great video! how is the hardware acceleration on this linux build?
Hey man, great video, lots of helpful stuff here. But I do wonder, what acrylic case and RGB fan are you using for your Orange Pi system?
Where can I get both the case and the RGB heatsink cooler for my own Orange Pi 5B (w/WiFi) build? Please reply with links to where I can buy them.
Thanks in advance. ^_^
I got my Ethernet cable pluged in... but i have no connection and i did try it with a wifi usb stick too but nothing happens there too :( can you maybe help me with this problem?
Thanks for the tutorial. I've just got my first raspberry pi and I just love the little thing. This encourages me to look for a beefier machine. If Orange Pi can rum PS2 emulation, it makes it immensely usable.
I think there should be a note about the mixup of Hostname and Username in the ssh section, new users may not realize they are not the same information. Overall its a good tutorial and i like the look of that ssh client, definitely going to try it next time I'm on windows!
Also wouldnt recommend logging in as root on a device every time you access it, you should execute user-level commands from the user accounts that will be affected (especially file creation/program settings, i had some trouble myself last night with file ownership due to running some commands with sudo when I didn't need to, and then my normal username couldn't use some software I'd been setting up)
Great vid as always man. Stay tuned btw. Some surprises coming.
Thanks, I got started on the first OP5, but it wasn't working well enough to not get frustrated, will return to it.
It’s gotten a lot more streamlined. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the video. It's nice to find another channel with informative video on RK3588-based SBC, in this case Orange Pi 5 (big contender of RPi5). And I subscribed to your channel now because of that.
BTW, do you know if Orange Pi 5 would work with the new power brick of the Raspberry Pi 5?
May i ask where did you buy the case and the heatsink fan? Thanks much!
Not really related, but the Orange pi zero 3 is also a nice choice to play PS1 (emulation speed is perfect, even on the 1GiB btw) and below. It can even do cloud gaming reasonably well. (Tested XCloud on brave, and the speed was pretty much perfect.)
I don't think that you don't need to give me analogies about SSH and how a bootloader reads an image from a disk. You can just tell me what to do and if I'm interested I can simply look at a much more detailed video on the subject. Maybe just refer to it with a keyword.
JELOS is not defunct. It's been replaced by Rocknix, but their user support is terrible. Do you have any other recommendations for OSes that can be used for emulation on the Orange Pi 5b?
Hey, I bought an OPI5 and installed JELOS but I am having some issues getting PS2 to work. I have tried numerous different bios files and isos but all of them black screen before they get anywhere and do not boot. Any tips?
usually its the file location. Check the settings and see if there is an option to choose the file location manually.
Whilst I applaud he goal, the moving house analogy seemed an odd choice and didn't come across that well (at least to me).
And then, following making the initial SSH connection, things went straight to a Windows explorer style file manager, without guiding a user through how to get there. The same was true when showing copying the files across, without any indication of how the navigation works.
So for a beginner, if I was at that stage, I am sure that I would come away somewhat potentially confused, if I had allowed myself to get the end of the video in the first place.
Those that use SSH, will, of course have their favourites. Mine is WinSCP, which I also think has a more friendly, Windows look interface style.
What's your case?
I noticed it won’t let me download android 12 anymore
