Well 1. not like it hasn't been done before and 2. Tyler is pretty much known to be a better producer than he is a rapper. He always produces his own shit and has produced for many rappers outside of OF including Schoolboy Q. Honestly the crazy thing we should be praising him for is how excellent this album came together as a whole.
Petter Vosveld he produces 85% of Odd Future too. Hes a very umderrated artist, more to him than most people see... i mean his favourite music is Jazz that says it all.

Personally I'd say this is tied with Wolf for me. To me Wolf is the first album that showed Tyler's softer side to his music like Treehome95 and the introduction song Wolf. Wolf was a perfect mix between his Bastard/Goblin type songs and his Cherry Bomb/Flower Boy type songs. That being said Flower Boy is an absolute masterpiece, I feel Tyler really put his heart and soul into this album, making sure that everything on it was intricately created and made to the highest standard possible. Is crazy to think that Tyler went from "Kill People Burn Shit Fuck School" to making dreamy love songs. Aha how times change

funky trout we literally only had 24 days to prepare for flower boy. The release was sudden and kept a secret for the most part, don't think "overhyped" is the right word
No, because it's the first time Tyler releases such an in depth and well thought album. Then again, Tyler has already broken through with his previous projects (especially Goblin) so I get why you said Blond* :)

Miles McCollum i think run is great, just too short. keep da o's is bad though imo. my fav song off the album was pilot for sure though, and the first half of blow my load was really good, especially the instruments.
I keep coming back to this album after Igor and other recent rap albums, and I honestly think it will go down as one of the greatest left turns in music history, and one of the greatest albums of the decade.
I think you're wrong about the last track 'Enjoy Right Now Today'. I've noticed in interviews Tyler always says how much he hates rap and he hates being a rapper so I feel like he's kinda going against what it means to be a rapper. He didn't use long convoluted verses to explain his deep meaning to you, he used 1 sentence to say it directly to you. I may be overthinking it but I personally like thinking about it that way.
I don't think he hates rap and being a rapper otherwise he would just be producing, also he has asthma so I always kinda appreciate the amount of effort it has to be for him to rap the way he does. I think what he means when he says that is he'd like to be seen as something other than a rapper, he wants to be seen as an artist (not a fashion designer because he's said he hates the fashion industry too) or a filmmaker. Tbh I think he's just edgy, he doesn't like getting labelled as anything. He goes against some of his music being called horrorcore as well.
I got a lot of that from this record - using production in the true sense of the word (especially when it comes to finding the perfect person for x feature) as the mode of expression, and using pointed lyrics at the right time to show what he was feeling during that production. The dreary vibe to it coupled with the lyrics that jump from topic to topic give you a great idea of his headspace too, and the links between garden shed/boredom/november tell the story of what he was going for.
I think the ender does wrap up the album a little bit. Glitter is talking more ab a relationship and most of the album is ab being alone and being bored so is it him filling that void with something or someone he found, idk. Just critically thinking
You should definitely make your music playlist public so me and your fans could listen to your true favorites and what you really look for in a song, and because i need new music haha.
lavashtrash sorry for this oops but being random is making a joke out of nothing. this joke actually has a point and even though it isn't super funny funny its still a joke. random 11 yr old humour would be like "llamas XD rawr" nothing to do with the content.
sucks you missed the whole point of glitter but super glad you liked the album! despite it's sound, glitter is one of the most sad and heart felt songs on the record. it's really a continuation of november because it's the song he wrote for that someone that he spoke of in november. and the end of glitter is the answering machine saying it missed the message. all one message and very sad when you look into it's meaning.
2011: Cal puts Radiohead album in his top 7 albums 2016: Radiohead album is one of Anthony's favs of the year ... 2011: Cal puts Tyler, The Creator album in his top 7 albums 2017: Tyler, The Creator album is on Anthony's loved list ... 2018: .... Lady Gaga ?
Tyler has always had obvious potential as a creative genius, which is most apparent in his music videos and also in his top tracks, which. This is the first time that potential has been fully realized on a whole album and I believe is the blooming of that creative genius, which will be further explored from this point on No pun intended with the word bloom, because it's a related metaphor, not a pun

Beach Impala Yeah I am seeing him in November can't wait! Yeah if we see it as a transitional record that leaves it very interesting to see where he will go next. And yes his career has been one long progression and this seems to be his next steps
When is Fantano gonna buy a pair of specs that actually fit his head? Please, somebody, count the number of times he adjusted his glasses in this video (because I'm too lazy to do it).
I give it a 9 out of 10. I definitely am in love with this album because I gave it one listen through and the immediately knew that I need to own the album. So I went out and bought the album and now it's been on repeat since.
For me this is honestly a 10. There is not one bad song on here, it feels like a grand story told by musical elements.Even over a year after release I listen to it in full length twice a week. I also feel like Tyler finally reached maximum potential or is at least pretty damn close.
After 2 years, I would give FB strong 9. This aged like a fine wine.

It sounds a little like WOLF as well, and I liked that sound. He refined it and I love it so much.
Usually all I hear from cherry bomb is screaming and noise. Only good were Smuckers, and find your wings.
He gave T a higher score than Kendrick.
Truly the strangest timeline.
it's all in the context of each artist's discography
lolyermad alright.
This is Tyler's channel ORANGE honestly
Yannick V *Blond
No, because it's the first time Tyler releases such an in depth and well thought album. Then again, Tyler has already broken through with his previous projects (especially Goblin) so I get why you said Blond* :)
Nah. Channel Orange was a master piece. This album was great but far from perfect
Blond is my preferred Ocean album. Pretty much a masterpiece. And I love this album almost as much.
These Bitches Want Nikes Blond is an album I feel like I'll be listening to for the rest of my life.

unpopular opinion: cherry bomb was good, just took time to get used to
Paul Walker lmao at least i'm not dead
I agree. Still not as good as this.
Miles McCollum i think run is great, just too short. keep da o's is bad though imo. my fav song off the album was pilot for sure though, and the first half of blow my load was really good, especially the instruments.
Eh no.
Shane Benjamson that's why it's an unpopular opinion

ok i can understand giving it a 3, but i became uncomfortable after you called him the N word for the 12th time in a row? what the hell?
honestly so uncalled for
I'm outraged. 11 niggaz is okay, but 12 this guy is looking to get his ass beat.
doobie hard r. Unbelievable.
doobie what? im so confused what are you talking about
Noah Trigo is a joke; for the dudes who read the comments for the final diagnosis instead of watching the video.
He hates rapping about personalities that doesnt exist like wolf and goblin.

Simon Pack I think it was a necessary outro, not my favorite

I was hoping for your review, an 8 is a really fair rating, and the album is pretty great. Keep the good work melon

You should definitely make your music playlist public so me and your fans could listen to your true favorites and what you really look for in a song, and because i need new music haha.

Sometimes I just go through his reviews and add his favorite tracks of the albums to my playlist
He has a Cymbal account, and you can usually find what he's been listening to there!

lavashtrash sorry for this oops but being random is making a joke out of nothing. this joke actually has a point and even though it isn't super funny funny its still a joke. random 11 yr old humour would be like "llamas XD rawr" nothing to do with the content.
I miss when you used to play the little instrumental at the end after saying "forever"

Bath Salts straight facts
Jorian Morgan I'm glad a Kendrick stan is not scared of saying the truth damn was over hyped the only track that was a masterpiece was "pried" imo
Caz Miller this is way better
sucks you missed the whole point of glitter but super glad you liked the album! despite it's sound, glitter is one of the most sad and heart felt songs on the record. it's really a continuation of november because it's the song he wrote for that someone that he spoke of in november. and the end of glitter is the answering machine saying it missed the message. all one message and very sad when you look into it's meaning.
BOYCART Tyler just tweeted today that Glitter and See You Again were the two best songs
BOYCART
Regardless of the meaning, I think a lot of people simply don't like the sound of the track Glitter, like they may find the chorus annoying
Caz Miller maybe, personally I loved it

Tyler has always had obvious potential as a creative genius, which is most apparent in his music videos and also in his top tracks, which. This is the first time that potential has been fully realized on a whole album and I believe is the blooming of that creative genius, which will be further explored from this point on
No pun intended with the word bloom, because it's a related metaphor, not a pun
YELLOW FLANNEL ALERT THIS IS NOT A DRILL. YELLOW FLANNEL
"If I had to pick on one instrumental on this whole record though it would be Where this Flower Bloo-"LET ME JUST STOP YOU RIGHT THE FUCK THERE BEFORE YOU TALK SMACK ABOUT MY FAVORITE RAP INSTRUMENTAL OF ALL TIME
FUCK IT UP FUCK IT UP
I think both this and Blonde deserved 9s, but (strong) 8s are acceptable.
Blair Johnson u mean november lmao
Anyone else see any parallels between Tyler and Mac DeMarco in the way there most recent records were by far their most personal?
Gabriel Apolloni tyler listens to and is a huge fan of mac
Beach Impala I really enjoyed the Mac album haha why didn't you enjoy it as much just out of curiosity?
C K I know but they were both the kind of wacky crazy dudes in their field and their last records have involved them showing a little bit more of them personally and almost calming down
Gabriel Apolloni ya I think it's Cool they are both great artists
Beach Impala Yeah I am seeing him in November can't wait! Yeah if we see it as a transitional record that leaves it very interesting to see where he will go next. And yes his career has been one long progression and this seems to be his next steps
Next line'll have em like woah, I've been wearing yellow flannels since 2004
glitter feels more like a prologue to igor than a ending credits to flower boy tbh. at least sonically
11/10
its da YELLA. its da YELLA
When is Fantano gonna buy a pair of specs that actually fit his head? Please, somebody, count the number of times he adjusted his glasses in this video (because I'm too lazy to do it).

kushal chordiya Anthony's 10/10s:
-Death Grips - The Money Store
-Swans - To Be Kind
-Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
SuperLuigi22 he gave Watermelon a 10
im super sad syd and earl weren't on this
Not Earl's vibe at all
Dan Will earl had a run of lofi tracks like quest/power and E. coli, I feel like Tyler and earl could meet in the middle with that sound yk
Syd would have pushed this into a 6/10
@@lara4132 wtf
I give it a 9 out of 10. I definitely am in love with this album because I gave it one listen through and the immediately knew that I need to own the album. So I went out and bought the album and now it's been on repeat since.
Who’s here after IGOR?
well good evening
Hello there
Had to find some time, find some time to listen to my favorite album oat
For me this is honestly a 10. There is not one bad song on here, it feels like a grand story told by musical elements.Even over a year after release I listen to it in full length twice a week. I also feel like Tyler finally reached maximum potential or is at least pretty damn close.
With you saying you feel he’s reach max potential, what do you think of Igor?
