Very good review for making purchase decision! I got this just yesterday primarily for the outdoor capability. Was happy to see your demo on an outdoor measurement, and yeah, I'm with you 100% - its primarily to be used as a good estimating tool...Thanks again!
Yeah I wasn’t sure about it until I found the zoom… I was like it’s nice to have a picture, but it’s a small picture to see very far away. The zoom definitely makes it more usable.
I bought this yesterday. According to the instruction card that comes with it, I determined that several suggested uses would result in inaccurate measurements. When I explained to an engineer at Bosch, he said “Yeah, I know what you are saying, but 1/2” out doesn’t really make a difference in construction.” !!!
@@kkdesignservices183 yeah I wouldn’t use it for precision work. It’s more of an estimating tool to me. I don’t know how you would ever be able to trust something 100% at 300 feet
@@kkdesignservices183 for precision stuff I agree. I only use laser distance measurers outside of estimating when I’m working by myself and keeping a tape extended for a long measurement is too hard. Then I usually cut a smidge more than what it says and sneak up on it
I also have the Bosch GLM50C. I've had it a few years and not a single day goes by where I don't use it for something. (part of my EDC now). I will say one thing - if you have a remote possibility of measuring outdoors, you'll want one like this GLM-400C. Thanks for the video, young man!
Appreciate it. Yeah I always use the Bosch when I’m measuring for accuracy. Not that my others are bad, I’ve just used and tested them enough to trust them. Sorry for the late reply.. I accidentally checked “hold all comments”
The UK version is branded as GLM 150-27 C and its just like my faithful GLM 50C but on steriods - bigger, and 3x stronger in range! Its rare to feel proud & confident when using either of these top Bosch laser measures and I must say - the accuracy is within a hair everytime. Thumbs up on delivering a well balanced review as it valedates my experiences & opinion - money well spend I say (which goes for most Bosch tools)!
@MORGANSMaintenance Yeah, I picked up the BOSCH GLM100-23 100 Ft BLAZE Laser Distance Measure for $40, BOSCH GLL50-20G 50 Ft Green-Beam Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser for $80, and BOSCH BT 150 Compact Tripod for $40 recently. Compared to Klein, Milwaukee, Empire, DeWalt, Makita, and even Skil, the prices couldn’t be beat.
Yeah $300 was hard for me to swallow. I can usually measure a piece of siding or brink and multiply. I had been watching it for awhile on Amazon. Just saw these comments, I accidentally held all comments instead of allow all comments when I uploaded
Unfortunately, I can't find it online at Lowe's for $90. That must be an in the store purchase only, unless someone knows where I can get it for the same price online?
This one is pretty big.. I guess it had to be for the camera screen I think they were hammering on the price since there aren't many options that work this way. Probably haven't sold many at that price I got your email… I accidentally held all comments instead of allow all comments.
That indeed ozzes quality. Bosch were never cheap besides maybe the holiday specials and you can tell it's professional tool. I don't think I can use all thoes features I'm how I work a little fancy. They spared no expense on it with a non crappy case with a clip! We need more clipped cases for sure. I find rough math good enough for me if it's 27 bla feet Ling were rounding up to 30 with one or 2 oops peices never exact on purpose. Watch somw az brand make a complete clone of it and change 90ish dollars for it if they don't get there company sued into the ground 😆
Bosch does typically make good stuff. I normally will count bricks/blocks/siding etc… but I had wanted to try this for awhile. I accidentally check hold all comments when I uploaded this instead of allow all comments like I normally do… I was wondering why no one was saying anything 😂

Thank you for confirming the zoom function. I did not find the zoom levels on Bosch website. You are the only one showing it.

Can use the pin for measuring out from a corner. Handy that way.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Even at close range, the suggested use would be inaccurate. Nothing matches measuring with eyeballs and a tape, in my opinion.

$90 is a steal!
Bosch laser measures and laser levels are great! I have both in my tool bag.
They have always been good in the laser game. They were the only ones I would purchase before I started trying other ones for this channel

Nice look; thanks. For $90, it is something to consider.
Yeah that puts it in line with a regular Bosch laser. I had been watching it for over a year on Amazon
Nice find for that price. No need for it myself. Could have really used that like 20 years ago but not in my current work.

Yep, $90 is ok. Regular price it's a daylight robbery.
My only problem with this "smart" laser measures is they are way too big.

Does it consume in green 😆 gotta ask
I’m wondering if maybe that’s what they are doing and clearancing this out… I guess it would be ok to be green for the indoor measurements 😂
