Beautiful airplane! My father used to have an Aircamper. I never got to see it or fly in it, but I have always been drawn to the airplane!

Alan Potter thanks for the compliment. I agree the Corvair engine sounds nice. My friends at my home airport can tell its me flying just by the sound.

Hi Tyler! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I will see you and your Dad in a couple of weeks. I will be getting to Brodhead either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning depending on the weather. Are the two of you going on to Oshkosh?
If you haven't already, make sure you watch my other Pietenpol videos.

Отличное воздушное судно. Поздравляю! Прекрасно выглядит! Я строю такой же самолёт в России (смотри мой канал), но летать пока не могу. Долгих лет жизни Вам и Вашему летательному аппарату.
Excellent aircraft. Congratulations! It looks great! I'm building the same plane in Russia (watch my channel), but I can't fly yet. Long life to you and your aircraft.

That was a joy to watch. I can tell there’s some stories behind the making of that one. Thanks for sharing that one Mr Schreiber.

What fun! Watching videos of Brodhead I notice most Piet pilots don't pick up the tail on takeoff. Any reason for this?

Its a 2700 cc Chevrolet Corvair converted to aircraft use.

The original had a Model T engine and the radiator was smack dab in the way of the pilots view forward...
At least the "Camper" model was.

@@echobravo77 Yes indeed, the original was a Model A. I own a '29 Phaeton and this plane is very much admired in the Model A World.
