorgeous, cold, walk in the back snow covered field with my dog. The moon was full. The stars were out. It was glorious. A neighbor had made a hardened trail for us to walk on with his snowmobile the other day. His circle went the circumference of the land. I brought a head lamp, but didn't use it. The glare from the moon was just enough to see where I needed to go next. When we were heading back to the house, I stopped in the middle of untouched snow, sat down and lay back on the ground looking up at the night sky. The air was so crisp. My dog thought it was time to play but realized quickly that it was a quiet moment to enjoy the full moon and all the stars. Thank you for getting me out last night. I might not have had a fire, but boy did I reconnect with the girl who LOVED to be outside in the winter.

I quit my job like to recommended by had to find a part time job for awhile to pay the bills on the farm. I hate my job and yes I am a Doctor. I play on starting my own out of the box business to provide health care.
What a way to end the day, right before bed & get to watch another 🔥 with u & Maisie.......Yotes will be having a Howling Good Time tonite with that awesome full 🌕moon.....will have to try that nacho meal at camp tomorrow.........Thanx & stay safe / warm.......👍👍🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸

Such a nice pup you have Brooke. We have three rescue pups here in central NY. The coyotes are here too. The smallest pup, Willow a mixed western terrier upon hearing the coyotes tipped her head up and howled back. she only did it that one time. I guess she figured she made her point and established her territory. She gets the ice balls on her feet too. Tried to get her to wear the booties but she wouldn't move with them on. Thanks for your channel, brings a smile to my face for sure every time. Bill

Campfire chili cheese nacho's topped with sour cream BEGS for a good smattering of hot sauce. (Haha, any recipe with chili in it is vastly improved with hot sauce!) Gosh, my mouth waters just about whenever you cook Girl in the Woods!

I see a business here. The country version of a destination dining experience. A great motivator to get out on the trail. Post the the hiking trail and the people that make it to the fire get to eat some great food. Of course if I had the chili cheese nachos I would have jet propulsion to help make it back out to the vehicle. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think I'd ever heard of a Hemlock... I go to feed my sisters pets when she is out of town and some tree in her yard drops a lot of bark in the driveway and I have been collecting it for the fireplace but I have no idea what it is, just grateful to have it!

What about putting the whole grill in the fire with the stands unfolded, so they get hot and... so when you spread them and put the grill on their feet they melt the snow previously the fire does... God bless...
