By the way, I'm aware of the online multiplayer problems people are reporting. Please sound off in the comments and let me know if you're also experiencing the problems. I was able to get a few good games in Battlefront 1 but Battlefront 2 on PC had issues. Hopefully they get these issues fixed ASAP
If you have contacts with any of the developers please let them know that some people really need the y-axis inversion option for infantry. I know im probably in the minority but i cant function using the default aiming system. It was available in the original games. Dont know why it would be removed. Thanks
I can’t believe they messed up the release of this so bad. I got this to play online with my friends and have a good time. I can’t even do that. Hopefully they fix it as soon as possible. Still a legendary game despite the online flop.
For me the controls on console are ROUGH, even when maxing out the sensitivity on PS5 the turn speed is horrendous, I found a work around by turning on game mode on my TV but for those that can’t do that, the frame rate and sensitivity is horrendous. Controls matter and if those are bad then the entire game and gameplay isn’t enjoyable, please spread the word to them if you can @starwarshq

A big issue for me is random sound effects being pitched down, like the victory/defeat themes
And the sudden burst of grenades or a blaster to injure an ear drum

Main reason I got this, for my Switch. Super happy with my purchase, but I do hope they fix the online for people soon. Seems like they’re already communicating with the player base and making changes so that’s good to hear

I refunded on Steam to send a message on quality of life changes and such, alongside the multiple server issues on both games. I imagine console players winning the most out of this!
Being a PC player, this Classic Collection is a ripoff that takes 62 gigs of space. I’ll repurchase when the game is patched and fixes the loading sound for SW BF1!

I never once deleted comments about the game. This is a COMPLETE lie. Also, in my review I clearly stated that I did not get to experience online because I had a PRE RELEASE copy.

Nearly 16 hours after release, the online is a lot smoother - talking from PS5 perspective, living in UK - Way more servers to choose from now and the aspire dedicated ones especially and running very nicely

Instead of looking like a PS2 game they made it look like a PS3 game. Which i like alot, not hating, if they made it way to similar to recent graphics it wouldn't be the same.
For a soft remaster not bad...
Usually these games need remakes but unrealistic.
But I like hard remaster that tweak and clean up everything to push out everything that's there... kingdom hearts to me did the best
I've been having a blast in campaign on BF1. The graphics do look quite a bit better. Everything feels good on the steam deck so far. I'd give those negative reviews a grain of salt. It'll all get ironed out. I've got loads of fun content to get into with both games until then.
Would've also been nice with a higher polly count, make it a bit less jagged
The only reason the "old game" looks that bad here on long flat floors is because you didn't turn on anisotropic filtering
the netcode wasn't fixed for multiplayer, we still experience rubberbanding hitboxes and distance lag since the shutdown of GameSpy in 2013
64 players is TOO MANY! Most of the areas are too congested & you can’t move around the map much. Also, to still have only a 100 kill limit the games are over in just a couple of minutes!
Had to refund it, couldn't deal with the horrendous online. Really blows that I couldn't enjoy a 20+ year old game with my friends. I'll just go back to mods

1 thing I've noticed on the Naboo lvl near the courtyard there is a ramp you go up to "get the high ground" and the cover is invisible.😂😂😂 It's so funny.

Battlefront 1 plays well but 2 isn’t smooth for me for whatever reason

The aiming online felt awful. I ended up getting a refund. Maybe if they end up fixing all the issues I’ll buy again down the road… on sale…

To be honest it barely looks different at all aside from lighting reflections. Im pretty sure there are PC mods that did it better.
I bought it, but wasn't impressed. This was definitely my most played game as a kid and I don't know if it was the online performance this morning, the stuttering and jittery players with ping issues. I just felt like it was a cash grab. Didn't notice much of a graphical improvement over a PS2 and I got a refund. I'm sure it'll be free to play within a year.
I mean, this video shows there is a pretty massive upgrade in lighting, reflections, and textures. HUD and UI also. All the menus are also redone in HD with proper scaling. If you haven't played thr game in years, then I'm sure your memory has you remembering it looking a lot better than it actually did. Especially on a PS2, which of the 3 original versions, had the worst graphics

I'm sorry but... the graphics barely look different lol. I just bought both I and II a month ago so this feels too insulting of a coincidence that they release this pack.
They should have included Droid Gunships/LAAT gunships on maps like Mygeeto and Kashyyyk as originally intended back in 2005. Also large scale space battles. This brings nothing to players who don't care much about multiplayer (those servers will be dead within a few months)

Coz a remaster, fixes everything. Adds maybe additional content that actually is a big change. Not just adding maps that were already there and making the graphics brighter/smoother

@@kapthepol8312, it’s a remaster to me. Because I remember the PS2 graphics being SO blurry and couldn’t see stuff WAY ahead, like trying to see a sniper shooter. Now, through this collection, you can. It’s kinda similar to the Kingdom Hearts Remaster, you couldn’t clearly see stuff before, but now, you can.
@@chadgaming8288I dunno I literally played the old one just before the classic collection. Literally not much difference its just brighter in some areas. But I can still see with the sniper shots. Plus this is just a re-release, remaster changes the whole dynamic. This is just one skin overlay for double the price of the old ones which still can be bought and played on the PC with multiplayer servers that have 64 slots also
the ai did a surpringly good job, though it seems like they didnt update the character models at all

I like the game but am a disappointed that it is not crossplatform, me and some friends were hyped to play togheter for once (am the only console player in the group so). Hope they add this in the future but will not hold my breath.
Anybody else have a issue where when you beat a mission on rise of the Empire in bf2 the end cutscene won't play and skips to stats

I saw a few issues on PC. CIS Ship engines appear off during flight on Mygetto space. Movement difficulty around command posts on BF1 Geonosis. Only bugs I've encountered.
Droid tanks on kashyyk don’t have animated treads, just a static texture.

It's been great for me. I prefer to launch this than the older PC versions since I'm a controller player and I get splitscreen with my wife. We used to play this as kids. I still play the PS2 version on moble in bed through an emulator. The menu is way better as well. Larger textures=larger install but that isn't bad when you have a good resolution The only downside for me is that sound effects seemed to be turned down a lot. I didn't try online play because I only got in 30 minutes this morning before work but I'm looking forward to try when I get off work. It's not the main reason I'm getting it though. I'm running on linux and it launches with no need to troubleshoot or workaround so people with a a steamdeck will most likely be able to play fine as well. I think the game will be okay with some hotfixes and updates.
Honestly, im just happy to be able to play this again, instant action with someone else or the campaign mode.

@@zacharyobrien7328 all that has been done on PC for years, the reflections don't look as nice as you think, quite unnatural in the jedi temple segments especially. They could have updated the player models, redone some of the animations. They couldn't even replace battlefront 2's menu clips with higher quality film clips.

Played a few games, terrible experience. Connection was dog 💩, sensitivities for shooting and movement were all over the place.

For ps5 users, i am getting a weird occurrence with my controller when i play BF2. When I'm playing a game as any trooper, the firing button on my controller is harder to press, like there's some kind of programed haptic resistance. As soon as i pause the game, or I'm in the menus, it goes away. Anyone else getting this?
The game has haptic triggers for the ps5. I have no idea how to turn them off and they’re in by default.

Console has the same problem from other videos and things that I've read. But Aspyr is aware and working on it.
I played this game some late last night. I can't wait to play more after work. The games look so beautiful and play super smooth.
Overall performance on switch is great.. we do have some audio bugs.. Sound missing in cinematics.. so BF2 perfect story campaign is so far pretty mute. pun intended..
during gameplay we get spikes in audio volume. Audio is oddly waay lower in BF2 compared to 1.
But as a Parent that got it for playing splitscreen with the kids its well worth it.. but hopes towards bugs getting fixed.

The only thing Aspyr has made me do was to buy EA's Battlefront II on this sale at Steam... I was so eager to buy Battlefront again, and when I saw what they launched, got EA's one to fulfill my desire... What a big let down for fans

Who gives a shit. The developer destroyed this port with multiple issues. That's why it has a 20% rating on steam. I played an hour and a half to see the shit show and it was just bad. Refunded... I hope everyone else does the same thing because developers who thinks it's okay to release a game at this stage need to be punished.
Don't expect any updates beyond them making it "playable". This dev has a history of releasing games and abandoning them for their next project....
I wouldn't call this an improvement all they did was sharpen the og textures you can do this in photoshop and as for the reflection it's just a roughness map baked into the textures it's again something you can do to any texture in photoshop or gimp do they look better yes but it's not really that much work.
Someone wanna explain how 343 made halo and halo 2 anniversary look way better than this and charged $40 for more games and battle front doesn’t look nearly as good for $45 and in a time where it should be easier and look better than both halo anniversary games lmao

So before this video I saw different sizes, especially in the sharpness of the textures.... 😅
Some of the darker interiors look worse, they removed too much of the darker parts so they now look weird.
I decided to wait a month or two before i buy this and i figured that most would rate it low and have multiple complaints as they seem to have with EVERY game that comes out.
Always loved the originals and was glad to see a remastered version of these.

EDIT: also this is a disgrace of a re release. The graphic update isnt even noticeable as far as im concerned. Its nothing like lets say the halo 1 remaster that actually felt like a remastered game. This feels more like someone took the quality of the graphics from 360p to 480p its silly.

The graphics look awesome & very smooth in the Classic Collection & the same thing applies to Dark Forces Remastered.
I downloaded the Classic Collection on the PlayStation 5 last night before I went to bed & I did play for about a half hour.
Would anybody else wanna see remasters of games like Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith or even the Super Star Wars trilogy?
I would've also included Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, but all we got for that was a pretty mediocre Game Boy Advance game & no PlayStation 2, Xbox and/or Nintendo GameCube game with better graphics & such.
