- Todays "Tool Talk" is inspired by many videos I like watching this time of year. It is my Top 10 tools I am glad I purchased in 2023. I am looking at the tools that surprised me, made me more efficient, or my work more enjoyable. I bought others that could easily make the list... but these i feel would be the most universal and work for most people.
Let me know what you think and what was your favorite tool you purchased in 2023? If you have suggestions, or questions... let me know in the comments and THANKS FOR WATCHING!
The following are links to products you see in the video. I participate as an Amazon Affiliate, so if a link is marked (Affiliate Link) I make a small commission off your purchase through those links at no cost to you. Thank you for your support!

I've gotten to the point that if MM has it, it's probably a good idea to get it. Don't even really need to watch the full video. But I do for the support of course.
Appreciate the confidence 😂 👍👍
I research stuff out quite a bit, but occasionally I get suckered into getting a dud.
Those quick cans are a great idea, and the Stanley Saw horses are a steal!
Yeah that is a real good price at Ace Hardware.
I expected the Kwickan to be gimmicky, but I use it all the time.
Wishing you a happy New Year! Thanks for all the contributions to our world.
You too buddy 👍. Appreciate your support of the channel from way back.
Ever since I've been following you, I've been waiting for this video with your TOP 10 purchases of the year. Even though I live in Brazil, you've always been a great reference for me. Thanks for sharing this for another year!
Hope I didn’t disappoint 😂
Appreciate you watching 👍👍
After seeing those saw horses, I talked my dad and a buddy into snagging a set. And I just walked out of Ace with a pair, you’re bringing in Christmas early 😂
👍👍… I’m a regular Santa Claus 😂
Thanks!
Thank you for watching… and thanks for the Super Thanks 👍👍
I love your list! My best purchase this year is the Milwaukee Track saw
Nice… I’ve already had the Dewalt for some time now… but maybe one day.
Appreciate it 👍
Some great recommendations, thanks!
Your welcome… appreciate it 👍
I’ve Watched lots of tool videos but very very impressed with this one for how many new AND useful things you’ve got
Appreciate that. I’m always on the lookout for things that will make my job easier and more enjoyable.
Some people say I have a problem 😂
Looking forward to another year of content 👍👍
Appreciate it buddy… you too 👍👍
Bought the clip olight because you. Used it tonight to see screws on bottom car to remove side paneling. I like it
It’s really good for its size. It was much brighter than I expected it to be.
Glad you like it 👍
I was able to get those saw horses for only $19.99 using the $5 off Ace Rewards coupon i had received. Thanks for the recommendations.
Great video! I'm always looking for better tools and you have some great suggestions.
Good deal 👍👍
Appreciate it.
That trash can maker is going to be a game changer for me. I’m constantly doing yard work and this will be perfect for making a can for dirt, mulch, weeds, leaves….
I really like mine. I’m especially glad they came out with a smaller version. 👍
#clippidydoodah
The no holster is really cool, I hadn't heard of those. Great tip!!
The kwickan is definitely on my list.
Thanks for the informative videos!!
Easy subscription.
Appreciate it… Good Luck 👍
You,,sir, are one of my top ten tools of 23,,,,,you have become one of the first developer I look for when opening the ipad,,,,,thank you, good luck in 24……
I appreciate that 👍👍… I figured I’d make a few videos when I started this for giggles, but you all keep me motivated. Look forward to the comments on every video
Great selection of tools. Those Stanley saw horses look to be very interesting. I have a set from Toughbuilt which are great, but a real pain to take anywhere. Probably the Wera torque wrench is my bets buy for this year, ergonomic and super accurate, but then I am in a different field to you.
That’s how I feel about my other Saw Horses…
Thanks for sharing your favorite… I will buy a tool even if I only use it once 😂
👍👍
Kwikcan and Durabag! Brilliant!
Have one sitting at my job site today… I really like it
Great tool video. My best and most used if you wear ball caps is the MagnetaClip! Love it.
I wear a ball cap all day every day… (unless it’s fancy 😂) I will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion 👍👍
Enjoyed the video! I also really like the Quick Cans. Going to pick up a pair of the saw horses, too.
They both work great.
Appreciate you watching 👍👍
clippidydoodah
Thank you for the top 10 list. I have always enjoyed your videos. Thank you for taking the time to help non professionals excel in diy projects. Ron
Glad to help… Good Luck 👍
If you don’t mind to edit your comment and put a # in front of clippidydoodah….
I’m still counting it, but just so I don’t get grief about it if you win.
Love the groove life belt and the wallet!
I just got the wallet myself. I like it too 👍
Awesome video, and really good ideas to ask for birthday present, thank you 👍🏼
Appreciate that… and Happy Future Birthday 👍👍
Clippedy do dah. Great video.
👍👍 Good Luck
If you don’t care will you edit your comment to add the # in front of clippitydoodah
I’m counting anything close, but that way if you win I don’t get grief from somebody about it.
Appreciate it 👍
Nice list!
Appreciate it 👍👍
Merci pour cette vidéo
You are welcome 👍
That laser distance meter is just awesome!
Yeah I kinda thought it was gimmicky cool when I first got it… but the more I’ve used it, the dual laser is really useful.
👍👍
Those saw horses are pretty great. I have many sets of saw horses as well and several expensive sets that have alot of adjustability. But I almost always use my Stanley compact metal horses because I always have them in my truck since theyre so compact and light to carry around.
That’s why I got them… just so I can always have a set on me that doesn’t take up much room in my truck. I will take other ones to bigger jobs where I may leave them… but these are able to stay in my truck all the time.
Agreed. I just bought the Worx saw horses last winter because I got tired of having to extend the legs on my steel ones every time I pulled them out. Now I'm eyeing these up because they clearly fold up smaller and I could easily fit them in the back of my Grand Cherokee.
Really enjoy your content keep up the great work Ill be watching. And Thanks for sharing your valuable insights!
Appreciate it… thank you for supporting the channel by watching. 👍👍
Those Red Cap tube sealers are worth it. I use them alot.
👍👍.. I agree. It’s great to not have to cut bigger holes in old tubes just to be able to use them
Awesome! Pulled the trigger on the vessel electric screwdriver after you posted the video on it!
#clippidydoodah
I really like it… More than I expected.
Good Luck 👍
#clippidydoodah Great finds. I’ll be adding a couple things to my cart.
Glad I could help, Good Luck 👍
#clippidydoodah Nice review of your favorites. Definitely second the caulk condoms. Guys at Ace Hardware showed me those last year. The sawhorses are a steal for $25. They showed up in an email from Ace. Gonna pick them up this weekend. Those clips are slick. I know I’ve had several close calls with my installation driver and impact almost falling off of my pocket.
Yeah I’ve been surprised how well those caulk tips work.
I really like the Nohlster. I run it on my Surge, which is my most used tool.
Good Luck 👍
I am definitely getting a pair of the sawhorses
That’s a good deal at Ace Hardware if yours has them. It says online only, so you may have to order and pick up in store
I do both facility and apartment maintenance for the size and price 👍
Got a second groove belt myself. Needed a brown 😊 probably gonna buy more just to stock pile them.
I really like them. They were running a decent sale.
Yup I got in on that. Someone needs to start making clip on covers for th buckle.
@@w.s.soapcompany94 I wouldn’t be surprised if their isn’t a 3D printer out there doing it
Great video! Lightweight sawhorses are the way to go! #clippidydoodah
They are really nice. I also like not having to work a puzzle to open and close them…
Good luck 👍
Love my Wera screwdrivers and Knipex cobras. May have to check out the Vessels now. #clippidydoodah
I really like WERA too.. I use their insulated drivers a lot.
Good Luck 👍
#clippidydodah Thanks for this "Best of 2023", especially for the Nohlster Locking Clip!
👍👍 Good luck
I like the ox pencil sold at Lowe's. It's a square shape so it doesn't roll. The sharpener is in the same location as the hult pencil.
I’ve thought about getting that one to try. It’s the one my buddy uses.
Thanks for the suggestion 👍
I Like the OX as well. It's nice to be able to walk into Lowes and get one instead of having to order one on line. I like the square shape so it doesn't role and the sharpener location is great as it allows you to sharpen without having to pull the holster out of your pocket. I did have my cap falling of which was a bit annoying so I finally took a small button head screw and screwed it into the tube instead of putting the cap on and it works great as a push button and looks kinda cool being a black screw head which just looks construction tough.
I didnt think I'd watch a 30 minute video, but that was a valuable use of time. Thanks for packing so many cool gadgets in there! Love the insulated screwdrivers and that super compact electric driver... not to mention the Nöhlster locking tool clip! #CLIPPIDYDOODAH
Appreciate that… I know long videos aren’t for most people. I’d tried my best to keep each tool to the minimum explanation.. but I do get to rambling sometimes 😂
Great video, I appreciate you putting this together. It's kind of expensive to watch your channel, lol. Merry Christmas.
Hey I only show you about 1/2 of what I buy 😂😂
Merry Christmas to you too 👍👍
I love the KwicKan! The 13" is perfect for my shed. I don't need a trash can taking up room all the time, but nailing a bag to the wall makes it harder to use. This will be the perfect temporary solution. Ordering now. I'd also love to try those clips. #clippidydodah
Yeah the 13 gallon size will be more useful to me… many of my jobs are “few hour” job and I don’t need a big bag.
Good Luck 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I ended up getting the bigger one as well for when we start a spring cleaning project in the house. We use 33 gallon contractor bags for cleanup, so I think it'll get lots of use in the house each weekend. LOL
@@markkempton4579 they would work good for leaves to hold the bag open… I don’t do that… but it would work good.
The only negative reviews I read was people saying they cracked and broke. I’ve used mine a lot with zero issues.
Hope you like them 👍
Really great video. Showed up in my feed today. I've never seen some of these tools before. Thanks #clippidydodah
Appreciate it. They are all ones I’m glad I bought 👍👍
Great video! The caulk tube condoms just got orders! 😂
They work great, I’ve been really surprised by them… plus it’s a good joke to give them to your friends before they go on a date 😂
Thank you for the tool suggestions and links! #clippidydoodah
You are welcome… appreciate your support of the channel!
Good luck 👍
For a smaller "debris" bag, I save my shelled corn sacks. I've used them as sand bags as well. N they're FREEEEEE!
Those would probably work well… can’t beat free 😂
Keeping your pants up is serious business!
It is… 😂
I can’t say enough about those Groove Belts. I can’t imagine wearing anything else. I’m sure there are other brands that are similar.
Your video’s always make sense to the normal working guy. Thanks for all you do! #clippidydoodah
Appreciate that… Good Luck 👍👍
Great video as always! Need to replace my old Craftsman Robo Grips with a pair of Knipex Smart Grips. Keeps the great Tool Videos coming! #CLIPPIDYDOODAH
I really like them… still hoping for a smaller pair.
Good Luck 👍
I actually got a pair of the Nolhster Drill clips for Christmas due to your recommendation. I dropped my impact off a 12ft ladder because the stock belt clip was loose. It bring a Milwaukee impact worked just fine afterwards. Nevertheless, I like how they don't let go unless you want them to. I just wanted to mention I got them purely because you recommended them, and like others, I value your opinion.
Well that’s some pressure… I hope you like them 😂
I really like them on my M12 tools and tape measure. They work great on other tools too, but it depends on where the belt clip is located on the tool. Sometimes I prefer the Spider Pins
Great video. Some good tips in here. Would love to get those sawhorses, I can find out is $60 but I think it’s still worth it
Yeah they took them off sale. They are really good for portable saw horses 👍
I thought that was a great list. You covered a lot of bases and price points. I’ve got sawhorses but I’m picking up a set of those this morning.
They aren’t the fanciest pair, but they are light, compact, and work.
I really like them. Appreciate it my friend 👍👍
@@MORGANSMaintenancewell it wasn’t the morning but just grabbed a set. They are much more sturdy than I thought they’d be. Thanks for the great tip.
Glad you got ahold of some. I’ve had quite a bit of 2x lumber stacked on mine and it didn’t phase them.
I like my other ones, but I can generally only carry one at a time, and they are harder to set up.
I got you to spend more of your money… so that’s a win 😂
I have a lot of these tools and feel the same way about them. There are some here I don’t own, but I will soon.
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. They have been really good for me 👍👍
Dude KwicKan ORDERED!
It’s a big time space saver for me… I really like it 👍
Interesting stuff
Appreciate it 👍👍
Guess I will be going to Ace tomorrow for some saw horses , thanks Joey. #clippidydoodah
You’re welcome… that’s a good deal if yours has them. They are never in stock at my Home Depot.
I will count it as good, but if you don’t care to edit your comment and put a # in front of clippidydodah. That way someone doesn’t give my grief if you win.
I don’t check for spelling and things… as long as I see something close it counts in my opinion.
Good luck
👍👍
Just found your channel. Great video!
Appreciate it… Glad you found me 👍👍
Definitely gunna buy those stanley saw horses. Thanks for the vid!
#CLIPPIDYDOODAH
They are really basic… but super easy to use. I think you will like them.
Good Luck 👍
Those Knipex self adjusting remind me of Craftsman RoboGrip from 30 years ago. That Oclip is handier than I thought it would be.
I've had a few people comment that on the review video for them. I never had a pair of those.
The Oclip is a really handy "tool bag" light for me.
I didn’t care for the Hultafors pencil. The clip always comes out of my pocket when I try to pull the pencil out 🤷♂️ No problem with the Pica. I don’t often need a sharpener so that’s a plus
Mine stays pretty good… but mine stays in my mouth a lot 😂😂
My hultafors has too much of a grip. It's hard to take off without nearly damaging my pantaloons
@@aonghusofaolain8686maybe I got a defective one. I seem to be the only person to have this problem
Dude thanks for the Stanley sawhorse deal just bought em what a deal
You are welcome, glad you got some 👍
Clip-a-Dee-do-da
Where did you come up with that?😂😂😂
Keep up the great work, I like the videos!
I was singing yippidy doo dah… 😂
Love the clip idea for the ladder! #clippidydodah
That’s with the spider drill pins… but you can get clip holders for the Nohlster also.
Good Luck 👍
Solid content brother! Well thought out and explained 💯
Appreciate that buddy 👍👍
I do like those Vessel ball screwdrivers. I have the one that ratchets and converts to a stubby. I was looking to get those caulk condoms as I throw out so many caulk tubes each year. The Kwikcan looks cool too. #CLIPPIDYDOODAH
I have one of those too, it’s one of the few ratchet screwdrivers I don’t mind.
Every time I take one of those red caps off it’s just like a cut the tube open… they work really well.
Good luck 👍
The quick can is great for yard work if you are working by yourself.
The lightweight saw horses are easy to cary, but are easy to knock over. The heavy saw horses are harder to knock over but, they are heavy.
The caulk condoms are great, but if you have a small hole in the tip the caulk can get thick at the hole if you don't use it for awhile (LockTite Power Grab) . Stick a nail in the hole before using the cover. It will give an opening for the caulk to pass.
Good tips… thanks 👍
Keen to try out Nohlster and Spider tool holsters. Unfortunately they seem tricky to get your hands on in Australia. Typically I like and can rely on the larger style belt clips that come on M18 tools for hanging off my tool belt. However that doesn’t seem to be the case for m12 tools.
#clippidydoodah
Stinks they are hard to get…
Good Luck 👍
Great tool list! The Nolster clips look good! #clippidydodah
Thank You 👍👍
Just watched last years and on this year now! #clippidydoda
👍👍 Get you wallet ready 😂😂
Good Luck 👍
#clippidydoodah awesome videos keep up the great work.
Appreciate it and Good luck 👍
Bought the Amazon caps some time ago. Dried up in the tips regardless. Still, it's easier than some tape applied on the tip.
I’ve had pretty good luck with mine… even with Lexel tips which usually always get clogged.
#clippidydoodah Well thought out list. Love it!
👍👍.. appreciate it
Got a high torque-low speed vessel electric being shipped at the moment, been on my wish list since the first time i seen you with it. Can't wait to try out the red caps, one of those belts, and getting my hands on some Jersey detailer!! #CLIPPIDYDOODAH
You are going all out 😂
Good luck 👍
Looking forward to the 3D printed packout video. #clippidydoodah
I need to buy me a printer and figure out how to do it..
Good Luck 👍
I love the Collins coping foot on my DeWalt barrel jigsaw. Also it’s expensive but you should try the DeWalt electric screwdriver. That gyroscope is a game changer. The Torque Test channel rated it as the #1 electric screwdriver
I’ve eyeballed it several times. I may give it a go one day. I think I would get the one that changes from straight to pistol, is that the one you have?
#CLIPPIDYDOODAH Great video! Outstanding info and explanation. Thought I had everything, but seems I missed a few tools. Thanks!
I aspire to have your tool collection someday, I’m not sure where you store them all 😂. Always appreciate your videos!
Good Luck 👍👍
Ordered two sets of those horses
A lot of people have been picking them up… that’s a good deal. 👍
I need some of those no holster clips I do a bunch of metal work roofing
If they fit the tool you want to use them on, The Nohlster or the Spider Pins are the way to go. I really like them both. They both have been the best I’ve used, and I’ve tried just about everything.
Mine for the year is my Dewalt impact driver. I’ve used just a drill with a clutch forever, but I’ve been loving the impact. Great videos!
#CLIPPIDYDOODAH
They both have their place… and are both nice to have.
Good Luck 👍
#clippidydoodah. I like that hashtag hahaha. i also love the vid. great one as always
Appreciate it… and Good Luck 👍
First top 10 you showed I ordered the Kwickans. Going to put the Knipex on my Xmas wish list. I hope I don't like or need anything else. :) #clippidydodah
It’s just money 😂😂
Good luck 👍
I love the skil electric screwdriver. It’s been a handy tool during trim outs. Your videos have made me buy more tools this year than any other RUclipsr 😂. Thanks for the videos keep up the great content! #clippidydodah
I’m every wallets nightmare 😂
The SKIL is really good for the price…
Good Luck 👍
Picked up some sawhorses. Wish the ace link was an affiliate link so you got a cut, but I truly appreciate your time and the video!
Appreciate that, but I’d rather someone save a lot than me make a little. 👍👍

Yeah, everybody has a thing they are into.. at least ours gets used to do something productive. (That’s one justification I use 😂)
#clippidydoodah I hope I’m not too late!!! Love your channel. Most of my Christmas lists has come from your tool bag.
Unfortunately I did the drawing this morning… there may be more in the future.

Sad. I just spent $50 on 2 sets of sawhorses because of this video 😂 thanks

#clippidydodah 🎉. Great video. Learned a lot about tools I’ve never even thought of.

Might have to get that laser.#clippidydoodah
If you do any estimating or drawings it’s super nice… it has several other great features as well.
Good luck 👍
Great Video! I really enjoy your content on here. I ordered the tang thru Phillips screwdriver from Amazon. The ceramic ball rattles when I use the tool. Did you have the same experience with your tang thru screwdrivers?
Yeah they rattle some, I don’t notice it while I’m using it, only if I actually shake it. I may not have mentioned it in this video. I believe I did in my review for it.
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought is was defective. I guess it was designed for the ball to move freely inside the driver.@@MORGANSMaintenance
@@thywillgetserdone yeah they probably can keep it real tight because if you hammered hard the Ceramic ball might break.. (that’s just a guess, I have no idea)
On the Stanley saw tables get to, but....The leg caps do fall out worth hot gluing or glue the foot ends in place clippity dohdah
👍👍… I haven’t had it happen to me yet, but good tip
Thanks, you’ve sorted my Christmas list! 😂
Thinking about getting the smart grip cobras… any downsides you’ve experienced vs the normal cobras?
#clippidydodah
Sometimes the handles are spread out a little farther than you might would adjust the regular ones, but it’s great to be able to just squeeze and lock on. Just wish they weren’t so pricey.
Good luck 👍
I'm definitely going to check out those Stanley Sawhorses and that Bilateral Laser Distance Meter! Great video, thanks for making it! 👍
Appreciate it. I thought the laser was a “cool” idea at first, but the more I realized how to use it… the better it got.
#clippidydoodah I do enjoy your videos. I want to do a similar kind of business model like you are. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
In many areas of the country the work is there like crazy.
If you decide to do it, good luck to you… and Good Lick on the giveaway 👍👍

The drawing was a little while back… but maybe they will send some more at some point.
Appreciate you watching 👍
Love your stuff brother
#clippidydoodah
Appreciate that!

I need to try out those vessel screwdrivers people really seem to like them. What I'd really like is for vessel to make some 1/4" socket spinner handles with that ball style, or even better a ratcheting version as well. Not sure if a 1/4" hex to square adapter would work in any of their drivers. Those screwdriver style socket drivers are a lifesaver when starting nuts when I'm way up high on metal grating especially when I'm wearing winter gloves and I drop more nuts than I start.
#clippidydodah
They have some ratcheting drivers that are also a ratcheting stubby when you pull the shaft off. They are pretty good.
Good Luck 👍
#clippidydoodah let's go!
👍👍 good luck
Lots of good stuff surprised you didn't spring for the tool boxes in your leertop that open out the side
#clippidydodah
I got this one used for $1000. My plan was to add them/build some… but after using it while waiting for time to build them, I decided that I like that I can reach my entire bed by opening the doors.
Good luck 👍
Try looking into the rack a tiers trash can really compact
I had looked at it once, I couldn’t tell how durable it would be.
Great tool Suggestions. I have similar tools but will be looking into that Vessel powered screw driver also, where can I get that tactical vest?
It’s an Atlas 46 vest. They have a website, but they are sometimes on Amazon.

As I said great content and I know what you mean when you say about it costing you an arm and a leg. Shipping can sometimes be ridiculously expensive. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
