Our band opens with this song (while completely announcing this as a Galaxie 500 song) I absolutely love how it shifts the mood from a metal show to a psychedelic/garage/shoegaze set within one track.
Not exactly true -- as a teenager in Nowheresville, USA, I learned about Galaxie 500 from MTV ("Postmodern MTV," which was the precursor to "120 Minutes," I think). I still remember seeing the video for "When Will You Come Home" and knowing it was something special.
There's Americans who are huge fans. I am one of them. I play this song on particular on repeat. But yea there's a lot of boobs here especially in the Midwest. I'm California American, my parents were hippies. We are a different breed of American. 😂
Judging from Dean's autobiography, I'd say this seems unlikely. Though the reissues have been on Damon and Naomi's label, so I'm guessing there's at least a limited agreement.

This still holds up to this day. Incredible music
Kazoo intro ftw.
I'm still listening this song my favorite song❤😭
My favourite Galaxie 500 song.
I'm not sure how I found this song when I was in high school but to this day it's one of my favorites.
‘I walked alone down to the drug store!’ The amount of times I’ve listened to this song whilst walking alone down to the drug store.

Absolutely brilliant .......
Yes yes yes.
Still goin strong till this day, till this day
Adore them 💙
love this song
This band was to cool for Americans; Europe got it. I don’t think this was even broadcast stateside, Galaxie got zero press here.
Back in the 80's 90's they were a well known band over here in the Uk, still love em.
That's usually how it goes. Americans don't understand much if there aren't tits or fart jokes involved.

Or don't. They already gave us more great music than the vast majority of bands. It's okay for that to be enough.
wow!

Go buy your new truck!!
Explain
sounds like Pixies
no...
No ._.
It's not Pixies, that's Galaxie 500
a bit
Not at all. Sounds like The Modern Lovers clashing with Jesus and Mary Chain
