Manila, Philippines. Street food travel vlog.
#Manila #Manilastreetfood #Philippines
the coconut vendor said beth looks like dayanara torres, former miss universe who lived in the philippines for awhile in the 90's.
I think that lady vendor has a problem thats why she can concentrate on the customer
Little girl said Thank you po......sooo adorable!!!🤗🤗
Ube (oo-bay) is a root vegetable similar to sweet potato. Most asians compare it to taro. It is naturally purple in color and used in desserts. So if you see anything purple ex. drinks, cakes or other desserts, it’s usually made with ube.
its actually pronounced as OO-BE not oo-bay. Just a short E, no ei or ey. ✌🏻
@@zhiarempola its the right pronunciation in english
@@scr1m844 it's not
You guys are very nice couple. Even they hardly understand you (British accent) , you still go on with your conversation with a smile 😊. Enjoy the Philippines and be safe.
I think you are like the new juicy vlog 👍🏻 many have tried but only a few really explored the philippines, its food and its culture and you are one of the few who are really diving into into it ❤️. if you stay longer your channel will grow faster!
Leche Flan is indeed Creme Caramel! Leche flan can be a dessert as it is sweet. I think it can also be better paired with a black coffee.
You should try Ube bread, Ube-cheese bread or Halo-Halo with Ube. You won't regret trying Ube.
Ube is like a purple yam in english.
Try kwek-kwek ( quail egg), isaw( chicken intestine), real pork barbeque)
Great blogs needs great features of undiscovered, but routine ordinary life of Filipinos hidden on plain site. Kudos
You should have tried to check the oldest chinatown in the world located in Binondo, Manila (next to Divisoria). You’ll surely enjoy authentic filipino-chinese dishes serve by many restaurants.
Nays one... love u guyz more videos❤❤❤
Ube is yam-- purple yam. It's naturally purple. A big favorite among Filipinos as flavor for drinks, cakes, pastries, etc.
Ube is a root crop. Like sweet potato etc. But it color is naturally purple which makes ube products purple too. I think they call it in english as purple yam, mostly mistaken as taro.
Coconut vendor guy says Beth looks like the Miss Universe 1993, Dayanara Torres.
Very authentic and entertaining 😊
Aww cute doggies and brilliant vlog as always. Love you guys 😊
The leche flan looks really well made. A good leche flan, when you slice it, should be smooth all the way through. Should have minimal holes or none at all. It's nice that you stayed around that place because a lot of small businesses selling a variety of goodies are there. These are Filipino goodies which will be hard to find or can't find at all in Makati or BGC. If ever you find them, they'll be very expensive.
Hi, watching from the U.S. and enjoying your Philippines travel. Hope you stay longer, for many adventures👍
Thanks to you for apreciating our country and its people mabuhay
Flan is a popular Mexican dessert. I wonder it this came to the Philippines via the Spanish or Portugese colonist. It is so interesting to see how food all over the world can sometimes be a very shared experience. I am an American, and we being the melting pot country of the world are very blessed to have people from every nation building our nation, and bringing some of the best cuisine with them. I am fortunate to have been raised by parents who love every type of cuisine. I am now getting cookbooks, and searching the internet for different types of food to cook. Cooking is its own reward 😊
I'm watching your vloggs visit street food at manila goodluck ang keep safe.
I think the seller was confused about your question. Ube is purple yam in Tagalog. It is naturally purple.
*_everytime i watch ur vlogg, goerge and lucy of the juicy vlogg comes on my mind. they are also from UK whom loved to stay here in the PH!_*
If you haven't yet tried halo- halo, it's a must during summertime. Street foods such as kwek-kwek, isaw, fish ball, adidas, barbecue, etc. are must-tries. People who are fond of animals are kindhearted people and this lovely couple are showing it hands down. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines.

Popular street food choices are kwek-kwek (quail egg), isaw (chicken intestine) and balut (fertilized duck egg)
Oh wow! Much different to what you would see on the streets in England haha

That purple one is ube flavor which is a variety of root crop same as taro and sweet potato in purple color, it's basically use as flavoring for natural color and the blending of taste and texture as well.
Divisoria is packed o e gills and I love it! It could be overwhelming specially for a foreigner, but it's an adventure. 😅👍

Feels like im watchin Juicy Vlog and am lovin it ! Lovely Couple ❤️
The first dessert you guys ate called Flan, kind of cream brulee 😋
Now that’s a good hat,any Chicago caps team stands out specially the cubs!
you can't leave the Philippines without trying Ube, it is a purple yam, and is basically kinda like the Philippine's version of vanilla, it's a well known flavor used in ice cream, breads, cakes, and other desserts. As you can see, you already encountered UBE flan, and UBE bread 6:00, kinda gives you an insight on how common Ube is on our culture 😊
btw the purple color is caused by the Ube itself, Ube has an intense purple color
Try halo-halo. It’s a very colorful icy dessert, but you have to make sure you mix it completely before eating to get the best flavor.
Eat rice cakes in different shapes and forms, they are popular snacks and desserts
The cute little ducks are just the craze of Filipinos today. We find it cute to wear 🐤🐤🐤🐤
you guys should go to ugbo there's a lot of food there ❤️
You should try ube (purple yum) it’s a very popular Filipino dessert.
You can try grilled banana coated with margarine and white sugar...
Ube is a root craft that is purple in color ( sweet potato) try the ube jam if you can find one. The dog seller doesn't understand your question. In the early years you can't hold your cellphones just like that while walking, someone will snatch it away from you. Better place it in your pocket. Try the TURON banana wrap in lumpia wrapper
Ube is a tuber. It's a purple yum which originates here in the Philippines. It's somehow akin to the purple sweet potato..
ENJOY sHOPPING IN DIVISORIA guys..BECAREFUL ON YOUR THINGS AND MONEY..BE SAFE
enjoy your stay in my home country. im a filipino and im here in stratford London👍
❤❤❤
The Banana Que I missed it 😋 🤤
This couple reminds me of Nelly and Mike (MAKE IT HAPPEN BLOGS)
Enjoy guys..
It is always busy on any day in Metro Manila. The most populated city in the world.
More fun here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 enjoy your journey amigo
Wow
May I suggest, You must try Turon brad,..made from banana and jackfruit.
You guys reminds me of Mike and Lucy "TheJuicyVlogs" 😊
❤GOD BLESS😁
Leche flan is made from egg yolk and condensed milk same as cream caramel or pudding.
What camera do you guys use to record? It’s so clear
Try arroz caldo, pansit, palabok, sopas, beef pares etc. As possible eat everything in the Philippines, you would love it.
I always travel around with pinoy friends. They know what to do.
should try Ugbo food strip it’s near that area. Variety of Filipino food out there. tc 🇵🇭❤️
Try balut, dried pusit.
Hellow welcome to the philippines guys enjoy your tour let's go to the BGC area there is so good place guys
the guy who sells coconut says to your wife that she looks like dayanara torres, a miss universe winner back then.
try "inutak" which is being sold also in those store that sells leche flan. inutak is also good.
Next time try Binondo...the Old China Town....it's a Chinese food crawl there...
New subscriber here 🤗
🥰🥰🥰
Ohyummyyyy❤❤❤❤
i see a lot of vlogs that when asked what a particular food is, vendors would normally say the name instead of telling what it is made of, which i believe what the buyer is hoping to hear. Ube is purple yam and it has that natural color to it, hence the name. not saying anything bad about those vendors, they're amazing, doing their best to answer tourist the best way they can. would be nice though to see if they can explain how it is made and what the food is made of.
Most of our savory food is best paired with a condiment. Ask what condiment suits the dish.
That sweet potato is not just a normal potato covered with sugar.. thata a sweet potato covered with sugar
LAST ONE IS BARBEQUE PORK SKIN...WE LOVE IT....TRY IT FOR SECOND TIME AND YOULL LOVE IT....DONT FORGET TO DIP IN VINEGAR😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I like the banana cue. I envy you guys cuz theres no street foods here in the US
UBE is purple yam .. its used very commonly in filipino sweets .. ube can be anything! ice cream, cake, cupcake, icing, almost all filipino sweets has an ube flavoured version ..
Haha great feat in eating street food 👋👋👋🫰
guys plsss try the SOUP NUMBER FIVE best soup in the philippines, take care enjoy our country,. GOD BLESS
Now I’m hungry😂
legit beth is look a like of dyanara Torres former Miss universe from puerto rico 😍
Anongggyrr palanggiiiyyaaaaann mooo😂😂😂
15:13 the coconut vendor said beth looks like the beauty queen dianara torres,,,,,,
Go to Cartimar Pasay the biggest petshop in the Philippines! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
There's nothing negative about young coconuts (the kind you had). 😉 Coconut water is a very healthy drink, and the meat is soft ang delicious. Only if the husk is green, then it's young. Brown or unhusked coconuts are not for drinking, they're only good for their meat, for cooking.
Hahaha that exactly cream caramel or creme Brule is same but deferent procedures.
Try TURON BANANA CUE
If you'd go to UGBO. Or greenfield there is a lot or variety of street food there. Your gonna enjoy a lot of food there. Sorry if most of the people are not understanding you. Most of the people are use to american accent. That is why they are having difficulties communiting with you.
Next time you want to try bbq sticks make sure you get it from a night or farmers market event. Bbq sticks from the poorer areas use all parts of the pig and chicken. Nothing goes to waste. I suggest you go to Salcedo (sat) or Legaspi(sun) markets they are in the morning. Both in the Makati area. They have more upscale food and street food there. More for a foreigners palette.
@dlpro619
Everything but the oink or the cluck on a skewer 😁
it's funny like the vendors were saying all the wrong information about their products! hahaha!
You should go to the Islands they just fall off the trees and they are free. Coconut 🌴
Halo halo is the most favorite food.
