"Neve" means snow in portuguese (and they used the portuguese pronunciation), and since she is an ice mage it fits with her.

Thank you. 🤗 I'm most excited for Lucanus, Emmrich, Davrin and of course Harding, but also Bellara, Neve and Taash. They all have something interesting about them.
This was great! So interesting. I love tarot and I loved the tarot cards in Inquisition. I didn't realize Lucanis has 4 blades, very cool. Also the Veil Jumpers using both Elven and Tevinter magic honestly just made the faction a lot more appealing to me.

Maybe not Corypheus, since Dorian had already found his real name and family in DAI, and i don't remember it being Gallus.

They’re was Veilguard concept art showing a Tevinter mage who kinda had the same look of the blighted magisters like he was freakishly tall. Many think this is supposed to be the Archon of tevinter so maybe Neve is related to him???
@@user-ep7ml2ix6q since every companion seems tô have some special thing going on(even harding) she Will propably have something too. So maybe she being a descendant of one of The first darkspawn magisters would be quite the twist
Being a descendant of any of the magister darkspawn would be a pretty epic backstory. Something you don't want widespread but that allows you to have knowledge and insight. A reason more why the Venatori want her dead.

Bellara definitely gave me 8 of wands vibes, her card reminds me of the RW version of it and she appears to always be on the move. Literally and figuratively

i feel like davrin gives off were wolf( or ex were wolf) vibs just based on his card but i could be wrong
Oh, like the elves from the Brecilian forest? That would be an epic backstory. As a fan of the supernatural, I would be so down for that.
I cant wait to play as my character from inquisition and see all my companions. Hawk is gonna b mad and sarah is gonna make jokes about solas breeches.
The companion dwarves can be mages but we cant make a mage dwarf character 😢
Runes, maybe? Dwarves we’re doing some interesting things by the end of The Descent, too.

Agreed. They made a tarot deck for DAI and now they are bringing back the tarot concept for the character creation of DAV and other aspects of the game. It would only make sense for there to be one.
Listen I know the broody betrayal romance is kinda a staple of the series at this point( I was victim of Anders and Solas🥲)but I’d like this game to have relationships that have some conflict in them but not out right manipulation and a secret plot u get dragged into in some way.
Totally get that. Some angst can make a romance more powerful overall. I would prefer however that any betrayal come from non-romance characters.
@@DarthShadie In the developer Q&A they did say friendships will be more impactful in this game maybe Lucanis( I’m just using him as an example because of his broodyness) will betray you and pull an Isabella and come back to save u realizing that ur relationship platonic or romantic is more important than whatever his goal is
Each game has had at least one that seems conflicted and can be prevented from betraying you, but I'm just gonna say there is quite a bit of conflict in the Fenris romance, mostly centered on Fenris feeling very unprepared for what he's gotten into but not being manipulative about it. I'd also argue that my sarcastic Inquisiter who ultimately got together with Cassandra had a some conflict in there, they had similar goals and nothing was manipulated but she didn't always appreciate his joking around. Perhaps Liliana from Origins? I don't really remember the romances from this game as well, but that's likely down to the age it came out in affecting how they were written than anything. Tried to give a conflict including romance from every game that doesn't include a betrayal. Turns out it was surprisingly hard in a couple places.
@user-ep7ml2ix6q I like that idea. I also like that friendships will be as impactful because while I may romance a different companion each play through, I want my friendships to be as meaningful.
