I really like Filipino people. They are nice, nice, friendly, easy to talk to. That's because I have a Filipino teacher teaching English in Thailand. They always remind us of one good thing. They are my greatest teachers. He and I currently live in different cities in Thailand. He has been working in Thailand for many years. He is loved by everyone. Hope I can see him again sometime. # i miss u my teacher ❣️🇵🇭 from THA.
24:25 it’s a redeveloped portion of Manila Bay. It’s used to be full of trash and polluted, so people cannot swim. The sand in Manila bay is dark(or black) but it was topped with crushed dolomite so the beach looked whiter now. You see the water looks a bit murky still, that’s because of Manila Bay’s natural dark sand. People are making good progress on cleaning the bay and security is tight that you cannot bring food and plastic bottles in the beach. Sooner people can swim again and we’ll see a more lively Manila Bay.
@30:37 Those are called Crinkles. Chocolate Crinkles are a deliciously soft, fudge-like cookie that are encased in a generous coating of confectioners (powdered or icing) sugar. The name "Crinkle" probably refers to how the powdered sugar "crinkles" or "cracks" as the cookies bake, revealing a little of the chocolate underneath. -@google
Metro Manila has 16 cities, each with its own vibe. Binondo (Chinatown) was the financial center in the 1800s, Manila in the 50s, Makati in the 80s, BGC early 2000s. They’re all different.
you're absolutely right, they are bullet holes during World War II, this was the place where Americans and Filipinos stayed and fought with Japanese. This is also the place where our hero Dr Jose Rizal was jailed against the Spaniards.
“Rampage: MacArthur, Yamashita, and the Battle of Manila” by James Scott is a sad, but terrific book on the subject. Also, RUclips’s Mark Felton’s “ Stalingrad of the Pacific” is a short, but worthwhile video on the Battle of Manila.
Here are the places I suggest you visit here in Metro Manila: Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Taguig, Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Taguig, Green Belt Makati, Eastwood City and, Mall of Asia and it has the biggest Ikea in the world , Star City. Manila Ocean Park, Chinatown 👍
Hello welcome to the Phillipines mabuhay!I am very happy to see both here in our beloved country.Hope you will enjoy expolring the city of manila and the onther neigbhoring city like Taguig BGC or Tagaytay and Baguio.Thank you for promoting our country ro the whole world .God bless and be happy everyday.👍❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🥰🇵🇭
I feel so good, it feels like I was there with you guys, now I can see the beauty of the Philippines live and they have the most beautiful clouds, here in California just a lil cloud almost plain blue skies
@02:17 They are most possibly bullet holes. The fort was severely damaged during the WW2 because the Americans had to bomb it, and it was a site of fierce battles, because they had to send out the Japanese who stationed themselves inside it. The fort would have been more beautiful, with more old Spanish-time buildings were it not for destruction of the WW2. Although, clearly, a few of the holes at the edges of the entry ways are holes left from studs or big nails the were holding the old gates.
Welcome🥰i recommend you guys go to bgc if you want modern and Moa if you want big mall also yes it’s nice to not search to not live up expectations but also u still need to search up😂 so that you know the history or where you are going❤
Herw in the philippines we use spoon and fork, spoon in your right fork in your left hand, then use the spoon to shovel the food or soup with the help of fork. Its hard watching you use the fork in the rice 😅😅
While in Metro-Manila, go to our biggest Mall in the Phils., The Mall of Asia (MOA) and the modern city Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Try also The Araneta Center Quezon City the newly opened Gateway Mall 2 and also go to the Eastwood City also located in Quezon City and also go around the Makati area like Greenbelt Mall and Glorietta Mall. It’s also nice to go to a prestigious hotel and casino like OKADA Hotel, City of Dreams, Solaire located in Paranaque, Metro-Manila.
Most of traditional filipino food are a bit salty or robust taste because they are supposed to be eaten with rice. But some high end restos have tamed it somehow to fit international palates. If you go to carenderias or the traditional street restaurants, you will find condiment bottles of soy sauce, fish sauce and vinegar and you can request for chillis, because filipino food are supposed to finished on the table by the eater on his plate to fit his palate or his taste.
The beach you visited is called "Dolomite beach" man made of crushed dolomites, high maintenance. It gets ruined easily during heavy storms the government have to cover it up again with dolomite.
When you're on that beach, you pointed to a place with ferris wheel. Thats part of the MOA area. Mall of Asia where you previously visited. It has a bayside area connected to the mall area.

4:31 It is a cross between Filipino and Spanish architecture, it's mostly a Filipino-based architecture because what sets this country apart from Spain is the tropical environment, so old colonial Philippine architecture are more airy and full of open windows, something you don't see too much in spanish buildings
@39:46 THAT'S CHEAP (vs US pricing)! I was born in the Philippines but grew up in the US and haven't been back since I was a kid. Thanks for the videos!
The area where you saw a ferris wheel is Pasay City. Beside that amusement area is the largest mall in the country, 5th in the world, the Mall of Asia, where you can find also the biggest Ikea in the world😊
2:27 you're correct. Those are bullet holes from the Battle of Manila WWII, in 1945. the Japanese forces retreated to Intramuros, including Fort Santiago, where it was severely damaged by the bombings and gunfights between the US forces and Japanese imperial army.
the beach is filled with crushed dolomte rocks not sands...it just look like white sand beach from afar....the chocolate cookies sprinkled with confectionary white powder sugar is called Sprinkles.....prices in 7-Eleven shops is a bit more expensive than a regular grocery or supermarket

MOA is a waste of time. Venice is tacky. BGC is nice and so is Makati CBD. Stop suggesting malls. You can find malls all over the world, and most of the ones in the Philippines are not spectacular besides Greenbelt in Makati
The foods in the mall is way expensive....Maybe you try our streetfoods so I guess...it's enjoyable to visit our provinces and food stalls like our carinderia...make sure though to ask for the correct price and ask if the food is cooked fresh...Enjoy...Mabuhay ang Pilipinas
