    In the character examples for the Vallaslin section, I forgot Irelin. 13:23
    Irelin is a Dalish shapeshifter mage that is featured in Tevinter Nights: Three Trees to Midnight, as well as The Missing comic.
    I also forgot Mihris, the First of clan Virnehn - she's was in The Masked Empire, and you can meet her in Inquisition during Solas' companion quest 'Measuring the Veil'.
    (I need to go reread the comics, tbh, I completely forgot about them - I'm not a comic person)

    Loved this! I'm always up for some Elven lore. ✨ It's really clear that you put so much time and effort into this. Long form content can be a pain to make sometimes because it takes ages but you've done a really good job with this, keep it up!!

      Thank you! I really just love all the behind the scenes/editing, tbh, it's really nice getting to see everything come together and getting to hit that publish button at the end :)

    It does seem like there's a break or distinction between Falon'Din/Dirthamen/Ardruil and Sylaise/June, and later Ghilan'nan. It seems implied that the first three are direct descendants of Mythal and Elgarn'nan and the other achieved or were elevated to godhood later.
    As for the connection between Sylaise and June, I'm wonder if perhaps June's rise to godhood was like Ghilan'nan. She was a disciple of Andruil and became a god later after a great achievement (devotion to halla, creating halla, creating monsters, whatever the true achievement really was). The way they specified that June listened to Sylaise's lessons and then taught evles how to make things sound again a lot like a disciple (of Sylaise this time) mastering something and ascending to godhood.
    I think I remember that Minrathous has old elven buildings that are built with lyrium foundations(?) and the Tevinters could never figure out how they did it. I think June may have been a Lyrium weaver or a Lyrium smith. This would account for all his dwarven connections and also why the Dalish don't recognize ANY of his tools. Its because they were made for manipulating LYRIUM. He probably made the Lyrium coffins/lyrium bodies we see in Trespasser???

    My favourite evanuris. I fully believe june is the big bad. A spirit of wisdom and also connected to dumat.
    I believe him being god of craft work is because he designed the eluvians and the elvhen worlds like the library in tresspasser.

    • @ladysulevin
      @ladysulevin  Месяц назад +2

      Oh, I hadn't considered the possibility of him designing eluvians or the little pocket dimensions, that'd be interesting (wonder if they ever explain those things in future?)

    • @hughcurran6817
      @hughcurran6817 Месяц назад +1

      @ladysulevin yeah I hope they do describe how they made eluvians. With the fact I have only heard him described as clever june makes me think he was a spirit of wisdom.
      Then I like the idea he is the one who betrayed mythal. As mythal seems to be a spirit of justice, which has become vengeance.
      Though justice must always follow wisdom or become vengeance.
      That's what the judge is in our legal system.
      Someone wise to wield justice.

    Honestly, the ancient elves built things with magic so it wouldn't surprise me if June was the god of magic and the modern elves just sorta focused on the act of creation itself with him instead of how he created.

    I get what you mean about the pronunciation of June, but I think we can trust Solas's pronunciation of Arlathan.

  • @nikolasgrots334
    @nikolasgrots334 Месяц назад +1

    I think the reason why June is amongst Mythal and Falon'din in the grave area is either: he is the god of crafts - smiths make weapons for the warriors or he is the god of crafts - including martial arts/warcraft

    • @ladysulevin
      @ladysulevin  Месяц назад +1

      That was my instinct, too, though hadn't considered martial arts or warcraft, that's super interesting!
      I actually really love that warcraft idea - it kind of makes sense because after Tevinter destroyed Arlathan, of course they'd expunge any idea of warcraft for the elves? So it's very possible if June was a god of (war)craft, a lot of his lore got erased, except the concept of craft in some fashion... I really wish I'd thought of that before XD

    • @nikolasgrots334
      @nikolasgrots334 Месяц назад

      @@ladysulevin YES :D I can also totally see Tevinter doing that. On another note I can also see the Elves forgetting what exactly June was the god of, because they no longer had the magically advanced society or basically technology - that kinda makes me think what if he was producing things that could almost be considered magitech.
      I am not saying they had guns or anything but since that one codex mentions that the tools associated with him today were not really associated with him back then I could see him crafting these magical contraptions and what not :D

    I have the core rule book for the Dragon A.G.E. game, but I didn't get any of the moduels. I could get you what the text says about them , if you like
    my bingo card for the Elvhan symbols are as follows:
    1] Elgar'nan- front and center as the Horn/Halo. Head of the pantheon and the only one without thier counter part (Mythal). I do think the symbols are paird up like the pantheron tends to be spoken about in pairs, so that has influenced some of my choices.
    2&3] Dirthamen & Falon'din- flanking the central symbol, as The Tower and Three pronged circle. Dirthamen having a wizard tower of secrets just makes sense, and I think the silouette of the other symbol kind of looks like the Statue that Tamlin talks about in The Dalish Elf Origin.
    4&5] June & Sylasie- Ghildirthalen made a pretty convinceing argument for Sylaise having the Flower-Crown, or she convinced me at any rate. That makes June the Outward Horns by pair association; I do like the symbol association you did for June in this video, however
    6&7] Ghilan'nain & Andruil- the final two, where Ghil is the Pen Nib; this is sort of what I pictured the divice in Horror of Hormak to look like. Andruil I feel very strongly is Moon-head. Firstly, her Valislin is a bow across the brow of the face, similar to Sera's tarot card (do not subscibe to Sera is Andruil, let her be weird because she is normal and no one knows how to deal with that); the bow (weapon) looks a lot like Moon-Head. Second for the Moon-Headed sea-monster from the Bioware 25th Annviersery book, is holding a Golden Spear as Andruil is known for hunting with. I wouldn't put it past Ghil to experiment on their girlfriend, either by request or not

    • @ladysulevin
      @ladysulevin  Месяц назад +1

      I agree with a few of those lineup-matches :) I don't want to spoil anything for future vids, though so I won't say which ;) Love the insight! I will say... The Andruil one with the crescent-moon symbol I think is just so obvious at this point, there's so much backing that up - the ones you mentioned I hadn't actually thought of - spear, in particular (again, that'll be in Andruil's vid! I might tackle her after Ghilan'nain)
      As for what the text says about the gods in the rulebook, if you could let me know that would be amazing! ❤

    Hi Lady Sulevin, I wanted to ask you a question, and im sorry if I missed it in another video, but do you think the Orbs once used by the ancient elven gods, like the one Solas gave to Corypheus, were once the hearts of Titans killed by the Elves in order to make themselves godlike?

    • @ladysulevin
      @ladysulevin  Месяц назад +1

      Hey, so i don't think I've covered it before - but I think it's possible? I'm not convinced, and I haven't fully researched it (yet), but I definitely think it's possible.
