I already have this nifty little item, and Ive watched a lot of reviews/instruction demos to get the most out of it, but your video is by far the most concise, Thanks.
You are correct about the 3rd reference point. It is from the tripod attachment point. Page 21 of the user’s manual. The stake out function is also convenient for measuring stud locations in walls. Great job. Very clear and concise video. Still need tape measures for working outside in bright sun light or without reference points haha. I wish they made an aftermarket case like for cellphones.
Works just fine with the Bosch MeasureMaster app. Don't be fooled, you will only discover that when you make a picture: be sure to make contact with bluetooth, within your project tap the menu and choose photo's, draw a line, tap the same line again, tap the entry box for the dimension (finally the pictogram of the lasermeter appears), tap the icon, tap 'measure' and have fun :-)
Mine when I use the function and the carousel show up there are only those symbols are there, no label or name of the mode. Theres no Real Time show there. Did I received a knock off?
Hi ... i've seen several reviews of this amazing product ... my only question, which i've been looking is that, does it measures in meters, or say SI units ... unfortunately none of reviewers have covered this part, your answer will definitely help me click "buy now" ... regards ...
Use the 'target cards' or put something at the end of the pipe for the laser to hit. I use this for trim, baseboards, pipe, wood etc, all you need is a contact point at the end of what you're measuring.
MeasureOn app is in the Google Play store at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bosch.boschmeasureon, recently updated 9/1/2020 to Version 1.3.8. As you inferred, center measurement is referenced to the tripod mount according to the users manual at www.boschtools.com/us/en/ocsmedia/GLM50C.pdf
I bought this because I am an architect and also real estate appraiser. I am now thinking that I bought the wrong item as it does not have a type of measurement that’s called Pythagorean (my Stanley laser had). In order to get that measurement using this Bosch I would have to use one of the targets that’s received in the box, which takes more time to do that particular measurement. Can you tell me if it’s there and how do I find it?
the GLM 50 does have this feature and can be accessed easily, see page 4 and 5 for referenced features. www.manualslib.com/manual/1252779/Bosch-Glm-50-C.html?page=4#manual
Hi there Just today I buy GLM 50C But I couldn't attach with blututh pleas will you teach me that how i can contact Glm50c to my smart phone . And other thing that sales man told me it is 50 m But the lesser light not reached to 50 m Is something wrong with it ?
I have a GLM 50 CX for sale at the moment, brand new, still in the box. Purchase would be made through OfferUp to provide both buyer and seller protection and to handle shipping. Let me know if you're interested. I use a GLM42 nearly every day, and I love it. I got the GLM 50 CX as a gift a couple months ago, but I couldn't justify the cost for some Bluetooth functionality and some modes that I simply don't use in my trade.

You made an over 20 min. video. It took less than 3 min. to decide for sure you are not to smart. 1: too much talk about the size. 2: absulutely unnecessary hand gestures, screw up tbe focus 3: I assume you watched the video and did nothing about it. I got one today. Great device- the only thing I wish I could do is turn the laser on in level mode after tinkering

Is there a way to lock the display reading up to 1/16"th and avoid 32nds. ?
Thank you for the explanation. I’m going to use it for when I bend conduit.

What's the difference between gml50c vs glm50cx?

Damn, I got as far as 7 minutes in before my eyes started hurting...dude, you gotta do something about your camera focus! That was hard to watch.

Absolutely you can switch between metric/SI and Imperial. In my honestly opinion it actually measured more accurate in meters/mm than inches
How can you measure pipe with this device? Being a plumber by trade I'm looking for a more accurate method of measure.
not the best tool for pipes... I'd say a precision digital caliper is what you need amzn.to/3bmNaWP
just put the end of ur pipe against a flat surface like a wall
