    My favorite of the elven gods is Ghilannain. I love how she is the only one who wasnt a god but rise to be one, and how she created all these creatures even before being a goddess. How she creates all this different creatures, some so beautiful and graceful like the Hallas and others looking like monsters. How she is the mother of all this new creatures she create. Also how she is described as so beautiful and graceful but now we could see her in the veilguard and she looks blighted and like a monster full of tentacles and probably she is going to bring alot of gigantic monsters. Im so excited to see her in the veilguard

    Sometimes, a rival can also be a friend. Siblings can often have a rivalry, but deep down, you know your brother or sister will be there when you need them most

    1:49 Hades in greek myth is also the god of the dead and fortune. Though, technically, he's just the king of the underworld and thanatos is god of the dead.

    Super late here, but maybe June and dwarves stuff is about the orbs? Like some of the murals imply that orbs somehow connected to titans (like hearts maybe), they give whoever uses them an incane power

    Great chat. Really enjoyed it. Never delved deeply into the topic before. But love the idea that June is link with Dwarves though. If that is true, a whole heap of questions are raised and understandings challenged!

    What I'm wondering is- Mythal is a god of Justice but more than once she is also described with Vengeance, which makes sense. My problem lies in the fact that Elgar'nan is also Vengeance, and it seems strange to have them both be the same "virtue". It made me dig Elgar'nan's codex and it says that he VOWED vengeance against his father.
    Considering Pride demons can both come from Faith and Wisdom spirits i'm wondering if Elgar'nan was something else before becoming Vengeance. Something like Compassion, Honor or Valor that twisted into Vengeance when the sun burned the earth which would explain why Mythal and Elgar'nan both ended being associated with Vengeance.

      You know, I have a lot of feelings about Elgar'nan - he's definitely up there as one of my favourites. Hopefully we learn more about him and the others in Veilguard! (I've got a video for him that'll be out... Somewhat soonish?)

    Love that chat! I had two questions
    1, why is there comparatively little on Elger’nan? it feels like he should be the most prominent and most powerful as the head of the pantheon but I feel like information on him is comparatively lacking.
    2, why do so many people take Solas at face value and believe him? He is a proven lier and a literal trickster god, nothing he says should be fully trusted, at best he has his own bias and at worst he could be outright attempting to deceive us.

    • @ladysulevin
      @ladysulevin  4 месяца назад +7

      Unfortunetely, I'm not one of the writers at Bioware, so I can't really answer your first question - but my best guess would be either they didn't want to waste time delving into a character that may never turn up, and/or they wanted to leave it vague so they can add details later/avoid retcons. Also, this is just a big maybe, but I believe they've also left him intentionally vague to build up the fear/intimidation factor for him? He's this horrific character, leader of the pantheon - knowing more might just break that mystery and fear surrounding him and his capabilities? (literally all guesses on my part).
      Question 2 - hmm... I believe one of the writers (maybe/probably Weekes?) stated that Solas never outright lies, only omits information/tells you things he wants you to know (with the occasional oopsie on his part when he gets carried away). He's definitely a biased/unreliable narrator trying to decieve us, so I wouldn't be surprised if things he's stated turn out to be wrong/not what we thought. But truth be told, I trust when he says something he at least believes it to be true (or he's being purposefully vague/side-steppy to throw us off the scent).
      Hope that helps!

      There's a codex bit in Inquisition, that suggests that in the ancient elven Fen'Harel was more of a "rebel" than a "trickster"?
      EDIT: Also, since Elgar'nan has been confirmed for Veilguard, I do hope we get to have some serious discussions with the guy. Rather than just Attaaaack!! Kill Him!

    Oh! What if June made the foci? He's a craftsman and he's associated with fire. What if it meant he figured out how to lock all that power inside the foci?
    Andruil is definitely the worst.🤣

    43:30 I think you guys are messing up timeline remember theses guys lived for 1000's of years and Solas was friends to both sets of gods it was only after they killed Mythall that rebelled.

    • @AndE667
      @AndE667 3 месяца назад +1

      I'm not so sure he rebelled only after Mythal's murder. It seems like he was already helping the elves escape the Evanuris with Mythal. It was then that he created the Veil, though.

  • @AndE667

    I've got two ideas regarding the Forgotten Ones: Either they are the escaped elves who lived among the dwarfs (after all, that would Fen'Harel kin to both sides, the Evanurs just don't know that he's behind it), or that they ARE the Dwarfs.
    Maybe the chantry's creation story where it talks about the original "mindless" beings isn't about the spirits and demons, but dwarfs instead. AND unsatisfied with these beings, the creator made the elves next, thus making the dwarfs... "forgotten". And somehow the elves were able to sever their connections to the Titans, thus giving the dwarfs personalities. Kinda like when Architect puts the Darkspawn through the Grey Warden joining ritual.

    Super late to the party, but just wanted to toss this out here about Falon’din and Dirthamen… In a lot of real world mythology, gods and goddesses have different aspects of their personification. And in my head, they are two sides of the same coin. Perhaps sharing a mortal body, but they reveal themselves in different ways.

      About Mythal and Dirthamen/Ghilan'nain, and mainly Ghilan'nain's story. What we know about her in general is very interesting, but it's still so little. And I want to know a bit more about the possible (?) relationship with Fen'Harel
