    I spent the entire day trying to make Iron Bull a damage dealer capable of surviving tough fights to no vail. Then I found this. I haven't finished the video yet but already I like where it's going. I will never ignore a video that emphasizes the importance of critical chance and critical damage.

    I think ive made every kind of build possible from origins right up to Trespasser but in all that time I never considered using Rogue armor on warrior reaver ! Sure ive used Silverite to let mages and rogues try out heavier armor but I never thought to do this to bump up the crit, nice work ! :)

    The upgrade to the Combat Roll would allow you to break free from stun and knockdown effects. Saves you from letting Ring of Pain drain all your stamina when you're unable to stop it.

    thank you for this video especially the early part about crafting cos i was totally confused about all the high crit warrior and mage builds id seen using medium armour when whenever i tried to cract any it always said rogue only and you cleared that up with just one sentence about the snowfleurs so i appreciate the video and gave it a like just for that golden nugget of information alone :)

    meant to add this in my previous comment and forgot lol the Curse of Morrac blue helmet comes from the locked tower on the frozen lake where u farm the snowfleur which u need a rogue to unlock and its in the very first container at the top of the winding staircase

    Cunning gives 0.5 critical chance, not 1.

    where did you get the serrated great sword?

  • @metamofia

    I run a party with Assassin rogue, Rift mage (Solas), Tank (Blackwall) and Reaver (Bull) so i'm looking into the ultimate balance.
    I'm now investing some time on my Reaver. I have the Andrels Cleaver on deck with a Superior Battlemaster armor through the Short List. Thing is, i'm not sure how should i craft them. Like which attributes should i focus on? I heard you mentioned cunning but what else did you go for? I'm thinking of adding fade touched silveritte into my base armor for guard on hit +5. Can you enlighten me?

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  8 лет назад +1

      +metamofia I go for offense on armor, personally. Cunning for the Reaver was specifically for critical chance, that's why I modified the rogue armor with Snofleur skin. That also plays into the ornate battle axe, which has a lot of slots to add crit chance/DAM. Basically, what I do is pick a path and stick to it. If I was going for base damage, I would stack STR and ATK% on everything. Going for Crits, I stack Crit chance/DAM on everything - armor, weapon, rings - everything. I would not personally spend anything on guard/resistances/etc on a Reaver, as I consider Reaver DPS, not tank.

    • @metamofia
      @metamofia 8 лет назад

      Ninja Flips So you would go with Dragon Bones on your base slot for high armor rating?
      Hmm, so for your weapons you go for Crit Dmg whereas for armor you go with Crit %? What about strength? Do you invest on that?
      I'm so confuse with the way how the character gears work lol. I mean i wish i can know what ability to focus on for individual classes

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  8 лет назад +1

      metamofia STR = ATK for warriors. CUN = crit chance all classes. I put cunning in my armor (rogue set) for extra crit chance, and crit chance/dam in weapon slots and on rings.
      If I went for strength, I would put STR/ATK in everything - armor upgrades, weapon, rings. All of one or all of the other. I could care less about armor rating on a Reaver. I treat it like a warrior-rogue basically.

    nice vid bro,lots of thinks I like to do with my Reaver build ,how came you don'nt hav Charging Bull, it's give you guard,that you might wont Because Reaver Build Kills Heath

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  9 лет назад +1

      Thanks man. Charging Bull is Friendly Fire (unless they patched it), and can easily wipe anyone in the party that's in my way If you favorite Shield Wall with Cass/Blackwall, they will give you extra guard here and there, as well as Cass' Focus ability, which she can use pretty often if everyone's focus gain is up.

      Mythical Mike83 Check around the 49:04 mark, the behavior settings are there at the end of the party build section. I usually include my party build, tactics settings and behaviors in my build vids when it applies.

    I've been watching your videos for a few days and started playing Dragon Age. My question is can one re-spec ability points? Or have to start over? Any way, thanks for the videos.

      Yea anytime you want - at your blacksmith will be a little merchant stand thing that sells re-spec amulets. The first is 1 gold, then @300 gold after that.

    how does a 2-Handed templar fare against reaver, cause i heard good things about wrath of heaven followed by spell purge

    • @Austinjt126
      @Austinjt126 9 лет назад +2

      +lkim100 WoH and SP work extremely well against all enemy-types in Multiplayer. Sadly, it stuns, then deals moderate damage to demons in the normal game. As of the Trespasser release, you can now alter the ability to also temporarily effect magical enemies AND demons, but you still need to target those enemies first, which is really a pain.
      All in all, Reaver is probably the most-damaging Warrior class you can potentially take. Templar is more of a support class and partial tank, whereas Champion is the official tank class. Ironically, both Cassandra and Blackwall have very reliable AI's, so there's truly no reason to even take these classes, as your party members will fair really well using them by themselves.
      However, running Reaver with War Horn is ridiculous with Cassandra as a support tank. Not only does she function as the taunt-n-tank, cast War Horn near her (or have Dorian cast Fear), and immediately have here use Spell Purge. It removes the Fear effect (which should actually be a bug, since it's a beneficial effect for you, not the enemy), and instant-kills most ads, and severely injures most higher-ranked enemies.

    So we need Cuning,Dex,STR ??

    • @NinjaFlipsTV
      @NinjaFlipsTV  8 лет назад +1

      CUN = critical chance, and gives horrible returns (0.5 % per point of CUN) But, critical chance needs to be buffed somehow, until your critical hit rate is where you want. (I like @ 65-70%) DEX is critical DAM, and gives you 1 for 1, whereas STR, which gives the Reaver ATK, gives 0.5 per point. So where STR gives ATK, which applies *all* the time for a Reaver, the returns are lower than DEX, *as long as the Reaver is hitting crits all the time*. If you Crit chance is low, then it's kind of a wash between DEX and STR.

      You can check out Ninja's "berserker" build which is a Reaver build that doesn't use Dragon-Rage as it's main attack. Or you could always upgrade Dragon-Rage with the "Leashed Fury" upgrade that comes with Trespasser. Basically, you don't lose health while using Dragon-Rage BUT you can't spam it as it adds a 10 second cooldown to Dragon-Rage.
