Not sure if Pam's Pro is the same as Pam's New in this respect but I found that Pam's New does NOT like input sync voltages greater than 5v. If your bpm on the sync'd Pam's is jumping around a lot this may be the cause.
Are you perhaps expecting the Din Sync adapter (note no Midi in name!) to convert a MIDI Clock ? It doesn't do that - for that you need something like the mmMidi .. see the syncing with Midi section at 3:28
@ I bought the sync din midi cable off your site, one side says clock the other I assume goes to the run input. when I push play in Ableton it doesn't play my modular patch clocked by Pams ,
No, I've never heard of something working like this... are you sure your DR55 has been correctly modded ? - this wouldn't technically be Din Sync. You could work around going through an O/A/x2 and inverting or a simple logic gate.
@@busycircuits uSync kit is the mod. i have clock and run signals on pins 1 &3 If I recall correctly, the dr-55 works the other way around, so 0 Volt is run and +5Volt is stop.
"The din sync adatator doesn't work with midi clock signal" I don't get it For eg : if I connect my deluge midi out to pam with this adaptator, it won't work? Could you please explain the possibilities with this adaptator? Thanks !
'Din Sync' is a simpler syncing only 'protocol' which predates the more complex and general MIDI protocol. Unfortunately for whatever reason they share the same connector (5 pin DIN) but are not compatible. Thus for the Din Sync adaptor to work your device needs to be able to specifically output Din Sync. Advise you check the manual for your Deluge - some devices can output either Din Sync or MIDI from the same port!
@@busycircuits thanks very much it's crystal clear. I didn't know about DIN SYNC. For DELUGE user's, we can sync with gate 3 and gate 4 (just make sure to set the voltage at 5v instead of 12v)
Perfect timing (no pun intended) - I was just trying to get all the clocking sorted in my rig this evening. Thanks!
Voltage-controlling the clock frequency blew my mind! Never would've thought of that, could be an interesting way to make your beats a lil wonky
anyone know how to sync midi out from Pams/ppexp1 to something like a Roland tr8s?
I updated my brand new PPW with the 1.27 firmware and the external clock syncing demonstrated at 6:04 in this video isn't working like that anymore.
Oxi One + mmMidi + Pam Pro + PPExp1 + Pam New = Let that sync in.. ❤

not working, with the din sync midi adapter .. not sure why its not syncing to keyboard or laptop

is there a setting to reverse the run signal from low to high to high to low? i believe this is needed for my din sync mod for the Boss Dr-55

The previous model PNW had as second wave option a square low to high used for reset signal, the new PPW does not, how do u create it?
PPW still has this - is now named 'stop' (and associated 'start')
Do a lot of these methods work with Pamela’s NEW Workout?
Yes, pretty much!

lot's of useful stuff here. I assume the info in the ableton section applies to bitwig, right?
General techniques should apply to any DAW.
Reccomended 😊
