There is information on the internet that Blind Mellow Jelly was a fictional character. Good to know he was actually a human being. I love his voice. Redd Foxx really had a good ear when it came to music.
I had no idea Blind Mellow Jelly was from Florida. I'd always read that he was a Mississippi Delta bluesman, but his origins are so obscure it's possible he was born in Mississippi but eventually moved to the Florida Panhandle and did his recordings there. Interesting. BMJ's vinyl records are incredibly rare, so if the uploader has an original gen record as it seems, that's some *serious* value in the vinyl rarities market. I don't know if it's as much as Fred Sanford's librarian told him, but it's definitely a collector's item.
Thanks to Red Foxx....for Sanford and son shows....I watch almost every night..two or three episodes...then I switch to the Jeffersons and the honeymooners and the rifleman, and guns smoke, ....I keep away from news they give Trump the Grabber way too much air time😂😂😂

I think the picture shown here is Blind Willie McTell. An old song by this title is by Robert Liam S. Is this a scam?? Is Blind Mellow Jelly just a Sanford and Son episode?? I can't find him anywhere but there and here--
This doesnt sound authentic,in the way the vocals almost seem like its somebody trying to replicate that old Southern Blues tone but they didnt live in that time. The guitar work is great but it comes across more modern than 1946. Its not a bad song but it just doesn't have that feel of the true old Blues music.
