Francis-san, I'm glad it was easy to follow. :) My students at the college sometimes struggle to follow the concept of repeated actions.
It was so helpful. Thanks a lot!

こんにちはゆこせんせい。I am a Japanese 1002 student with GSU (also ignore how I didn't change the hiragana to kanji. My laptop is being extremally weird with wanting to change names into katakana and I wanted to avoid it doing that) who is studying for my Lesson 6 test (te forms are lesson 6 in the third edition for those confused) and your video really helped me study. I know your students were lucky to have you as a teacher.
ありがとうございます。Thank you for your kind comment. I hope the test went well for you!
@@YukoSensei got an bit of the るs mixed up because my Brian blanked on the U and Ru verbs rules, but other than that i did alright:). Thank you again for the amazing video!

Hi Yuko Sensei! Thank for always giving us lessons that are so useful. Anyway, I am trying to get your ebook. But, unluckily I can't because I have only a JCB debit card. Currently living here in tokyo for 6 months.
What's the difference using imasu and te imasu to explain about repeated action?
Thanks for the video! Regarding the last example “My mother works (does job) at ______”, would 「母はレストランではたらきます。」also work as an answer, with the same meaning as 「母はレストランでしごとをしています。」? Thanks again, I just found this channel, and greetings from Brazil!
Marlonさん、Yes, the verb はたらくcan be used too but you still need to make it into TE IMASU expression. So, it's going to be 母はレストランではたらいています。I hope this helps and welcome to my channel. :)
Yuko Sensei Thank you!🙏

Is it wrong to use 'masu' form of the action verb to express regular / repeated actions instead of -te imasu??
Is it right if i wanna say- I was watching japanese drama. Ans - uchi de Nihon no darama wo miteimashita.
Hi yuko sensei I have question to say story which one should I use 物語 or 話 is because I don't know how to use them and in which situation should I use them?
Thanks!!! どもありがとうございます
First of all, thank u sooo much for your videos, sensei. Your method is awesome.
Regarding this topic, I wrote the following during a presentation:
私はアンダルシアの人です。
私のしゅみはハイキングです。ハイキングすることがとても好きです。 毎月、山に行っています。
I used the てform cause going hiking is a monthly routine for me.
But my teacher corrected me saying 毎月、山に行きます。
Now, after watching this video, I'm even more confused.
Which one is correct, then? Could you help me, please?
Thanks in advance, @YukoSensei.
Hello sensei, I want to ask what are the verbs that need to have shite (do) after the verb? in the video, for drink i see there are no '..shiteimasu' you just change and add -TE but for walk after sanpo you add shiteimasu. Really need your further explanation regarding this. Yuroshiku Onegaishimasu.
These are called suru verbs and shite is the te-form of suru, they were originally nouns but adding suru makes them verbs.
My English is not that good I hope you can understand.😌🙏🏻

Does anyone know,
is it possible to use 「歩いています」 instead of 「さんぽをしています」?
Or is 歩いています only used for a human walking and not a dog?
Hi! You posted this a while ago but if you were still curious the answer is 散歩する is the best verb to use when talking about walking a dog.
3:21 - In my language it's actually just the same, the verb itself has the same form in both situations, we have to take the meaning from the context...
私はポーランド人です。
So this comes from the TE form of the verb?.
ありがとう ございます 先生、日本語 を べんきょう して います
Professor, I have a question. How to work verbs on the future, for example "I will watch this show".
ます form is both present and future, it’s all in context
@@mamaluigi0993 どうも
in the example " i drink juice every morning" why didnt we add particle "NI" after MaiAsa ??
Sensei why we are using TE form in sentences? What differences in meaning is using TE form?
Harō Yuko Sensei. Shitsumon ga aru, yoroshiku onegaishimasu. Kore wa tadashiidesuka?
Watashitachi wa mada doyoubi no yoru de Moーru ni iku no?
私たちはまだ土曜日の夜でモールに行くんだの?
Is it okay to use 2 NI particles for the time and place on this sentence? Like this:
Doyoubi no yori NI mōru NI
I used DE for "Saturday night". Should it also be NI instead of DE? (Because DE indicates PLACES, right?)
Sorry I'm kinda lost. Thanks in advance!
Tokorode, Yuko Sensei no レッスンからたくさん学びました!よかったね!がんばりつづける
Jolaniさん、It is totally ok to use one particle multiple times for different functions in one sentence. So, in this case, you can mark both 土曜日 and モール with the particle に. But I didn't understand what you wanted to say in the sentence. Why do you have まだ (still) in the sentence? If you provide the meaning in English, I can help you better.
Oh sorry, I wanted to say "Are we still going to the mall on Saturday night?"
We haven't gone to the mall and that Saturday night was supposedly the day we rescheduled it on. So I used まだ to mean "are we still doing it" instead of また which will mean "doing sth again". Do I make sense? Hehehe thank you!
@@jmmymm さん、わかりました。Then, the sentence has to be (私たちは)まだ土曜日の夜にモールに行くの?(Informal speech) or (私たちは)まだ土曜日の夜にモールに行くんですか?(Formal speech)
@@YukoSensei san, so does this mean I used まだ correctly and just need to change DE to NI for Saturday night's particle? and I now understand that we can use the same particle multiple times in one sentence as long as it's used correctly. ありがとうございました for all of your replies! More videos to come and take care!

Yoko sensei, Domo Arigato ! How to say I walk to market everyday to eat my breakfast?
Watashi wa mainichi ichiba ni asagohan o tabete arukimasu.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Rainbowさん、"I walk to the market everyday to eat my breakfast" will be
Mainichi まいにち everyday
ichiba ni いちば (or マーケット)に to the market
asagohan o tabe ni あさごはんをたべに to eat breakfast
aruite ikimasu あるいていきます go by walking
→ まいにち いちばに あさごはんをたべに あるいていきます。
Here the particle に in たべに is the purpose marker and it marks the stem (たべ out of たべます) of the action verb to say "in order to eat." Hope this helps!

Is there a difference between 毎日寿司を食べています and 毎日寿司をたべます? I still don't quite get it...
食べています/食べている - is eating
食べます/食べる - eats, will eat
But for your sentence 食べます/食べる would be the choice, since sushi is somerhing you eat every day I guess
