"Wake the fuck up Rook, we have a world to burn".
"I am sorry, Solas, I've lost the match."
If I find out any NPC is named Arasaka, they are getting killed . And God forbid any NPC be named "Dexter" 😂 It's on sight with him.
@@Russman67 What if their name was Michael Myers?
@@thirdcoastfirebird Well, I'm not just going to shoot him once and call it done.
@@Russman67 Good.
Everyone keeps referencing Johnny Silverhand but you’re gonna be all out of sorts when he’s more akin to Emperor trying to influence Tav in BG3.
They're both my favorite characters of those games so it's perfect for me lmao
Sounds like the Rook and Solas relationship will be like Johnny and V's in CP 2077.
Edit: I wrote this comment before you mentioned it in the video. My bad. Lol.
@@littlemouse7066 Prbly meant cause Solas is stuck in the fade but is connected to rook im guessing u talk to him throughout thw game from within ur mind
@littlemouse7066 you're being too literal. It's the dynamic of main character able to talk to someone linked to them, that's trapped. Sure Johnny was just a digital ghost the moment his mind out to the chip but like Solas they're trapped and only main character can converse with them for most part.
@@littlemouse7066 I meant just the dynamic of speaking with someone in your head and developing a relationship with that person that can be positive or negative.
@xsvrrx Also a good comparison 👍🏼
I hope not.
I am really curios how solas and inky romance is getting handled. I think we really need closure on that front and hopefully the two of them are able to finally be happy together...maybe in the fade maybe in thedas who knows at this point lol.
Same... My inky romanced him, but at the end of trespasser I said I'd stop him no matter what... I really hope that wasn't a choice that means they broke up/I ended the relationship, because I want that conflicted lover drama so badly... Plus, if given the chance, my Rook might side with Solas now... I need all the drama that'll bring ha.
Im secretly hoping for a second pov gameplay. Its our inky i wanna make their choices 😭 lol
@@n7kiingfreshii599 that would be really cool honestly I am hoping they do something similar so then we don't have a hawke dai situation where if Hawke didn't mind blood magic but ends up saying it was bad.
@@LizzyClaireStuffs exactly! The devs cant possibly remember everyones inky variations. But we the players can remember our own inky’s choices. Obviously they already have the game mostly done at this point, i hope someone thought up the cool dual protag twist. Like Witcher 3’s Geralt & Ciri.
Among many legends and myths that seems to have inspired Solas' story arch, I also believe he's following the trail of the stages of grief (Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance). Solas seems to actually be stuck somwhere between denial and bargaining where he is both refusing to believe his people are dead and gone, but also LITERALLY bargaining for their return by tearing the Veil down. That's why Solas plan has no place for modern elves, because it is driven by his grief of his own people, not modern elves.
That also mean that if Solas lives on in the game and is freed from the Fade, he has the opportunity to go through the next stages of his journey: realizing the ancient elves are no more and that nothing can bring them back, sending him into a depression stage for who knows how long. And then later down the line accept the death of his people and move on. His empire is lost but not all is lost cause there's still life, and there's still a land, and there's still people. not the one he lost, but others that could welcome him.
I really like Solas' character... My canon inquisitor romanced him, but when I completed Trespasser 9 years ago, I said I'd stop him no matter what... All these years later, I kinda want to side with him now... Please Bioware, make *ME* the active betrayer this time... My canon class is always Mage, so it'd still fit the "mage always betrays us" trope of Dragon Age🥚🐺
Umm…what about in Origins? Loghain was no mage, lol
Yes... morrigan
@@odst123451 that’s what I’m saying, unless it was the guy that took over the Circle of Magi creating abominations…or Jowan…but those were more so mages going rogue rather than outright betrayal 🤷🏼♂️
@@kalaelizabeth how did Morrigan “betray” us when she came back at the end with a ritual to enable the Hero to survive killing the Archdemon!?
Only way to make her turn her back on you is by betraying her first…nice try…
@collegebro85 you're arguing semantics. Morrigan is operating on her own motivations with her child and even more so in the Witch Hunt DLC where you can literally stab her. If you chose differently that's fine but it doesn't change that she's operating for herself and doesn't help with the final battle if you refuse her ritual.
It kind of sucks the way they positioned him. I had hoped that once we get to the end of the game as rook, the choice to decide his fate would be determined by the inquisitor.
Considering the dialogue that was released it can be safe to assume the cannon ending in trespasser of the inquisitor "I'll prove to you that you dont need to destroy this world" and his reply was "my friend id love nothing more to prove me wrong once again" then the dialogue of veilguard "ive taken steps to minimize the damage varick" clearly the inquisitor had a profound affect on solas (regardless if its cannon of it being a romanced female Elf or not.) My first playthrough will to help and see where it takes the narrative.
Based on that theory, it would imply that solas’s original plan was to just remove the veil and use the other races of Thedas as cannon fodder against the evanuris to bide his time and defeat the evanuris.
Only thing is this time there is no one true world state.
people are like 'he's so evil' but even if he HATES the inquisitor he still fixes their arm not to mention he said in trespasser disturbing the qunari invasion gave a few years of peace and people were like b what??? but he likely could have done this ritual at ANY time. he took so long to do it because he obviously held off until he HAD to and in my opinion aka until the prison of the evanuris was going to totally break which to him is a worse fate than random demons coming out (kind of like inquisition). like to me, those two evanuris who are now 'free' are both ten times worse than cory.
I like the idea of having Solas as a conflicted mentor. He's made various decisions that will have a significant impact. With Rook and the new companions, it seems like a good chance to really understand the repercussions. I think it will be an interesting challenge to keep Thedas in one piece.
I totally agree! Going to be interesting to see how it plays out
You made another great video with more fabulous info, thank you. I've just started reading Tevinter Nights as you suggested and when I read the chapter "Callback". Seeing all the old NPC's in this chapter gave me a great thrill. Especially being back at Skyhold with Dagna, Cabot, Harritt and Sutherland with his crew made me really happy since as my Inquisitor I gave them the opportunity to become a big part of the inquisition and eventually Sutherland becoming a knight. It was so good to see them play a part and I hope a part of that chapter appears in Veilguard.
That's awesome! I love that chapter and it makes me so sad 😭 there's a lot of other cameos throughout Tevinter Nights too!
It's nice to have confirmation on the Inquisitor coming back (Mrs. Evelyn Rutherford🥰), but I'm hoping there will be appearances from Hawke and *something* from the Hero of Ferelden as well.
Hawke is definetly not coming back , totally confirmed.
@@andrews6341 Wow that sucks. Hopefully we'll at least get an update on him. I imagine my Hawke would be with his pirate queen somewhere lol.
They said we might see Hawke later so I’m fully prepared for a fade DLC or something where Hawke might be involved
hawke doesn't really need to come back in my opinion and we already had them again in DA:I, HOF would be nice but I get how it would be hard
so yeah, at least happy with the inquisitor and it's going to be fun having my inquisitor romance solas and come back
the drama and angst will be so juicy
my first inky was noble who romanced cullen too but i ended up loving my lavellen more and her mess of a relationship haha
It's it just me or has something changed with Solas. His dialogue in the gameplay reveal talks about the Veil as a wound that must be healed. He also says he had taken precautions to minimize the damage. He talks like there is no better option. This isn't Solas in Trespasser who was going to destroy the world to remake it for the elves. It sounds like he might be trying to save the world.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to destroy the world? It’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make
So he’s just being nice minimizing the damage
To him in his thought process, bringing back ancient Elvhenan _is_ saving the world, though. He doesn't _want_ to just tear down the Veil anymore now that he's been a part of the Inquisition and gained friends in this new world (and ESPECIALLY if he romanced Lavellan), but he feels he has to in order to restore how things were, the magic and grandeur of Elvhenan. To me it seems he's looking at the ancient world through rose tinted glasses, but even still.
That's literally how he was in Trespasser too. He believes it's the right thing to do, because the world is broken. That's how he always was.
@@grinstrashcan Sort of. See in Trespasser Solas is very much "I need to destroy the world to recreate the world of his time." The tone now is different. This sounds more like he is trying to save the world as it is. Also with his previous plan, why would he minimize damage? He was going to literally remake the world. Why worry about damage? I could be wrong but I do think something changed.
@@Carblesnarky of you’re talking about the ‘precautions’ line it was more about him preventing the evanuris from escaping than anything else though.
For me personally, I want my Levellan to be able to yell out her pain and grief at Solas through Rook. She searched for him for 9 years! And he went and got himself trapped in the Fade completely beyond her reach. In a sense he may as well be dead. I NEED to hear him say "Ir abelas ma'vehnan." He said he was sorry in trespasser for lying and misleading her, but I need him to be sorry for ever leaving her at all and for seeing the agony she is in knowing she may never see him again now that he is trapped.
Thank you for covering all of this! I am so excited to see how you can develop a relationship with Solas in a different time as a different person and from such a different perspective.
I cannot wait to see how the reunion between Solas and the Inquisitor goes
Solas is one of my favorite DA characters, I hope there is a secret ending where Rook and Solas launch a desperate assault on elven gods on their own.
I keep barking on, but this would've been a lot more impactful if we had returned as the Inquisitor. Like this story is so much more personal if we had been the inquisitor. Sigh, oh well.
calling it. Lucanis DID die, and fused with either a spirit or demon
I did not play Cyberpunk 2077 but the relationship between Solas and Rook reminds me of the relationship between the Emperor and the MC in Baldur’s Gate 3. Which delights me to the utmost.
Me too it's my favorite 😍
@@kalaelizabeth Same. Which surprised me because at first I didn’t care much about him until I saw all the nuances of his character. Now he’s my favorite as well.
I never expected Solas to be 'evil'. I'm surprised he's far less involved than i expected, but I expected him to be someone who wasn't 'evil' for evil's sake. Always knew he'd be trying to do what he thought was right just was wrong about what that was. Granted, I'm thinking I won't bring in the Inquisiter I romanced him with for my first play through, probably going with the one who did not get along with him but gained a grudging respect during Trespasser. It's a more interesting dynamic to me.
Also quick note, the betrayal has always come from the first mage who joins the party so far. I'm not counting Bethany because she's in your party right from the start and if your Hawke is a mage like mine she's already gone by the time you're recruiting allies. What im getting at here is I'll be side eyeing Neve especially.
“Solas and Rook made a boo boo.” I don’t know why but I adore this perspective. 😄
This plot twist is just incredible, I was not expecting such writing quality even from weekes. I'm hyped
It sounds like its going got be either a parent/child or mentor/ apprenticed aka Darth Sloas the wise
Wild theory on how solas' story could end: What if, depending on Rooks relationship with Solas, you could either choose to just leave him trapped in the fade if you antagonized him or if you reached an understanding with and persuaded him to alter course like Varric died(possibly?) trying to do. And the only way Solas could leave his fade prison was to sacrifice his magic. Meaning he would need to accept the current state of the world since there would be no way for him to actually bring about the destruction of the fade but does open up the possibility to reconnect with inquisitor.
Lots of theories swirling in my head after the gameplay reveal.
Bioware: You've already romanced Solas with a main protagonist
Me: and I'll do it again!
On the romance front, I seriously doubt Solas will romance Rook if the Inquisitor romanced him. However, if your Inquisitor didn't I could see it maybe. Maybe the connection is a way for non-elves to romance him.
I was against it at first, but as long as Lavellan can sort of "complete" her romance with Solas (if you're continuing a romance from Inquisition) then I think Rook being able to romance Solas on a different playthrough would be kind of cool. I guess it depends on how it's handled. Solas had a good reason to not want to get involved in a relationship in Inquisition, but now that we know his plans and who he is, maybe he doesn't really need to "hide" any more and can be himself.
I hope BioWare will close the story of the Hero of Ferelden one day. They're not my favorite protagonist but their story was definitely left up in the air, and had big implications for the Grey Wardens.
Rook is going to be my Solas and Lavellan's adopted child... and Cole's little sister. :p
If they're pumping out new articles every other weekday, I'm really thinking the game is launching sooner than we think! Come on, September!!
I really hope Rook won't be able to romance Solas. It would be ooc for him to accept someone when he hardened his heart after DAI 🙄
He has his priorities straight.
Thank you!!! I’m so tired of the people who want Rook/Solas making me feel like a horrible shitty person because I do not see it making sense in his character for him even if he is unromanced by Inqy. It’s the same few people too on different platforms being that way.
People can ship who they want though. I only romanced him once so I’m not that attached to that relationship. A few flirty options in dialogue wouldn’t break the game.
@@maiafaypeople can ship who they want. People can also not ship who they don’t want to ship. That’s kind of the point I’m making at least. I don’t care people ship it. I care that people keep acting like jerks if you don’t ship it, don’t wanna see it, or don’t see it fitting his character regardless of being romanced in DAI or not.
However I do think it’s completely out of his character for this to be possible in DAV. DAI was the window. If we have the option to flirt I’m pretty sure he would just shut Rook down and reject it. It would be interesting if the shut down varied based on relationship meter. His rejection being savage if you have a bad one with him. While the higher the friendlier his rejection is lol. But that’s a different discussion.
I have the exact sane questions about what this dynamic will mean interacting with other people, especially the Inquisitor and especially if its a romanced Inquisitor.
I feel like they've spoiled too much already, all I'd like to see in the future is the character creator and maybe some mid game fights especially as a mage. The gameplay reveal trailer imo had more than enough story bits to get you into it. Also hoping for an early release for the character creator so on release I can just jump into game
I'm of a few minds with regards to a potential Solas romance. I think Lavellan was able to get to him in Inquisition because he let his guard down and was completely blindsided by the fact that he could even have friends in present-day Thedas, let alone a lover. After Inquisition, those walls were back up and he likely kept himself completely isolated, so by the time we meet him in Veilguard, he could likely be completely closed off to the idea of any new close relationships. Then again, this is him at possibly an even lower point than he was in Inquisition. Stuck in the fade, his plan completely backfired, etc. So he could maybe allow himself to open up further to Rook, even more than Lavellan since Rook knows exactly who he is.
I think it would be a nice touch if this romance is only possible if he never had a relationship with Lavellan, thus giving players that didn't romance him the option, while allowing Solasmancers to get their reunion.
Overall, I don't need it, especially since I'm coming from a Lavellan playthrough. I think a perfectly acceptable way to handle it would be, if you form a friendly relationship with him, you can have Rook suggest a romantic relationship, to which he would gently let them down and say something along the lines of "Maybe once, in the past, but not now" or something idk I'm not a writer lmao
I finished Cyberpunk recently and the relationship between V and Johnny is one of the highlights of that game, so having something like that for DA is just *chef's kiss*. Would also love that whole "what if you can betray your companions?" kind of thing, it'd make the relationships so much more impactful.
Imagine they go the cyberpunk route and Solas can temporarily control Rook.
Then Solas in rooks body continues the Levellan Romance...
They did say that some of the romance scenes get weird and i cant think of a weirder yet still fitting romance of Solas using one protagonists body to fuck another
I don't think that Solas would romance Rook. He was hesitant to romance Lavellan
"Solas and Rook made a Boo-Boo!!" Well, at least they didn't make a Yogi ... or a Yao Guai!! That would've been too much to bear!!
Opps, wrong game franchise!!
As long as my Lavellan can get some kind of resolution, I'd be down for the option for Solas to be romanceable by Rook (in a different playthrough). It could be really interesting, considering he doesn't have to hide who he is any more.
On my first playthrough of Inquisition, I was never really fussed about Solas, but played it again recently, focused more on him, including the trespasser DLC and could see what the fuss is about. I can see why they changed the title though, because he's clearly not the main antagonist in this game
if you can betray the veilguard in my opinion that should be an option for the elf race that would make the most sense lore wise
I feel like Solas being in a fade prison is fitting. There is not one character that needs a time out more than him. I'm not a solamancer. I don't necessarily hate him, but im 100% not going to fall on my sword for elvan glory, especially when it seems it was the elves all along.
I was potentially going to go elf for my room, but I’m wondering if it would be more interesting if solas develops this sort of relationship with a non-elf.
I’m planning on a qunari grey warden myself and considering Solas disdain for them in inquisition I’m really hoping for a fascinating relationship between the two.
This was such a great video! Now ik what the icons for the classes mean, we get extra dialogue with certain backgrounds. Time for my Lords of Fortune Slayer to make an entrance
I watch you tweet most of this information and still watch the video every time 😭
I feel that it is very unlikely but I still pray daily for more appearances from Magisters Sidereal. They have so many answers and with Razikale and Lusacan on the loose it feels necessary to me to have some input from them. I know we have already met two out of the seven, but I gotta say in both cases it was underwhelming, as Architect doesn't seem to care enough to remember anything pre-Darkspawn and Corypheus wasn't that keen on talking about anything but himself.
Or maybe I spent three years running a Dragon Age TTRPG campaign that prominently featured Watchman and Augur and I can't get enough of them.
See I really like that twist,I never really saw solas as evil just stick to a fucked up decision he felt he had to make,I really like the idea of continuing to try to understand from trasspasser
Well to be fair antagonists don't have to be evil.
Loghain wasn't fully evil either, just paranoid about Orlais invasion.
@@MichaelIlos that's a great point m
I hope Varric doesn't die. 😢
already confirmed he does by a dev accidentally speaking of them in past tense.
This has not been confirmed lol
Damn, why someone speaking about Solas make me so damn vulnerable and emotionnal.
Gosh.... Im biased and I dont want my inquisitor story with him to be "forgotten" but DAMN at the same time i just want to say
Lets freaking destroy this world together my Egg :)
I feel like all these reveals is Bioware's form of damage control after the trailers and the crowd response. They probably think by revealing story info we're going to be more receptive when really we just want to see the character create screen😂😂😂. I've spent too many years with shoulder length bobs, topknots, pixie cuts and bald heads. Give me long hair that gets stuck in trees dammit!
So glad you saw that article! I read it last night and ... was sooooo jazzed! :-)
This is promising! I don’t want to get too excited/ahead of myself, but being able to help Solas restore the world of the Elves (and hopefully Dwarves) has been my dream since playing a Dalish/City/Mage Elf Origin in DA:O. I’ve tried to make the world better for Elves & Dwarves across the game series and I really want to be able to see it through in DA:VG.
Thank you for the non-spoilers timestamp! 💖
Tbh I didn't expect the article to contain so many spoilers when we don't even have a precise release date yet. So I got a bit burned, but I don't really want to completely stay away from coverage yet...
As a PC player only, I'm not excited about 'Controller' references. It's sounding more and more like DA: V is a Console port to PC, and that makes me nervous about keyboard/mouse input jank. Please tell me I should have no fear, Kala.
I actually played Inquisition with a gamepad on PC. It was more enjoyable for me.
Yeah this is why I don't like rpgs being on consoles much. You can usually tell that everything is built around making the game more accesible for console/controler - and as a mage/spellcaster player I looove having tons of spells so only three slots for abilities (buttons) kinda scares me.
That has made me concerned too. I fear they might go capcom route with the pc version
As much as I agree with you (I much prefer playing with keyboard and mouse on PC) I have to admit that building your UI around a controller is more inclusive. After all, it is much easier to use a controller on a PC than a keyboard on a console. If you can't compromise with both you should always favor the controller. That seems to be the norm these days.
I just can't do WASD movement, so I had to use AutoHotkey in order to get mouse movement for Inquisition. Hopefully they will have something built in this time.
From Solass to Solwas to Solnice.
At least Solas looks cool.
To me, Solas was always.. there. This contemplative & eccentric elf who is helping my Inquisitor. Tresspasser absolutely shocked me! I am fine with wherever they go with the story, I know it's going to be rich and engaging either way.
In cyberpunk2077 there’s an ending where V can give there body to johhnny and leave to explore cyberspace beyond the blackwall while Johnny literally gets a second chance at life something similar could happen Solas has spent centuries fighting for the elven people trying to give them back there immortality regardless of the races you choose if this ending could happen solas would be trapped in the body of a mortal would be a poetic ending him being forced to live as one of the people he was willing to sacrifice
YES! So glad WE get the option to help or hinder Solas, cuz ever since Trespasser, I have been on board to help him 1000%! Just hate we have to go in and stop him in the first place…
I’ve mentioned in other videos of yours; I am disappointed that my Hero of Ferelden is still missing. However, it appears this game is almost completely devoid of anything we have done in the past. Oh yeah, I get to see my Inquisitor, but a one-armed archer is hardly going to be useful. My relation with Solas is one of gently ignoring him. I guess it was too much to hope to either see my previous protagonists together or at least a Dragon’s Kept variant to weave my story in. Make no mistake; I plan on buying it, but reactions like yours will determine if it is a week one purchase or wait for a sale.
Thx for the video, Kala. Didn't wanna watch it until I finished Tevinter Nights. Just give me 10 min of Solavellan with the Lost Elf theme playing and I'll be a puddle. BioWare has a chance to make one of the most epic romances in gaming. I hope they give it to us🤞
10:10 The phrasing makes me think about casting spells with input like in a fighting game. It's clearly not what they're going for and I don't believe this would work for DA, but it makes me wonder if a game like that could work.
Other than that, this is great work, as usual! Two big question remain, and I hope you'll be able to report an answer to them soon:
-Is Varric OK? Well, I doubt he's ever been truly OK since DA II, but is he safe?
-Will (Virulent) Walking Bomb come back? Will it require a specialization again?
I'm actually bothered that your not playing as the inquisitor in this game. It very clearly is an extremely direct continuation of that storyline from Trespasser and the base game, even all the characters involved are members of the inquisition mostly. Its not a new thing like with DAO to DA2 or DA2 to DAI. If they just have the Inquisitor show up once or twice like Hawk its going to feel weird like we are butting into "in my case" Inquisitor Lavellan and Solas's story and taking it over.
I’d argue that DAI is intrinsically linked to DA2’s ending and that it would’ve made narrative sense for us to play as Hawke again in DAI. It’s not as direct a continuation as DAI to DAV, but still. I’m glad they’re keeping the series format as a new protagonist each game, especially if Rook has more role playing options than the limited Inquisitor.
I made my Inquisitor vow to try and change Solas’ mind at the end of Trespasser, but I think it would be really interesting to play my Rook as more of a “stop Solas at all costs” kind of character. I wonder how it would play out in-game if Inky and Rook are diametrically opposed in that way, especially if Solas is tied to Rook now. I hope we get something similar to the V/Johnny Silverhand relationship in Cyberpunk, where you can go from hostile to slowly warming up to one another over the course of the game and understanding each other better
When you think about Bioware games and having traitors, remember in Knights of the Old Republic, you were Revan. You were potentially the bad guy. Also, if you played Jade empire correctly, you again could be the bad guy. It's been a while since BioWare made that kind of twist.
Solas and Rook, TAV and the Emperor, Johnny and V, starting to see a pattern.
Kind of reminds me of the relationship between your tav and the emperor in bg3
Also describing Morrigan as a traitor is sacrilege 😂
Wasn’t a fan of that answer about Rook “They chose to be a hero instead of chosen” as if our previous protagonists didn’t also choose that.
They didn't really. Each of the Heroes of Ferelden became Wardens out of necessity/desperation. Hawke was swept up in Kirkwall just by trying to live their life, and the Inquisitor had really bad luck and was saddled with a magical mark on their hand directly tied to the world-ending event happening at the moment.
It's pretty accurate.... the inquisitor had no idea what was going on to start with and was given the mark and basically thrust into this war whether he liked it or not as a "chosen one"
You could say Hawke and maybe the Warden chose it but it was absolutely forced upon the Inquisitor which the game let's you lean into as well.
@@kalaelizabeth While yes they got the Anchor forced on them, all my Inquisitors still chose to help people. After all the whole reason they got it was because they heard someone asking for help and chose to help them. Many could have stayed out of it, even being given the option by Cassandra and Leliana, yet the Inquisitors didn’t but chose to stay.
Regardless of what you chose the anchor was forced on them. The Inquisitor has no choice in the matter.
I have mixed feelings about this connection with Solus. At the end of Trespasser, my cannon ending was trying so hard to redeem my friend but utterly defeated in my attempts to dissuade him. So, I joined the opposition, resolving instead to save the world as it is.
If I get to treat, rebuke, and call out Silas as Rook the same way I could treat, rebuke, and call out Johnny as V, that’ll be fun. Solas will wish he was dead.
Just hope it’s not a case where even if we don’t like and disagree with him we’re still forced to do what he says. I despise Solas and don’t like how we’re stuck with him like this, and will hate it if we’re forced to be his lapdog.
I just want to side against Solas and take him out once and for all. If that is possible, that may be a reason to buy this. If we are forced to side with him ignoring past game choices, then not buying this. Too much has already been taken away from us in the new game already.
From the game informer article about Solas : "... "It allows us to, hopefully, give a good conclusion to all the varied attitudes toward Solas that are going to be coming from people who love Solas, who agree with Solas, who hate Solas, people who want to kick Solas off of a building ... "
So looks like we're not forced to side with him
Seems there may be hope
I’m excited to see if the connection between Rook and Solas ‘can’ turn into something more. I always headcanon my OC with a character I like, and I know Solas was definitely a polarizing figure in DA:I (you either love him or hate him). For me, I love Solas. He’s an interesting character and there is still so much about his motivations that remain a mystery. I honestly can’t wait for Veilguard! 💜💚💜
#ENCHANTMENT!
I really need to be wowed with some mage based gameplay as everything I've seen recently has just sapped my interest in one of my favourite game series.
Thanks for staying on top of this news, Kala. So I don't have to :D
Thank you for the updates I can't wait to play this
The only thing that BioWare has done that is pure evil is Darth Malak. I am glad they are going this route with Solas.
Solas cut my hand off at the end of the Trespasser DLC . I'm not sure if I can forgive him for that .
I haven’t played any of the games but spoilers don’t bother me.
I think that Solas either gets out within the main story or in a DLC
7:21 Lavellan told me to give you a kiss ... ehm... do i really have to ? xD I can't cut this thought out of my head xD
I don't hate Solas but he's too extremist about the elven supremacy and their restoration lol
My Rook is going to LOVE tea, and Solas is going to be disgusted 😅 Also wouldn't it be cool if Rook could harness Solas's abilities and turn into the dragonwolf from Tavinter Knights?
is this gonna be playable on the steam deck?
Kinda low-key need them to just be quiet and stop with the spoilers 💀
I like all the information but i really hope that they don't spoil anymore y waited so mucho for this game for just them star making spoilers. I just want to see the character creator and some combat in the mid game.
when i find out the name of the last quest ill save just in case killing solas keeps me from getting a good ending. i really dont want him around but will re upload my save and let the man live if it effects my ending to much what you said about betrayal i wish you wouldnt have said anything lol its going to stress me out on who it might be
I'm really going to miss a true melee mage like the Arcane Warrior and Knight-Enchanter classes.
One of the mage specializations is Spellblade which is apparently a battle mage with melee options.
@@bonedrone9869 Good to know, thanks. I had heard it was "melee" but I didn't know the name. Spellblade sounds more like the previous classes.

Apparently there are magic daggers to
I want to yell at him and tell him he's Elf Voldemort. :D
11:11 This is likely to limit our speculations.
Where did your new video go? The title "When is Mass Effect 5 is supposed to come out?"
Interesting
I can't understand why Bioware thinks a villain is obligated to be one-dimensional, since just if Solas were a villain we might get an interesting villain with a reason why he's doing it, rather than the usual standard evil for evil's sake.
i wouldnt put it past solas to try and seduce rook into submission. seeing all the info they've put out, the name change makes sense. solas isnt my fav DAI romance, but it seems like that quizzy interaction will be the most interesting. honestly, ive seen enough to be convinced to buy it, so i hope any further reveals stay away from story spoilers.
Johnny comes across as narcissistic and juvenile even if fun and insightful at times, Solas comes across as wise and mature even if he suggests hidden agendas as well being a smart ass at times.
It is pretty obvious Solas will return to the "good side " and win the day . This game hopefully will be decent but it does look like it is distancing itself as an actual RPG and looking a Mass Effect game.
But Mass Effect *is* also an RPG...
I would personally enjoy romancing Solas in this state as someone who could never get into it in Inquisition due to the inherent power and information imbalance!
ngl him being stuck does piss me off
I’m definitely “guttin” him if they let me 😂
💜
I know I’ll be in the minority, but as Rook, I wouldn’t mind the option to romance Solas or at least flirt with him. Rizz him up a little. Sadly I don’t think that’s going to happen.
Maker bless you for doing this so i won't have to read shit
