On the other hand I relistened to both acid rap and colouring book and I still feel acid rap is just such a more meaningful album, it is far more raw, far more energetic, while I still really enjoy colouring book it already has that cloying nostalgia and sappy ‘aw shucks’ vibe that really takes it from a 9 to an 8 here and there. Both great projects but Acid Rap is just a more potent artistic statement, more emotionally honest and with a somewhat wider sonic palette.
